Like many small cities, the nightlight turns down at a decent hour, so plan accordingly. I recommend exercising caution in the neighborhood after hours because of crime. I love dogs too but I don't want to hear them barking constantly, either like I did here. When I opened the door, I actually thought "this must be the wrong room," because it had everything. There was a full kitchen, comfortable living room area, and spacious bathroom. Stayed there on a Tuesday night and was told there was a happy hour with food from 6-8pm. From the looks of it, there was some great snacks and drinks available. The noise level alone was unacceptable - honestly worse than a kid-focused resort like a "fun dome" environment. There were large team groups staying at the hotel, and the staff made little to no effort to manage them. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6:00 AM, coaches and teens were running through the halls, loudly pounding on every door to wake their teams and using profanity and racial slurs. Despite clearly being an adult business traveler, I was repeatedly disturbed until I had to yell through the door to be left alone before threatening to call the front desk. That should never be necessary. Beyond the noise, the overall condition of the property was disappointing. The bed sagged noticeably, the AC unit appeared to be filled with mold as did the room itself, wallpaper was peeling, and the air in the room felt stagnant with an unpleasant, almost rotting odor. The paid food options were underwhelming at best and not worth the cost. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I expected at least a baseline level of recognition or service, there were no meaningful benefits acknowledged during my stay. While I did receive a verbal apology and was offered a refund for one night, that refund and any associated points were never actually processed, which only added to the frustration. Lastly, the surrounding area felt questionable and did not provide a sense of safety. The surrounding area is not safe Overall, this stay fell far below expectations across multiple levels noise control, cleanliness, service, and follow-through. I would not recommend this location.

The lady who checked me in at the front desk was friendly and welcomed me as an IHG member. She explained a few amenities and then provided me a key to my room. The hotel was clean and while it was newly upgraded, it wasn't old and decrepit. The room was clean and spacious, which is the bigger deal in my opinion. They provide to your Dove body care products in the bathroom. The linens were not soiled or stained and the bed was comfortable. All and all, it was a good, affordable stay.

In attempting to cancel and refund my reservation, both Savanah and Monique have greatly failed their guests. Quoting company policy, they continued to repeat and reiterate the rules written in front of them....NO room for common sense and compassion in helping to refund my $542 for a hotel room I never saw.... All I needed them to do was "approve over the phone" the cancelation/refund with the third party. They simply would not extend themselves. Book Elsewhere!
