I went to the Suds and Surf Laundromat in Reston (Colt Neck Rd) early Saturday morning, 27 April. Daisy was the attendant. What a super star. I had forgotten my glasses and was unable to make out the instructions on the machines. Daisy could tell I was struggling. Machine wouldn't open, it was locked somehow. It took my $6 and then started running on its own without my laundry in it. I couldn't stop it or reset it in order to get my laundry in it. Front desk attendant spoke broken English and told me NO REFUND, we can't help you. I'd avoid this particular laundromat. read more

They recently removed all the old machines and put in brand new machines washers and dryers. The old system you would buy a card and put money on the card do use on the machines. Since they've switched to new machines they've taken out the machine to buy the cards so you can't tell what your balances on your card. I had a balance on my card I left the information so they could get in touch with me and refund my money. They refunded $10 of a $30 card balance. They haven't returned my call there's no other phone number to reach them and you're basically out of luck. Just a poor way of doing business. They could've left the machine to at least find out what was left on our cards. They remove that machine to. read more

My washing machine broke and it was taking WEEKS to get it repaired. I brought my laundry here and paid for them to wash, dry and fold. They were AWESOME!!! They fold your items with care. When I read the comments about the employees being rude & unfriendly I dismissed it.. After all, I'm kind & lighthearted... And I know how to help myself around a laundromat after a decade + of living in NYC. I went to purchase a new card- and the machine jams! My card is stuck in the machine :( I kindly ask the attendant for help.. And she goes off on me in Spanish, flips out thinking I jammed the machine by putting my existing card in the wrong slot and calls her boss.... Telling her that it was my fault! WTF! I understand enough Spanish to know what the hell you are saying! I had to spend another $1 on a new card on the next machine over... And just hurried and completed my laundry as fast as possible, ignoring the mean attendant. So believe the reviews... This place is whack and the employees are horrible! You might be well schooled in laundromats.. But you never know when cards will be jammed or shizz will go down, and you might be forced to ask for assistance. read more

Our dryer quit last night and I was a little desperate to get our clothes machine dried. Besides the bad information in the GPS, everything else in my experience was great. The laundromat was on the opposite side of the road from the street address, logically placed in a well lit and active shopping center near Giant foods and the Hunter Woods Rec center. It was late but the attendant was very helpful. There are a lot of machines and business was brisk for 10:30 PM on a week night. Closing time was 11:30 PM instead of the midnight time listed on the Yelp page. read more

Convenient location, not to busy, nice people... But! The rinse cycle does not work!!!!! The washing machines are preset with a very low water flow. The rinse cycle just can't get rid of the sudds!!! The wash and fold service at this place is awesome! For just a few bucks more than If I dropped off my shirts and pants for work for pressing at a dry cleaner, I can have everything I own washed and neatly folded in a day. It saved me so much time, the cost is negligible and I am not late to work standing at the dyer looking for something to wear. My clothes are not pressed, but for a patterned business casual shirt they are totally fine. For a white shirt with a tie, I would still have that properly pressed, but there are only so many ways you can trade money for more time to do what you enjoy in life...this is a good one, compared to my ez pass bill it's next to nothing! read more

I haven't been to a laundry mat in years, but my washer broke. Neighbor recommended this place as clean (and new)...it does not disappoint! I walked in at about 9am to find only 4 other ladies, tons and tons of open machines. Easy enough to load my stuff in, use my credit card to load one of their cards, and wash away! Being the newbie, I of course went straight for the most expensive (biggest) machine, $8?) and two others that were $6.75 ea) looks like plenty smaller are 4.75 and less, price depends on how big the washer is. I haven't dried yet, but they all look like they're huge and all are .50 for a load. As I'm sitting here employee is sweeping, windexing washer doors, and was helpful when I needed direction about loading the card. Super clean place, clean bathroom in back... Next to a Safeway etc. Sure Ill be back, for comforters and big blankets etc. read more

The girl on Wednesday on the week of the 10th which is Sunday, July 13, 2021 I was told to leave with only 4 minutes drying time so my clothes would be moist at 11 departure 11.04PM. I'm pist. When I took my item out of the washing machine it was still very wet. Person working there said it was because it was a heavy item. Yet when I wash it at home in my own washing machine it comes out fine. So I put it in the dryer on medium and it's been in there for an hour end it still wet. Someone told me that the owner messes with the setting so that your clothes come out wetter and you have to dry longer. And and the dryers are set very low. I don't know if this is true or not but I certainly know something is not right. I had The dryer on medium and when I opened it it was barely warm. So I put it on high and it was as if I had it on low. I switch dryers and had the same issue. I would caution using this place. read more

They are terrible business...the machine say you can use card but becareful it will charge you a service fee and decline your wash. They do not reimburse your money. The associates tell you they dony speak English, so they dont have to address your problem. They are crocks and scammers never wash your clothes there. read more

Went here recently to launder some large quilts and had significant issues. The card dispenser ate $20 - dispensed no card. The washer malfunctioned and the staff couldn't bridge the language barrier to lend any assistance whatsoever. There is never a manager on duty, even though you request assistance from one. On the plus side, this laundromat is very clean, the machines are new, and it has a nice bathroom (with a sign in Spanish asking customers not to throw used paper in the bin, which helps keep it smelling fresh). On the downside, it's pretty expensive. There are no top-loaders, and the cheapest 20-pound front-loaders are $2.75. 30-pounders are $3.75, 40-pounders are $4.75, 60-pounders are $6.75, and there are a couple of $8.50 machines. Large dryers are 50¢ per six (I think) minutes, while smaller dryers are 25¢ per six minutes. Annoyingly, the ONLY way you can pay for any of the machines is to buy an electronic card for $1.00, and then put money on that card via credit card or bills. Coins are not accepted in either the machines or the card-vending machine. This may be convenient if you're a repeat customer, and is really convenient for the store operators who don't have to empty machines of coins or monitor their take, but is just stupid for casual users. read more

This place is great! Very clean location and friendly staff. I dropped off two down comforters (one king and one queen) today for the full service option and had them back with in three hours all clean and fluffy. I brought my own soap and fabric softener which they happily used but not necessary. This place has great hours. They have full service or self service options. I highly suggest this place for regular laundry or especially if you want to clean some larger items that won't fit in smaller washer/dryers such as large blankets or comforters. read more

Don't try to.call them at 10:30...you will not reach anyone that can assist you. They turn off there OPEN sign at 1030 if not earlier. Not the place to go if are hoping u can wash a short in 20 min- a good 40 min before they close doors for the night. Ugh! read more

Unless you speak Spanish, do not go. I had two large items I wanted them to wash, not dry. I tried to explain to the attendant just to wash and not dry and she kept asking "full service?" Finally she had me write it down. When I returned, my items were up front next to the counter. I pointed them out to a second attendant, she ignored me and went to look in the area where drop-off items are held. I tried to call her back, again pointing to my items; she looked at me and continued to the other rack. Twice I went over to her, telling her and pointing to items. I came back THE NEXT DAY (!) in the morning and was told "give us one more hour." They had just started my laundry. They they kept apologizing, they did not refund any -- much less all -- of my money and just kept saying it was a little mistake. I found the place clean and easy to use. Machines worked well. I washed my comforter which cleaned up wel, and it was a lot cheaper than taking it to the dry cleaner. The staff was helpful. Buying a card was more convenient than lugging a lot of quarters around. Overall I was very pleased and will return. read more
