Support systems was a life changer for me. From the minute I got there, I was treated so gently and cared for. The Staff is amazing. The counselors are great. My Counselor Georgia worked with my beliefs and nothing was pressured. She was amazing. When she wasn't there, Judy was always willing to listen to me with Years of knowledge and Wisdom. The Groups led by Donna, Judy, Georgia, Dawn, Henry and the Interns were always different with lots of Tools to help you. Russ and Jeff were super helpful in my process. Nurse Dawn did more than just Medical. She was like another Counselor to me. The night peeps are amazing as well. They make it very comfortable and are so good to us. The food... OMG, we ate Gourmet food every day. CHEF Felix is Amazing. Yes, CHEF. He even made us Sushi. I recommend SSH to anyone looking for addiction support. read more

Would not recommend. Prepaid for treatment that wasn't completed. They said a refund takes 2 weeks. It's been 4 weeks. When I call I get sent to voice-mail every time with no call backs. There us never anyone to talk to and they won't give you any info, just a voice mail. Very unprofessional. Stay far far away from this place unless you want to throw yoyr money away. read more

My overall experience here was good. I had never been to inpatient before and didn't know what to expect. I spent 30 days here. The counselors were great active listeners, very thoughtful, and very caring in their approach and provided great worksheets and books to read. Due to Covid, we couldn't have visitors, and some of the outdoor activities were limited, but we were still able to face time during normal visitation days, and went to the park / on walks once or twice a week. The facility is an old nursing home converted into a rehab center, so I wouldn't expect a stay in a super posh place, but recovery is what you make of it, and they have everything you really need - a place to sleep, great food, workout equipment, ping pong table, board games, and a small patio. And to reiterate - the chef is amazing. Used to work for Guy Fieri. 5 star meals, every meal. Regarding administration / FMLA paperwork and processing - they are super busy so things may take some time. But it will get done. Overall I would recommend the facility to others. read more

These folks are the experts, not to mention dedicated to saving lives. Full service substance abuse treatment facility, that's been around forever. Staff is dedicated to saving lives, but don't get it twisted, you gotta do the footwork, and that can be painful. I was a client at this housing facility and it was a very beneficial time towards my recovery. My one-on-one councilor Valorie was great at helping look through my past actions to assess the tools needed to avoid relapsing. The groups were good at allowing me to open up my problems with alcohol and not making me feel judged. The food was amazing due to a great chef Felix. I can't say enough good things about Support Systems. The entire staff really cares and it shows. They are always checking in on you and doing their best to make sure you are comfortable. At the front of the house, Jeff, Russ and Donna are amazing. Janelle is great. Mr. (please, come again) Henry and Ken are cool dudes help take care of client needs. My counselor was Judy and she is fantastic. She really tries to work with you and isn't pushy about it. She goes the extra mile for you. Philipe is the other counselor and he is great too. (Best Greek dance I've ever seen) The staff in the Med Shack are wonderful. Scotty, Carrie, Marci, Nicole, Coach, Michelle and Melissa. They really are fun and caring people. And OMG the food! Felix is the chef and the food is some of the best I've ever had. (He's a Dodger though so give him hell Giants fans) On a personal note, I thought just doing detox would 'fix' me. I tried four times over two years before coming to the realization that I needed more. I was terrified to be away from my 5yo daughter for so long. But I knew this would only be a small blip in her life so I surrendered and committed to the 30 day program like they told me I should from the first time I was there. It totally reset my brain and was just what I needed. I was able to form relationships with other clients which was the start to my recovery foundation. I regained mental clarity and found some inner peace. Today I am 60 days sober and feeling great! Looking forward to coming back for alumni nights. In regards to the one star reviews, I read them all, and they are all isolated incidents. Every business has logistical issues on occasion. And this is not dirty, I can attest to that as we did chores twice a day. Which really just make you feel accomplished and like you are pulling your weight for the house. Micheal helped me wife and kept in touch with her via text the entire time..... Jeff helped me with my struggles and other issues.... the food is fantastic. Wonderful Place! I just spent 30 days there recovering from alcoholism, and I now have the tools and understanding of my disease necessary to maintain sobriety...Finally! Here are my comments: Every staff person is a dedicated healthcare professional genuinely very concerned about your recovery, offering ongoing and continuous support during your stay. The group sessions and "self discovery" process is very effective. And the food is delicious and healthy, prepared by a professionally chef (Felix). You will enjoy your time there and get what you need to live a sober life. As far as specific staff: Georgia is a wonderful and skilled counselor and therapist; James and Scotty are at the top of their profession, ensuring all your day-to-day and hour-to-hour needs are met; And if you have a serious issue...See Russ. I attended here for a month-long inpatient program and had many issues with this place. Although the staff is competent and often wonderful, the owner and management are only about the money. I take medication for epilepsy as well as others, at the time, for opioid detox, but the management would "forget" to refill my medicine which is beyond reasonable. I would clash here and there with the manager who is a dry addict with a fake story and zero compassion for the patients and I ended up with a grand mal seizure needing to be hospitalized via ambulance precisely because I wasn't receiving enough medicine that I required, as the manager denied me seeing their doctor with an arbitrary rule after I complained. Even the counselors hadn't heard of this "rule" before I was told. The staff gets five stars for compassion and being super competent at their jobs, even most of the counselors were amazing because they cared, but the way this place is structured and managed is one-star. Not only myself but I saw others being told to "go without" daily medication while they got to refill it via CVS which is literally down the street and could have been done any time before. It's that ridiculous and insane. Even after I graduated, the manager was still trying to work a con for more money which was disgusting after I suffered a seizure due to their incompetence. They're about money at Support Systems and even though I cleaned up, they only went about Subutex for less than a handful of days which is the shortest detox I've ever known about following weeks of suffering, hurt, and nobody caring which speaks to their merit. When I complained about this, I was told by the manager that it was a "recovery" center which apparently disregarded my pain and suffering for unexplained reasons. They offer zero programs, activities, or anything that costs money, thus the days are long with mostly downtime while the owner, Bob, was attending the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight during my time I was there. That tells you all you need to know about Support Systems. read more

