I never expect perfection in a drive-through car wash. I have to say that usually, this place does a good job getting most of the bug carcasses off my hood and grill. I like the ultimate level car wash which comes with an air freshener of your choice, but the lowest level wash still does a good job. If I could improve one aspect of the wash--it would definitely be the dryers. It doesn't seem like they have enough "umph." My car is often left with quite a few droplets all over the vehicle, including windows and mirrors, requiring me to dry them manually afterwards. My husband and I go in and we encounter great experiences usually, when going in on Thursday seemed there could have been some help needed by management for there team . We always go in and see happy workers . As the last few times we've been encounter only by supervisors for an issues or concerning questions and manger or assistant manger is busy or no where to be found . These night crew workers work so hard. Manger always seems no where to be found or busy . Wonder how these workers get a break since they are working the whole store with little help . UPDATE: So the owner made a reply below, however when I looked at the website on my mobile phone the only thing it showed me was the picture that I have attached. It did not state anywhere else below the picture on the website that automatic renewal required a two month minimum. So either their website was down or they changed it after I posted my review. I'm giving this a two star rating because they don't follow the same policy that is on the website. The website specifically states that there are no long-term contracts and cancel anytime before the beginning of the next month without any fees but when I said I wanted to try the monthly epic car wash and be signed up for the recharge plan where they automatically charge your card every month I was told that I had to do a minimum of two months and that if I only did monthly out of pocket instead of an automatic recharge it was gonna be $25. Writing a review of a substandard business isn't difficult. What's difficult, is writing a review that includes everything wrong with a business that's no longer customer oriented... If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have been frequenting this Herndon Avenue car wash since the day after it opened. Like many, its not that great, but its a car wash so you can't really expect much except that your car should be cleaner than it was before you got there. That said, after my experience last week, I will NEVER go back to this place. EVER. What I experienced was completely unacceptable. The car washing dude did the usual half baked job squirting the sudsy stuff on my grill and windshield and off I went. In the middle of the wash, the overhead roller brushes were not working. The result was a vehicle that was as dirty on the hood, glass and top as it was before I entered the wash. I parked my truck and went to the attendant to ask why they weren't working. He told me my was my truck was too tall for the brushes and he chose to shut them off. I told him I had NEVER had that happen before. When I found out it was his choice to turn them off, I told him I didn't appreciate him doing that and he should have come to me to ask me about it, rather than making an arbitrary decision... I went to seek a refund the gal at the pay station, who told me they cannot offer a refund. I was told they don't offer a coupon for a future free wash either. As I was pressed for time, I opted to not drive back through for a second wash. Really though, what would be the point if the dude wasn't gonna let the brushes wash the top of the truck... On my way back to my vehicle, I encountered the on duty supervisor, a kid in his twenties with a bit of an attitude. He and I had a lengthy discussion regarding the experience. He was very defensive, stating at one point (very inappropriately), I could've driven my truck through for another wash in the time took having this discussion. This young guy clearly has no idea what customer service is, nor did he care. I'll skip the specifics, but I doubt he will learn from his encounter with me. Sadly, that seems the way of the youth in today's workforce... The car wash prices here have been steadily increasing and the quality of the service has been steadily decreasing. Customer service ranks very low at this place, illustrated by EACH OF THE THREE employees I encountered during my visit. This $13 car wash was a complete waste of money, not to mention my time. Bad time at this surf thru. The lady in front of me handed the two guys five dollars. By the looks of it she had asked them to wash around the whole car. The workers the stopped the car wash as she gets her car attend to with more care. Meanwhile the cars are stopped in the car wash getting half a cleaning job due to the car wash starting and stopping. Meanwhile the line behind me is stacking up with cars. Now I know why this surf thru takes longer to get through than the