Spend a day here, we did Sunday from noon to 4. They have breakfast at The Coffee Shop, lunch at Joe's Farm Grill, and dinner with wine at Garage-East. There is a farm with a chicken coop, even seating if you want to eat there. There is a Farm Store with produce grown from this farm. There is Barnone which has a bar, pizzeria, ice cream shop, vegan lunch spot, salon, and more. On 2nd Wednesdays are Farmer's Market Nights called "Agritopia Farm Night", which is a big event here, from 5-8 (Sept to May, no Jan). Parking is everywhere. In front of The Coffee Shop, behind The Coffee Shop, next to The Farm Store, Garage East, and near Joe's Farm Grill. On a Sunday in September, there was parking and we were walk-ins everywhere. It was nice to find both, a seat and a place to park. Only a walk a way in Epicenter is Buck & Rider, UnderTow, Bunky Boutique, and Peixoto. Agritopia is a community that encourages "village" life and preservation of urban agriculture. Central to the community is a functioning farm. The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables, fruit, nuts, herbs, and plants. The Farm at Agritopia operates a self-serve farm store and hosts a Wednesday farmers market during the season. The Agritopia Community Garden is a gathering place for members to garden, grow healthy produce, and build community in the garden. There are 48 individual 20x20 plots and 6 half plots. Each plot is leased yearly. The plot, water, access to the tool shed, and social functions of the gardeners are all included in the lease. Also located in Agritopia is The Epicenter, which is a mixed use commercial and residential project featuring retail stores, health clubs, restaurants, a luxury apartment, and more to come. Agritopia is one of my favorites if not my most favorite place in the Valley. I love the community, what it offers as well as the stores and restaurants. Although there are plenty of free parking all around Agritopia, it can be challenging to find a spot on weekend evenings as well as Farm Nights. read more

I live a mile from Agritopia, but have never gone here. Dumb me. I saw on their website that they had pick your own organic citrus. You purchase a 5 lb bag for $8 and someone gives you a map of the orchard. This was so much fun and the orchard is beautiful. There is nothing better than fruit fresh from the tree! I picked oranges, grapefruit and lemons. There are only a few u pick days left this season, so go if you have the chance. I also visited The Coffee Shop and purchased a tasty chocolate chip cookie. Definitely 5.0/5.0. I will return. read more

I've seen this place before but this was my first time stopping by. I came here early in the morning and found I absolutely loved it! This is such a nice grouping of many different fresh and take home items. Whether it be fruits, fresh baked breads, pre-made food (lazagna, pizza, spaghetti and meatballs), coffee grounds. They even sell t-shirts and other clothing. Hot sauces and drink mixers. It was pretty much a lot of my favorite things all in one place. You have the ability to do your own shopping and when you are ready you stop by the iPad and ring yourself up. It was quick and easy. I will MOST definitely be stopping by here again :) read more

This review is for the farm itself. I'm almost nervous to leave a review because I don't want people to know about it and have it become a crowded, expensive disaster like the U pick at the farm out in Queen Creek. Anyway, the U pick started at 8 am this morning. I wish it opened a little earlier because it was already hot by then. It wasn't bad though because being in the orchard we were covered by lots of shade. We had such a lovely morning picking fruit. My kids loved it. There were lots of big ripe peaches and nectarines to pick. They smelled so delicious it was difficult not to immediately take a bite! Not only that, but it wasn't crowded at all. It was very peaceful. I SO appreciated that because we went to a U pick farm out in Queen Creek last week and people were practically fighting each other for peaches. It was horrible. Not here. Not at all. Very reasonably priced too. We paid $2 a lb. If you fill up a box it's about 11 lbs - $22. Not bad! I've already made a pie and some jam today :) The guy checking us out informed us that they will be having a U pick for peaches next week, apples in a few weeks and a citrus U pick around Dec/Jan. I can't wait! They also have a farmers market on Wed and Sat. I'll definitely be back! Love it! read more

