They took varied tests and pictures of my eyes and I was advised to see my primary care doctor or my cardiologist as soon as I could. The doctor sent a message to both about my condition and told me to call to set up an appointment with either. The doctor made a follow-up call the next morning to see if I'd had any luck (which I hadn't) and called me again later that day. That's quality care!

The clinic is busy, but the system and secretaries make things run quite smooth. I'm a rather difficult case, presenting with angle recession glaucoma following an injury I had over 15 years ago. After a botched attempt in changing my eyedrop regiment at another clinic, Dr. Coburn's team accepted me as a patient and asked me to come by ASAP. As bad as the situation was, Dr. Coburn set me back on the right path. When I'm in a critical point in my care, the doctors here are willing to make exceptions. Dr. Queen has placed a beautiful shunt in my eye. I can't see it. Post-op check ups are frequent and I feel comfortable as a patient. Compared to other clinics, communication is quick and much needed emergency visits are taken seriously. Hard to get care this good anywhere.

I was told that day that the same eye with the cornea issue had cellular issues and may need surgery to repair the cells. They scheduled a follow-up to check on the cellular issue. The cornea issue was a known issue for years. I had not heard of the cellular issue until this day. When I went back a month or so later as recommended for the follow up, the machine that reads the eyes' cells was acting up again. I was there neatly 4 hours for what was supposed to be a simple follow up. They eventually were able to get scans and said cells looked normal and the original scan must have been bad. Then Dr. Slade said my cornea looked fine and I did not have a cornea problem, which was concerning because a month prior he looked at my eye and said he could see the cornea issue. When I reminded him that I have had a cornea issue for 30+ years and he saw it a month prior, he insisted my cornea was fine. In addition, I never received a prescription for eye glasses, so I called to get a copy since I went there for my annual exam. I was directed to go to an optometrist. Mind you, I was charged for each visit. I wasted my time and have to start over with another doctor. Something is amiss. I would not recommend.

It's been a pleasant experience from the first day I picked up the phone to call and ask questions from CINDY. Everyone was really kind and caring which made me feel really comfortable . Dr. Scott Segal is a professional at what he does and he was very kind, informative, and caring. I did thorough research into who I should pick to go with for my lasik surgery and I'm glad to have picked him. I'm currently recovering from the procedure and it seems to be going great. Dr. Scott also gave me his personal number in case I have any questions or concerns. All information regarding financing, prescriptions, and scheduling were easy to follow. I had my post op checkup this morning and I already have 20/25 vision :).

Since then, the care has become less personalized and more generic. My new complaint is the new service charge of 2.5% when using a credit card. Supposedly it does not exceed their CC charge and does not apply to debit cards (which I used) but a CC charge is a cost of doing business for the convenience of your patients. This seems like a way to boost revenue and had me grumbling the whole time there. They also stopped taking AMEX which was another kicker. If it wasn't for Dr. Jhaveer and Debbie, I would be looking for another eye doctor.
