Our experience with Rusco started off well. We worked with Leo to select and purchase our door. He was everything you'd want in a sales guy: professional, not pushy, personable and very responsive through the process. We sat with four companies, and Leo sold us on the history of Rusco, quality of craftsmanship and lifetime warranty. We started the process at the start of Sept. and our door was up at the start of Nov. With the cost of the door north of $6K, I was really expecting the contractors to do a seamless job, but that is where Rusco fell short. They were VERY quick to install and during the process chipped our new railing. I understand they were working in a small space, but it couldn't have been the first time working in such a confined location. After they left, the doorframe was not what I had expected in terms of high quality work. I would think they would have enough stain to spare for the ends of the top of the frame (I brought this up to the contractors and they said they didn't have any stain left). There is also white coming through the top doorframe. I reached out to Leo and he told me to wipe it with a wet towel (which obviously already tried prior to reaching out). They assumed it was sheet rock and thought it was dust. The wet cloth did nothing...Leo called on 11/11 and asked if he and another guy could stop by, which they did on that day. The first thing they tried to do was wipe it with a wet cloth (again had already tried that) and then nothing. They were perplexed and said they'd come back the following week with stain and fix it up. It has been radio silence since this moment. Overall, we really do love our door. It is beautiful, but we could have received the same exact door from a number of other companies and we have some regrets with selecting Rusco. After paying the money we have, we should not have to chase and we feel the job should have been completed seamlessly. You live and you learn. read more

I use them a lot over the years but my experience with Rusco with building a three seasons room for me was a huge disappointment. The product quality itself left a lot to be desired. The subcontractors hired by Tom produced work that I would not consider to be of professional standards. The sunroom has one 12 ft gutter section. It actually leaks on both ends! They couldn't even get something so minor and simple right. Whilel they were working the job, already present on site with a tall ladder, I asked them if they could fix a piece of aluminum fascia on my garage that was starting to come off. Tom charged me $300 for literally less than 10 minutes worth of work. And all they did was nail the nails that had fallen out back into the same holes. No surprise that that exact piece of fascia fell off again this year. I had to hire a local roofing company to fix it properly. Not happy that I had to have the same thing repaired twice because of the incompetent Rusco subcontractors. Very shameful that I was charged $300 for 10 minutes worth of work. It required no materials on the part of Rusco and no drive time on the part of Rusco. I felt very ripped off. That's the thanks I got for all the work I gave Tom over the years. read more

Saw one of your workers in a Rusco branded work truck driving through the highway recklessly and dangerously on 03/23/25. They were serving in and out of traffic going at least 100+ MPH I know because I was going 85 in the left lane. They were also NOT using their turn signals. If this is how your drivers drive to their jobs it makes your question if when they get there are they also rushing the work just to get it done with? This is a poor reflection of your company I certainly won't be using your services when I need my windows and doors replaced. read more