I keep seeing this place pop up from time to time on my Instagram and always wanted to take the drive down to check it out. One afternoon, I saw a post saying "Farmers Market" thursday night - come check it out and so we did! Lol Upon arriving, this place was so magical and peaceful. They have such a beautiful set-up for there farm area, a restaurant on site where it was hellah crowded for a thursday evening, cute little coffee/bakery place and inside this steel barn there were two more eatery joints inside that business was booming and other little boutiques...So fascinating! We came to their farmers market - and my mind was set to seeing a big farmers market like you usually would but, it was a small and quaint farmers market supporting small business- which I love and their own veggies from their backyard. Super clean area and the sunset was so beautiful to watch that we ended up buying a few produce and staying for dinner at Joe's Farm Grill... Nice, place to unwind not sure if I would do that right now with this crazy heat though! lol...But, would eventually go back when the weather is cooler and I am able to enjoy the weather being outside! read more

After several visite from a connosoiure friend I has to try this cozy spot of Sunday brunch. The farm light setting was perfect for a June Sunday brunch recommended by a close friend of mine Caleb. You order from a countertop from a vast chalkboard menu next to a full pastry case with the delicious scent of fresh roasted coffee walking through the air. We chose to sit outside in the Orchard Lake patio setting surrounded by local birds creating a pleasant pattern for a breakfast brunch. I had the waffle, he had the all American breakfast in to say the least they were absolutely delicious, full of the fresh flavor like when would expect from a country farm setting establishment Mitch says. Ashley was one of our servers and you can see herb Wright brilliant smile even under a covid-19 mask as their eyes glowed as a member of obviously an employee family treated well because the staff is so professional and courteous and kind. read more

Here today from MO. There are no fruits or vegetables or citrus picking here for sale to the public. I was informed by a somewhat vacant young woman behind the counter of one of the three restaurants here that what is grown is used in the food served in the restaurants. Not worth the trip but then again, it's August. Perhaps the girl behind the counter is just misinformed. Perhaps sales happen earlier or later in the season. But this isn't what most of us call a 'farmers market." Cost me a strawberry shake to find out I can't get any tomatoes here that doesn't come on top of a burger. Nice vibe for a casual lunch with friends or the kids tho. read more

I attended the Valentine's dinner in the Orchard on 2/15/20. I really wanted to like this event but for the cost, I really didn't think it was worth it. For $150 a person, I would expect there to be plenty of drinks to choose from for the entire night (there was only 1 mixed drink, 1 red wine, 1 Rose, and a few beer options and they ran out of some half way through our meal). I also feel that serving every course of the meal "family style" on a big block for everyone at the table to dish out themselves was unacceptable. I could understand doing the salads that way but the main course? And restricting everyone to 2 small pieces of pork? Then the kicker was there wasn't enough mashed potatoes on the board for some people so we had to ask for more which were brought out after a few minutes but they were cold and we'd already eaten our meat. For whatever reason dessert was served individually so why couldn't the rest be served that way? While the food was good (it wasn't extraordinary but it was good), I walked away hungry which is unacceptable when I spent $150 per person for this meal. We could have gone to a nice steakhouse, had a great meal, and spent less. I will never do this event again and if you're smart, you won't either. It's a complete rip off. There are plenty of places with beautiful settings where you can get a nice meal so I recommend trying one of those instead. read more

Went to the Valentine's day dinner with my husband in the farm on the 15th... Honestly could have gotten more food and better drinks for $300 at Mastros city hall. It was a complete waste of time. I legit mean that. The ambience was decent... But for the 2 oz of pork tenderloin and cold mashed potatoes and massive amounts of carrots, flavorless goat tart, and salad. and dessert was a smashed macaroon and meringue... Litterally was not worth it. Everyone at our end of the table went else where after to get food, I think one couple went to burger king lol... We went to backyard taco.... Honestly the biggest let down ever. I feel like I got ripped off 100%... Also on a side note...Our silverware was filthy and the guy across from me asked the waiter for ice and they legit gave him a dirty cup with lipstick stains on it with ice gross. Sorry for the Debbie downer post... I'm just legit mad, I had the highest hopes. I hope the do a MUCH better job next time. read more

Absolutely delicious breakfast food! My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast and we enjoyed everything about this place. Despite it being very busy, the service was excellent. I had an open face omelette which was very fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for coffee and one of their tasty pastries or a burrito made with eggs and chorizo. What an adorable place! Years ago when I was still in the work force working at an interior design company, we did some of the model homes here. I adored the area then and I can't believe it took me this long to get back out here. The whole area is beautiful with the farm and the homes around here are built to look old, they look nothing like the average Arizona home, and the two restaurants here never fail to please me. I was out this way picking up a plasma car on craigslist with my boys and we stopped at the coffee shop for an iced coffee for mommy and to kill a couple of hours. The boys rode the plasma car all over the winding paths. We had a great time. read more

