The billing manager who sits at the receptionist desk sent my bill to an incorrect address (major HIPAA violation). This upset me very much. Additionally, the bill was for an amount in excess of the agreed-upon treatment plan, and there were no details as to what the extra amount was for. In speaking with the billing manager, she promptly hung up on me. I called back to talk with Dr. Rizwan to advise him of the situation. The billing manager sarcastically replied, "He is busy. Oh, don't worry, he will get the message and call you back." Three weeks have passed, and Dr. Rizwan has not returned my call. I believed we had a good dentist-patient relationship. However, I was wrong. It has been three weeks, and I have not received a response to date. I referred people to the Kentlands Dentistry practice, and they will not be returning because of this. Shame on the billing manager who felt so comfortable hanging up on a paying customer and for her very unprofessional manner. I am also disappointed that Dr. Rizwan would allow such an employee to work there and behave in such an unprofessional manner, and that he never returned my call. I thought I had finally found MY dentist. Very disappointing to say the least. Maybe the billing manager was a family member of Dr. Rizwan's, but she was horribly rude and upsetting. A HIPAA violation is taken very seriously and cannot be ignored.

I'm very disappointed in how this dental office handled my billing and insurance estimate. Before a…read morerecent procedure, I requested an estimate of my out-of-pocket cost and was told in writing it would be $275, which I paid in full at the time of my visit. Two months later, I received a surprise bill for an additional $598 -- more than three times the original estimate. When I asked for clarification, the office explained that they are out-of-network with my insurance provider. At no point in the written estimate or treatment plan was this mentioned, nor was I warned that this could result in significantly higher costs. When I raised these concerns, they claimed they had verbally disclosed their out-of-network status during a consultation over a year ago. I do not recall such a conversation, and regardless, this critical information was completely absent from the written estimate I received at the time of scheduling the procedure. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter respectfully -- even offering a partial goodwill payment -- the office and owner ultimately stood by the charge and stopped responding to my emails after a single reply. I believe patients deserve clear and transparent financial information, especially when given a written estimate. Omitting important details like network status and potential insurance penalties is, in my view, both unprofessional and unfair. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this office after such a costly and frustrating experience.

I called the office 3 times to ask and no call back. I gave up and decided to get a new scan as I had $$ in my FSA that I had to use or lose. I made an appt for 8am and the dr wasn't in yet. I waited for 30 min and still no doctor, so I left. I didn't get a call from them at all. They charge patients who don't show up, maybe I should charge them? I'm a long time patient so I kept my 6 mo appt, which was last week. The hygienist (who was great) mentioned there is a note in my file regarding a night guard, would I like them to scan my mouth at this visit? I said no but they checked my insurance anyway and it wasn't covered so I opted out. I did flat out tell the nice hygienist that this would be my last time here as the poor service shouldn't be tolerated. I am not holding my breath for a call.

From the receptionists at the front to the dental assistants, dental hygienists and the doctors my family has received services from, they are always so friendly and has customer service in mind. The doctors my family had experiences with were: - Dr. Rouhanian (General Dentist): When I was told by another doctor that I needed to do a pretty big job on one of my molars, I felt that doctor was pretty aggressive with his suggestion. Dr Rouhanian was the first doctor who has ever advised me that I did not have to do anything I was not comfortable with. Dr. Rouhanian was more caring and sensitive to his patient and I so appreciated the methodical approach he suggested to fixing my tooth versus the aggressive route. - Dr. Farajian (Pediatric Dentist): She is so sweet and kind to the kids. I always get the vibe that she loves children and truly cares about their dental health and wellbeing. My four-year-old recently had six cavities filled and a tooth extraction done. Dr. Farajian and her staff did their best to make my son feel safe and comfortable before and during the procedures. - Dr. Abdulateef (Orthodontist): He explained the dental issues my daughter was experiencing and provided his suggestions to rectify the issues. He was patient and further explained when needed and answered my questions. I did not feel pressured to get the Invisalign or braces. He made it my choice. - Dr. Guerrero (Endodontist): He was calm, collected and took his time in explaining his opinion for the condition of my molar that needed some work. His demeanor and professional evaluation gave me the comfort to move forward with his suggestions. He was patient in answering any questions I had. This is a great family dental practice. I would not have spent this much time writing a detailed review if I was not so pleased with their service.