The staff here are AWESOME! They are very supportive and understanding of each clients needs. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for help with addiction. They too are recovered addict who can relate to each individual. I cannot say enough how wonderful the treatment center is! The out patient or SLE on the other hand are unfortunately not even close. The SLE is supposed to be a safe home for these kids and adults and they require them to be out of the house from 8-5. How can they expect them to be out when they are still learning to be sober. I wasn't happy at all. Needed to send my son to another SLE outside of Support Systems. read more

If I could give a negative star I would, this place is a complete joke, incompetent staff. Good luck trying to detox in a place that can't get equipment to function and wants to leave your door open as you detox Don't pay ahead of time because if you realize they are as dumb as they are they, you will get kicked to street. Blasting music next to detox room, can't close door during detox. Covid tested me yet they deny they Covid anyone which is even more disturbing. You have a staff with no mask coming in and out of facility and we ask why it's Covid spreading? You couldn't pay me to detox in this place. I can go on for hours. I want to start this by explaining my situation. I am in early recovery and I am desperate to have a stable place to transition into a healthy and productive lifestyle. I was referred to support systems homes by my outpatient counselor (whom is amazing and is not to blame for this terrible experience) simply because they were the first provider to have an "open bed" available. I was waiting for a few weeks to hear back from my counselor when out of the blue I was instructed to call the support systems office to schedule an intake appointment. I did so (on a Thursday) and was told that I had the option to come in for intake on Friday, Monday, or Tuesday. I work a full time job that relies on me to be there when I am scheduled and because of this, I'm unable to call in on such short notice without severely inconveniencing my employer. When the support systems people tell me that I can come in on a Tuesday at 3:00, I assume that it won't be a problem to do just that. Well, that's where things start to become problematic. I show up on Tuesday at 3:00pm because it is the only time that doesn't conflict with my busy schedule, and complete the intake paperwork. It's now 4:15 and I am told that I need to submit a urine sample. However, there is no male staff available to oversee the drug test, so they tell me I need to go straight to their testing center (which is 2.5 miles away from the office I was at.) Without a car it isn't realistic that I will make it there by 5:00pm as it is now 4:30pm as I am leaving their office. But wait! They never even told me I had to be there by 5o'clock! They said I just had to go straight there. And that's exactly what I did. When I arrive, it is 5:33pm. I am confronted in an incredibly rude and unprofessional manner by the staff there. In a very condescending and demeaning manner, the staff begins to chastise me for not choosing to show up at the intake office at an earlier time/date. They proceed to tell me that they refuse to collect a urine sample from me because I didn't get there by 5:00pm. I was never informed about this 5:00 deadline, simply that I had to head straight there. The staff who is now informing me of their inability to complete the drug test is a male staff whom has full authority and discretion to do just that. He just felt that it was his duty at this point to teach me a lesson about the importance of punctuality. They explain to me that I have now lost my bed at the transitional housing unit that I have been desperately waiting for (and have set many plans in motion in anticipation of) All this because they "are on their way out the door". All I have to do is pee in a cup and wait for the results (which takes approx 3minutes from start to finish). I am in a very delicate stage of my recovery and all I want to do is be placed into the structured living environment that I have waited my fair share of time for. Instead, I am told that I have to start this process over from the beginning. They through me back out to the streets when I needed the safety, security, and structure of a sober living environment simply because they weren't about to allow me to take their drug test 30 minutes late. I WAS 30 MINUTES LATE BECAUSE I DONT HAVE TRANSPORTATION, AND THERE WAS NO ADVANCE NOTICE THAT I WOULD NEED TO TRAVEL TO A SEPARATE LOCATION TO COMPLETE THEIR PROCESS! The lack of communication, clarity, and professionalism demonstrated by support systems in this experience prove that they certainly dont have a very good "system", and that they are not at all empathetic to the misery of addIction and lack the awareness to identifly an individual whom is trying their hardest to escape the unhealthy and destructive way of living that comes with drug use. Not exactly "supportive" if you ask me. The sad thing is there isn't any agency/group/authority in existence to audit, correct, or hold this flawed business accountable for its heartless and unprofessional conduct. Don't waste your time with support systems if you want to have a positive experience while pursuing sobriety and recovery. read more