one on First and nees. Hopefully a manager will step in soon and avoid tipping. Overall this is a good car wash. I do a lot of driving so my vehicle needs to be washed once a week to keep it looking nice. I use the 1 year unlimited and use the hell out of it. 1 Star because girl from Home office Never returns calls. Left 3 messages. I purchased the monthly shared plan which is the Ultimate wash. First 3 times only got the Epic. Finally I complained & first answer was come thru again (would have had to wait in loooong line so they did not swipe my card again) plus we had already hand dried our car. Then cashier says, that happens a lot if you have a truck or were busy! What kind of answer is that? I get 5 washes a month on plan & so far the 3 were lower washes than what we paid for. They are always busy. 2 times I brought my Nissan Murano 1 time Dodge Ram. If these cars were going to be a problem they should have told us. Then the girl said since we did not get our wheels cleaned she would send someone to hand clean them. This young man pipes up & says I'll be right out to do that for you. Well you guessed it. NO ONE SHOWED UP! Waited 10 minutes and left very unhappy. I guess they are so busy they don't care they are ripping people off. UPDATE Feb & March, only went Once in Feb once ever in March so far, both times arm does not do up and I got Epic but I Paid for Upgraded Ultimate!!! Not happy at all about their customer service this morning. Went through the wash once, and the hood and ceiling of my truck was not washed due to equipment issues, so they said i could run it again and they would power wash it. They sprayed the side and not the hood/top so went through again and Same results not washed. So now I go into the office to ask them if I could get a raincheck or a gift check to return later as I am on my way to work. Kid said no we dont do that I all already have went through twice. I advised yes I have and the results are the same my car is not washed. I asked for a refund and he said no.... after a few minutes of obviously dealing with someone or a company that has no desire to satisfy their customers i requested to have the hood/top sprayed by him so that i can have an actual full car wash not a 60% of my car washed. So after the 3rd try i was able to get the hood /top cleaned but had now waited 30 minutes arguing and going through the was I was not able to vacuum my truck as that would now make me late for work. The kid working there needs to take a lesson or two on customer service, not arguing, and try and be accommodating. You have lost a customer at this point and believe me I will tell others about this experience. I was not looking for a free wash I just simply wanted what the company is supposed to do - wash my car. I have over $100 in wash cards. Now I'm sorry I bought so many. The music was SO loud it was quite unpleasant. If you tried to talk to your friend/partner you couldn't be heard. Just went thru the car wash on Herndon. Had a $5 off coupon but the self pay scanner wouldn't read it and the code input came back as invalid. So paid full price to keep the line moving-where else can u go once you are in line. Parked after my wash and walked up to the cashier with coupon and receipt to be told that the scanner in self pay doesn't read the coupon for some reason and there is nothing they can do. Suggested I try again next time or gift the coupon to someone else since I am now holding two coupons to be used within this week. Streaks of dirt still on the car even with most expensive wash. Do not use surf thru car wash!!! I was a member for three years and it works okay. I tried to get my wife's car washed before we went out of town. It was a busy day which resulted in me getting into a fender bender. Myself and the other involved vehicle pulled to the side a notified staff, but the staff told me that it was our fault even though you could not exit the car wash because someone had stopped in the exit ramp. The car wash repeatedly threw me into the car in front of me. The other vehicle honked their horn but nobody came. Upset, we canceled our membership only to find out we were getting charged for months after. This company is shady, dishonest, and cares about one thing and it's not about a clean car! read more

This location has taken a severe nose dive. The owners choose to neglect this location and are clearly only focused on standing up their new locations. This in my opinion used to be their flagship location, and now it is the worst by far. Equipment continues to break, and remain broken, the other day I went through and the wash actually had zero soap, that's right, zero soap. You have better odds playing roulette as compared to if the tire shine feature will work or not when going through. On-site staff, while nice, have no answers and make it clear that corporate mgmt is the issue. Additionally, when you call their corporate customer service office, the customer service manager never answers, and never calls back. I have attempted calling for over a week. Her car was filthy dirty.While I was in the vacuum Bay a young man approached me and ask if he could clean my floor mats I said sure. A few minutes later this same young man (Jordan) ask me if he could clean my tires and rim.I was elated because I was on a time schedule to finish the wash. Does the job for my car at a good price, and vacuums work perfectly -- not too strong that you pick up your carpets instead of vacuum them, and not too weak. They are inconsistent with the dashboard wipe and air freshener though-- I think you have to actually go to the line with the cashier to get one, which is kind of a bummer cause it's usually the longest line. read more