I have used Rusco in the past to install my windows in my home. They did a fabulous job, so I wanted them to install a new slider and entryway door with a storm door. They equally did a fantastic job. The installer Derek was fabulous, very professional, and did an amazing job on all of my doors. He was Prompt always on time, extremely knowledgeable and took the time to make sure everything was perfect and that I was happy. In addition, he showed me how all the doors functioned with all their super cool features. There was a slight mixup with my entryway door color, Naturally, I was in a panic, but Tom corrected the problem without any issues. The doors look fabulous. There is such a tremendous difference with my new doors 1) My new slider is not only beautiful; it's very sturdy with nice locking mechanisms. The slider is just top quality! The old slider was not Energy efficient at all. This new slider is solid, and glides smoothly and quietly on the track. I notice a big difference when I sit in front of the slider, I no longer freeze when I'm eating dinner! (it's located in my dining room). it's also made so well it's reduced the noise coming from the well traveled street in front of my home. 2) Front entry and storm doors are just fantastic. They are such quality. My neighbor came over to look at all the doors and was Impressed at the quality and weight of the doors and also thought they were beautiful. I wanted blinds inside my sidelights and I got exactly what I wanted. I used to get such terrible drafts coming through my old entry door and sidelights. I needed some windows replaced and didn't know where to turn. On the advice of a friend, I called Rusco and could not have been more pleased. It's difficult to conduct any business during the COVID-19 crisis, but Rusco understood our concerns and waited until we were ready. When the day came to install the windows, the crew took much less time than I anticipated and left the house cleaner than it was before. My parents got casement windows from them few years ago, they were happy with the service back then so decided they will use them again for patio doors and one more casement window. This was the biggest mistake ever. The installation was set for April 15&16 of 2021, doors came with no screens and wrong hardware, the casement window came with bent screen. One of the patio doors glass panel had dirt and fingerprints on the inside.Since then we started chasing them to bring the patio door screens and the correct hardware. He had the screens in his warehouse for weeks but didn't want to send installers as he wanted to wait for the new glass panel and hardware, so everything could be installed at once. Finally after multiple conversations how we need to be able to use our doors and get the screens ( his assistant even suggested us picking them up ourselves and installing them), Tom decided him and Mike can install them themselves. The whole ordeal took hours to complete, they were clueless how to do it, scratched the paint on the outside of the patio doors frames, and before they even left one of the doors fell on me. The screens were incorrectly installed so they were not sliding properly, they had to send installers 4 times to get them to work alright. In the meantime the product they installed is completely defective, the plastic frame started expanding around the glass, they had to order replacements. They wanted to fix the scratches by using touch up paint and the person who did it is not even a painter! The end result was disastrous, doors that are that expensive can't be left in this shape, especially when it was their own doing. I straight up told them we need everything fixed before we can release the last portion of the payment. However, they withdrew the money off our Synchrony Bank account without final signature for completion, and they claimed the project is completed and all of our complaints are now warranty issues. Of course they also don't care about your time and arrangements you have to make so you can be at home whenever they can make it. Mike canceled an appointment last minute on us, 20 mins before the set time as all of a sudden a glass was broken. Then again weeks of waiting , pushing the deadlines and every time providing the same excuses. The replacement doors were supposed to come in August, then they said Mid September, after that Mid November. Finally they came in November, started to replace the defective panels and realized during these months the manufacturer changed locks, so now they didn't have the correct locks, the glass panel on one of the replacements was again with fingerprints and scratches, the paint on the outside was shade off compared to the first doors they installed, and still no correct hardware. I was furious, I sent email to Tom asking him is all this a joke, how is this a professional service, the guy didn't bother responding he just forwarded my email to Polaris and a manager contacted me, they again ordered new doors which were set to be installed by the end of December 2021. After multiple texts with Mike, and lies how the doors arrived but Tom is out of town and they are in his warehouse ( we were waiting on a guy who didn't bother to keep in touch with his customers for months), they came to install them in March. In the meantime, I had to hire an attorney trying to get some kind of a resolution and refund of the money he unlawfully withdrew. As soon as my attorney sent him a written letter, all of a sudden he started communicating and trying to make it right. A whole year of going back and forth and he now is trying to make it right, I have asked him to come and inspect the product so he can see what I am talking about, never came. After the fiasco on the 18th and defective product again, last min canceled painter appointment on 3/20, I told him I don't want any of them to step foot in our house. Is this how you treat customers? Stay away from this business! Their products are defective and poor quality and they won't fix it!!! read more

Can't say enough good about my experience - Tom and Rusco were fantastic. In the process of selling my home - the front door was unable to be opened with a key. Locksmith said unable to be repaired. Quotes for a new door from other door companies were quite expensive and worse yet would take 4-6 weeks since a custom size door. Tom came out and said I could sell you a door but the lock can be repaired and told me what needed to be done. Then he made a phone call and tracked down a company who might be able to repair it. My experience with Rusco started out great and then disappeared. I originally contacted them for an estimate on replacing a window. They came out and took a look at the situation. Everything seemed good. The person who came out was great and knowledgeable. We came up with a quote and agreed on a price. Everything was going so good that I didn't even care to get an estimate from other companies at the time. I did explain that I would need approval from my HOA, and that this was the first time that i've gone through this process. So, I wasn't sure how long it would take. They were fine with that. After a couple of months, I contacted them to get the install scheduled, explaining that i'd like to get it done before the cold weather sets in and that the actual scheduling was the part that I was more in need of getting done so that I could schedule time off for it. I was told that they'd get back to me shortly. It's been over a month now. I checked back a few times in that period and received no response. I'm not sure if the job was "too small" and not important enough, as seems to happen with many window installers, or what happened. My experience up until it came time to actually schedule things was great. I'm quite disappointed in how communication just disappeared though. read more

The salesman came to my house and was very knowledgeable about the product, and the price was comparable to if not less than other companies. It was delivered and installed in a timely manner and they did a great job with the installation. I did order the pet screen, which they did not give me. A week or so after the installation, the salesman stopped by my home to view the job, and he agreed the screen was not a pet screen, so he reordered the pet screen and they are providing me with a whole new screen door.