I left a review on google and they deleted my comment so I will leave a review here and hope it will not get deleted in hopes of helping someone make a decision if they should attend Support Systems Homes or not. This place is an absolute joke. I don't even know where to begin. I had found out I was pregnant when I was there and I was very excited about it, not only was my counseler extremely rude about it, but they actually kicked me out 5 days before my graduation because they assumed I had got pregnant there even though I was 8 weeks pregnant and had only been there for 5! And on top of that they had cameras everywhere they could have checked it they really thought I got pregnant there. They are extremely understaffed and I can't count how many days some of the staff would just not show up leaving the clients to basically have to figure out their recovery alone which was a common theme because they were so understaffed as it was so they could not tend to the clients needs and what they really needed to start in early recovery. They had no medical nurses at all so the techs would give the clients their meds and could not help with detox concerns or medical questions at all. It scares me to think that people who are really seeking help can go here and actually need more therapy after they leave due to the poor management and complete joke of a program. I cannot believe this place is still open and I really hope that something changes drastically or they are shut down. Complete joke of a rehabilitation center. I would highly recommend you do not send your loved one here.. ever. read more

Thank you Support Systems for giving my son the tools to deal with his alcoholism and integrate back into his normal life and friends. The outpatient program was a great experience for our family and the care and expertise of the counselors and staff who dealt with my son one on one as well as in the group were instrumental in his success. The twelve step program he went through this time has worked and I am thankful to Support Systems for that. I'm 96 sober today. Support systems gave me the chance I needed to get sober and I couldn't be more grateful. I came in broken and lost and they accepted me with open arms . The staff and counselors know what they're doing, they all became like family to me. I not only was able to get clean, but I was able to work on some of the core issues that were reasons I used. I now live in a sober living environment house run by support systems and I love it. The house is strong in recovery and we all are doing what we need to do to stay sober. I also attend intensive outpatient therapy through support systems 3 nights a week and it's honestly my favorite part of day. I get to unwind there and talk about the things that are on my mind. It's great. I'm so thankful to support systems for helping me through out the past couple months because they taught me that I can love myself and that I can deal with life on life's terms without using. read more

I have always found Support Systems Homes Programs all to be no-nonsense, honest, and reasonably priced treatment that can compete with any of the alcohol and drug programs professing to be the best while charging one an exorbitant amount of money for the treatment one actually receives. I attended a 2 month inpatient treatment program at Support Systems and the experience changed my life. When I went there, I was scared and broken down mentally, physically, and emotionally from my addiction. I left feeling safe and confident in myself and in my sobriety. I have now been sober for almost 4 months. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the get-go, and made sure that I got the help that I needed. From the CD techs to the counselors, every staff member was friendly and made me feel at home during my treatment. Both Amanda and Rose are amazing counselors, and got to the issues behind why I abused alcohol and drugs. My core issues were addressed and when I left, I felt like I really had a chance at being sober, despite my prior beliefs that nothing would help me get and stay sober. I will always be grateful to Support Systems inpatient and outpatient programs for giving me a safe place to get my feet back on the ground. read more

My husband went here. I thought he was doing good, but when he came home and one of his "friends" started calling him, he started drinking again. Turns out he got caught in the bathrooms messing our with her and Support Systems let them both get away with it and graduate. This place was a hook up place for addicts and it ruined our lives. He ended up in prison and I ended up worse. I have nothing good to say about this place. read more