I have a bad back and I was having a hard time vacuuming my car out and Joshua came over and asked me if I needed some help. He vacuumed my entire car out for me! Such a sweet kid and very polite! I took my wife's car for a wash yesterday. As I was drying it afterwards I noticed there was still bug debris on the bumper and side mirrors. But worst of all bird droppings on hood. After talkin to manager he said I could have it rewashed. That is when I realized they no longer use the brushes that spin perpindicular with your car. They said due to damaged racks they have never used them on vehicles with racks. Been going here for 5 years and had always had it used and had a clean car. But not these days. They finally clean poop off hood but ig ored the bug debris left after two washes. If you like your car dirty, poor customer service. I used to love this place, but lately, not only have I had to go through the wash twice during each visit to get really clean, but I've also found numerous scratches on my brand NEW car. It's black, and there are no words to describe that fear and anger you feel when you see scratches on the paint, and since there is no outlet other than this to voice my frustrations, I must offer my two cents to anyone looking for a fast wash. ALSO, does it even count as a "wash" when parts of the car are still DRY and CAKED with DIRT!? And what happened to RICARDO?! He used to manage this place like a rock star. It's a cute set up- there is a "toll booth" where you pay for your car wash of choice with the big arm that goes down and up after u pay. If you decide to get a monthly plan, you can use the other "lanes" to just go ahead, kinda like Fast Trak or EZ-Pass (but you don't get that windshield reader). It's a step up from coin operated car washes at gas stations because two dudes try to scrub as much as they can before the car wash actually begins. For about five bucks, you go through the car wash and for like 3 more bucks you get the tricolor treatment to help protect the paint. At the end, it is DIY vacuuming, which is really convenient because there are tons of vacuum heads all set up. This car wash didn't get rid of all the smut that the grill accumulated during long car rides, but I think I will ask the 2 dudes to focus on the grill next time. I like it here because it's fast, cheap, and my car didn't get scratches like it did in the previous car wash. read more

Workers didn't fold my mirrors in and hardly scrubbed any bugs off the grill/bumper. Air dryers inconsistent with drying off my truck. I had to manually dry off every window and mirrors. Have four cars in the family and I am religious about keeping them clean. I like the do it yourself car wash and at first was happy when this one opened close to GB3 so very convenient. Unfortunately had too many horrible experiences with paying for the ultimate car wash and end up getting the basic. On one occasion I had to circle around four times and still did not get the right wash. I spoke to one of the attendants and they said that they had been having problems for weeks with the system. Just tells me that management does not care if they are ripping off their customers. I wonder how many customers are unaware they were even ripped off. I've had 2 of the highest memberships here for both of our cars for over 2 yrs. I went through one day after grocery shopping and putting my groceries in the trunk. Drove straight over (across the street) and had my wash. When I got home and opened the trunk my chrome trunk piece was missing. Called right over and they said it wasn't there. I searched along the street between there and home and nothing. Drove back over and told me they didn't think it was on my car when I went through. I cancelled both memberships. I've never had a bad experience at this location. If you're like me and drive back and forth on the 99 everyday, getting a $7 car wash is a good deal. It gets the dust and bugs off my car which is all I really need! They're quick and I like that there's an area to vacuum out my car after, really makes me feel like I have a brand new car (even though like I said I drive on the 99 to and from Visalia everyday). Obviously besides when it's crowded, they've always been quick. You know in fact, even when they're busy they're quick too...that's the goal.
