We did Abandoned Mineshaft and Pirate Shipwreck- both were real fun. I personally liked Pirate more because puzzles were a slightly easier and we have a team of 3. We have found multiple rooms is challenging with 3 and we were mostly successful with this one (which always feels better to escape, than not, obviously). Mineshaft is great too, but was more difficult for our party to escape. Peeps that we encountered onsite were awesome, friendly, and helpful- thanks Theo and Will! If we can get a bigger team we'll definitely be back for the final room (but told it's more advanced so too much for our small group atm) Highly recommend if you're an enthusiast- we've done around a dozen rooms at multiple sites and this place is one of our faves! read more

Did the pirate room and had a great time! Was with a large group of 10 and while it was a little cozy there was plenty for everyone to do. The story, props and puzzles all went together well and for both more experienced puzzlers and newcomers to the escape room activity alike a lot of fun was had. This was my second escape room (though not my first puzzle activity) and it was head and shoulders above the first room I did. I'll definitely be back. There are three rooms (and I'll probably get to all three over time). The Pirate room was a good place to start but the garden room which is longer will be my next trip. read more

Oh man. This place has escape rooms figured out! We walked in tonight just randomly cause we live around the corner and were looking for something to do. Theo was so kind and had space for us to do an impromptu booking. Everything about this place was awesome. There was a puzzle in the lobby while you wait which got us in the right mindset to play. The room we did was super immersive. The puzzles were challenging but really fun. We cannot wait to go back and try their other room, and we are excited for the two new rooms they're working on. If you like escape rooms, this place is top notch. You'd never know cause it looks a bit like a hole in the wall place in the back of an office park but... once you're inside, you'll be impressed with their amazing attention to detail. read more

We love this place. A group of six of us did the pirate ship for my birthday and had a blast. I believe only two of us had done an escape room previously, but everyone had something to add and helped us towards the final goal. The puzzles were challenging without being too difficult. We completed the room with 17 minutes left, only using two hints. I have also done the mineshaft one and that one was definitely more challenging, but we only had two of us. I definitely recommend a group of 3 to 4+ to complete these puzzles in the time frame. However, we still had a blast, even without completing the challenge. All of the staff I have interacted with have been super friendly be helpful (big shoutout to Theo!!!!) and we came back later and got to meet the owners, and they were both super sweet, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. They are even almost done building a third escape room, which I cannot wait to come and try out. As far as escape room businesses go, I have definitely had the most positive experiences with this one and love that it's close to my house. Such amazing production values and interesting puzzles! I have done dozens of escape rooms on both coasts and even in other countries, and this place is one of my favorite. From a very modest and unassuming building, what first strikes you when you enter a room is the incredible set design and world building. Rather than just being a room that is decorated to the theme with puzzles, the entire experience tells a story that is incredibly immersive and the puzzles fit into that narrative rather than feeling like distractions. The puzzles themselves are unique and interesting, forcing you to think outside the box, and even on the ones I couldn't get and needed hints for, I wasnt frustrated at the puzzle design but genuinely impressed that they had managed to stump me. Some other escape rooms I have been to suffer from the problem where they reuse common escape room tropes, but I don't think my previous experience gave me too much of an advantage here, which was refreshing. So far, I've done the Pirate Shipwreck, Abandoned Mine, and Guardian's Grove, and all were super neat experiences. The staff has also been really friendly when I've been and really supportive of the new-to-escape-room friends I've brought with me. I'd say my only "complaint" is their webpage could do a better job of giving info on the relative difficulties of their rooms and potentially also give at least one real picture of the room design as a teaser rather than than just the stylized drawn artwork. I mean, I get wanting the first time you enter to be a surprise, but how y'all gonna spend all that time and money on photorealistic sets, motorized props, and stage lighting and not want to show off just a little bit? Maybe just a super zoomed in photo so it doesn't give too much away? Three to four people would probably be ideal for the ones I did, but i've only been here as a group of two and the rooms were still very very enjoyable and doable. I'd be surprised with only two, though, if you were able to make it through to the end without a few hints due to the length, complexity, and non-linearity. A hidden escape room gem in the greater Seattle area and always worth the drive. Booking is easy and availability is really good and I'm baffled that they aren't more busy than they seem to be. Please support this company and keep them in business so they don't close down and I can keep going to fun new rooms from them . read more

They gave clear rules on how the room worked and told us all that we needed to know to be set up for success. My group did the Pirate Shipwreck experience and it was well worth it. The business was clean upon entering and the staff member who led us through everything was a joy to work with. This is the 4th escape room business I have worked with and this was by far the best experience. I was a little uneasy about the $120 price tag for me and my date but the experience was well worth it. Unfortunately with the allotted 70 minutes we could not escape but the staff member gave us extra time so that we could actually complete the escape. Pretty sure they even stayed after close to make that happen. I will 100% be trying all the rooms at this business and will send my friends here. The final touch that was nice is they took our picture and it was sent to us without even asking. Awesome! read more

I was in a group of 4, and it was the first time any of us had attempted an escape room! We were actually the first group to try out the new room, Shimmer Reef. It was super well crafted and the puzzles were interesting and fun! Apparently it took around 6 months to craft, and you could definitely tell! All the employees were very kind, and the room was extremely fun to go through! 10/10, I would absolutely recommend trying the Shimmer Reef room, whether you are a beginner or not! read more

Wow! This place is so fun. We couldn't stop talking about it on the ride home. We LOVE escape rooms and this one is in our Top 3! We've done around 30 of them so that is a huge deal to be in our top 3! The owners truly take pride in their work and it shows. The design was amazing and love the different interactive parts. We have played a lot of escape rooms, and this one is for sure one of the best. We did the Shipwreck room, and it was very well done. Sometimes lighting can be a real problem, but not here. The puzzles were hard, but easily solvable. There were unique puzzles in the room, that made it a lot of fun. The gamemaster, Ruby, was totally awesome and very helpful. Everything was clean and felt safe. Overall, a great experience and will definitely go back for the other rooms. read more

This is one of the best escape rooms i've ever been to! Theo was the one who scheduled us and was our "game master" and he did an incredible job. We booked super late and ended up starting at 9:00 on a Sunday night but he was friendly and more than willing to be there with a smile. He gave a great, descriptive introduction and a fun pre-room story. I highly recommend coming here for family fun or even just a nice night with friends! We did the abandoned mineshaft room and the puzzles were challenging but made sense, and they all seemed to connect in a way. Had a great experience at Sure Lock! We went for a corporate team building event - some people had never done an escape room, others had done quite a few. The staff explained the basics and the room premise and sent us in. The room itself was spacious and thoughtful decorated. Obviously a lot of attention to detail went into the design. Puzzles were great - the answer in the end made sense even if it took a few tries to get there! Some of the most well connected clues I've seen in an escape room. We eventually got out with only 7 seconds left. Love the location outside the city, getting there and parking was easy.