There's a community garden, a neighborhood of beautiful homes and also senior living, and two fun silos with little shops and restaurants. The coffee shop has great treats- donuts, pastries, coffee. Agritopia finally exists as an establishment to Yelp! about. I believe that Agritopia is one of the premiere developments in the state for everything you want in a neighborhood. As I write this, I hear birds chirping in the trees and can spot residents cycling through the streets, enjoying the meticulously landscaped neighborhood. When I first ventured out to Gilbert, nearly 4 years ago, I drove by Agritopia and immediately thought, "This is a neighborhood from Desperate Housewives." Turns out, I was wrong. Dead wrong. I told myself that I could never live in a neighborhood that seemed like it was nothing more that a clean, pristine facade. However, nearly a year ago I moved into the neighborhood, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Here's why: Location: Direct access to the Loop 202 makes it easy to get anywhere in the Valley in about 30 minutes. Also nearby is San Tan Village Mall. The mall is growing and developing into a nice outdoor mall with mid-range to upscale shops. Neighborhood: The neighborhood is beautiful and very well planned out. There are many styles of houses with differing floor plans. There's a home that is the right size for anyone. My parents have a single story, with a basement that is perfect for entertaining; while my wife and I have a small, two-story cottage, that is the perfect starter home for us. Agritopia boasts the smallest two-way streets in the Valley, to help promote pedestrian walkways and reduce the heat island effect within the neighborhood. Given the narrow streets, all homes are equipped with emergency sprinkler systems, reducing homeowner's insurance. There is also a nice community center that is optimal for hosting small events (my wife and I had a wedding shower there, and the community has neighborhood events throughout the year). Not to mention the fitness room with workout equipment, and a nice pool that is even heated in the winter months. The beautiful homes have front doors that face each other and promote social activity in front of the homes with neighbors. This is the optimal way to get to know who lives near you and build lasting relationships, which promotes a true sense of community. Attractions: Keeping with the sense that this land was once a farm lives on for those in the neighborhood. There is a community garden where residents can have their own plot of land to plant, grow and harvest their own crops. (Also promoting sustainability!) There is also a commercial farm which supplies produce to the nearby Joe's Farm Grill and Liberty Market. Joe's Farm Grill is the popular restaurant built from the Johnston's old home. You may have seen them on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This is a great lunch spot! Also, there is The Coffee Shop. Located in an old tractor covering, this coffee house has specialty espresso drinks and pastries. Jessica Cuff, owner, was on Cupcake Wars and took home 1st place for her delicious treats. The farm at Agritopia has a farm stand where the fresh, local, organic produce is available for purchase at extremely reasonable prices. Keep an eye out for this becoming THE PLACE to be in Arizona. Plans for an assisted living development are in the works to break ground this spring/summer. Also, the commercial corner (named the EpiCenter) is in planning stages. This will bring artisan products and establishments to the corner promoting local businesses, walkability, and gourmet food/drink. read more

Really cool place to go and pick fruit. It's better and cheaper than the store. We went today for the first time. Really good citrus and the trees are all blossoming right now so the smell is amazing. There are chickens running around. They sell a 5lb empty bag that you can fill up for $5. They had an 8lb bag as well. They had peach trees as well that were just starting to grow which I assume will be ready in a few months. Had breakfast at the Coffee Shop - ordered Baby Got Jack & Caprese breakfast sandwiches with coffee. Super fresh, great flavor combos. Excellent coffee, too. Waitstaff is friendly & accommodating- bringing by orders to outside patio tables w a smile. Beautiful garden setting outside - you'd never guess you were anywhere near Phoenix. We strolled around the community gardens & Barnone space before most vendors were open. Absolutely LOVE the concept of local food, community gardens, farming & crafts people together. We drove through the quiet planned neighborhood - it was immaculate, reminiscent of vintage Craftsman style homes w front porches, low fences, tidy yards. Refreshing to see a recently developed area in the valley that isn't Californicated w cracker box anonymous housing tracts.
