The bad reviews can be misleading--they come unassembled and are built on-site, so poor assembly can make even high-quality cabinets seem cheap. I've built dozens of kitchens using various brands and found that most cabinets from China are similar in quality, though their assembly instructions are often terrible. Personally, I've found J&K cabinets to be better overall than their competitors, and they remain my go-to choice. For example, a customer of mine spent $8,500 on cabinets from Lowe's (on sale), while I purchased the same cabinets from J&K for $2,300.

I have been kicking myself for not sending them back and getting a refund. My contractor was an ahole as well as he kept yelling at me as he had no time to wait on me buying new cabinets. I should have fired him as well but when you're gas lit and being verbally abused you don't realize anything until after the fact. I attached my pictures in hope no one gets surprised by the poorly made cabinets like I did. Go to Home Depot and buy a name brand. I had American Woodmark cabinets that lasted 22 yrs and I should have went that Rte. Instesd I used a small cabinet company thinking they wouldn't do me wrong and they did throughout my whole process. It's been a nightmare. These cabinets after 2 weeks are already cracking and I don't see them lasting no more then 2 yrs. So depressing. Please do research before buying these cheap cabinets. They are put together with staples, come in make shift boxes (should have been a red flag) and I believe I was originally sent rejects from the warehouse. The cabinet company was also mad I wanted these damaged ones replaced, what the heck??? Like I said, they must get a good commission or kickback from this cabinet company. DO NOT BUY!!

Unfortunately, "0" stars is not an option…read more.. Came here, per the recommendation of our contractor, because of their selection available. Called the day prior to understand their process and if an appointment is needed, which was confirmed is not. We went to specifically select tile, but was open to view counter material in stock and if we liked something else from what we already picked somewhere else. Walking in, the woman at the front desk "greeting" you, doesn't look up or at you when speaking, rambles off where to find which kind of tile, while continue working on whatever engaged her more than potential customers. We came prepared with cabinet samples and ideas and started browsing around for nearly 15 minutes. Not once, did anyone come by to ask if we need help finding anything or if we have questions. I went to the front desk to inquire about a tile I liked on their website to see if they have it in-store to view. Again, the front desk representative, continued working on whatever was more important, without looking at me, and "explained" where I could find it. When I repeated the location back to her, she spoke over her shoulder without making eye contact, and said "It's somewhere between the 3rd and 4th rack; just look, you'll see it." We decided in that moment, that we'd prefer to NOT buy tile here. To the Management - the people you employ, represent you and your company. Either, training is lacking, or your employees do not value your customers in the same way you do. To the Front Desk employee - when you have a job, that is customer-facing, you need to be engaging and actually look them in the eye when speaking to them. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, you are in the wrong position, and need to apply for something that's at a desk, where you only interact with a computer.

They completed the job in approximately 5 1/2 hours including cleanup. Their craftsmanship was superb, and yes, we are very pleased with our new countertops. Not so our communication with Artistic's sales rep. She was outwardly friendly and polite, but it typically took her several days to respond to messages. Her confusion about some of our questions made us wonder whether she understood much about fabrication and installation. Also, we found her guidance to be misleading. She convinced us to replace our old overmount porcelain sink with a new stainless steel undermount sink. Which might have been okay, except my Missus made a point of saying that she wanted enough space between the sink and backsplash to accommodate two accessory trays. Not only did we end up with a smaller sink but also less counter space than before! In retrospect, a rectangular sink (though more costly) would have been a better choice than what was installed. Since we were past the point of no return, we asked if they would at least move the soap dispenser to provide more usable space. To make a long story short, nearly 4 months following our initial visit to their showroom, a worker finally came out to make the adjustment. He assured us he would return the next week to complete the job by filling in the original hole with a like material. We never heard from him again and there has been no response to our text messages.

This was the second time I used Artistic Granite…read more First time I had a double sink quartz counter installed in Master Bath. The second job was my kitchen countertops with quartz. David the salesman was wonderful and helpful picking out the quartz. We had a few bumps in the road, but went relatively smoothly. Bathroom countertop went smooth- just a mess afterward, which is to be expected. Installation of countertops did have many problems. My new dishwasher was bent on the bottom cover from installers reinstalling it. I was able to straighten the metal cover enough to reinstall myself. My walls were damaged from removal of the ceramic tiles. I tried to repair myself, but they still look awful. I will have to rehire my painters back to fix drywall. A huge mess to clean up again- but that is to be expected considering removing ceramic counters and installing quartz countertops. However, I knew from the contract stated if there was any damage of anything, it would be my problem. I never mentioned it when I reached out to the owners. I did reach out to the owners when I saw such a discrepancy in the thickness of my countertops, loss of .5cm of quartz thickness-- I immediately emailed the owners asking why I had lost so much thickness. Yes, I went with an email and only wanted a email response back. I did not want to speak on the phone - more clarification by email. However, apparently asking the owners about the loss of .5cm in thickness of my quartz caused an aggressive response back from the owners- to me- I felt. So why were the countertop not 3cm as purchased, but were 2.5cm in thickness of quartz when installed--the owners said this is in the contract you signed. You take a loss of quartz with fabrication and rounded edges. Why not tell the consumer upfront verses putting it in the contract it would be 2.5cm? I had no idea - I didn't ask for rounded edges, wouldn't that be standard practice? Who would want sharp edges??? This is their expertise not mine. So if the consumer purchases 3cm of thickness of quartz, the contract states you will lose some thickness of the quartz during fabrication & rounded edges per the contract. However, "some" is such a generalized term- could literally mean any amount. Now .5cm doesn't sound like a lot but if you only start with 3cm - that becomes a whole lot. My counters are only 2.5 cm thick! Not 3cm thick as originally thought. As a consumer I had thought I was getting 3cm total. I had even questioned the person who measured it before installation how thick my counters would be. He said I had tile countertops that were 1.75" thick now. He had told me I would be going down to 3cm or 1.25". So yes I would be losing a 1/2 inch in thickness once quartz were installed. But in reality I am down to 1" thick countertops- down from .75" verses .50". Why wouldn't he tell me I would lose 2.5cm??? I then proceed to measure my Master bathroom countertop. Sure enough, I am only at 2.5cm not 3cm. But a bathroom counter you don't see the thickness or even think about it. In a kitchen I have higher countertops and it's very noticeable!! I should have measured my Master Bath countertop before I purchased my countertops. So the standard of practice is: if you purchase 3cm countertops you will lose .5cm--why not say that in the contract?? Because "their contract protects them from EVERYTHING". Be very careful with signing the contract with Artistic Granite. If they damage anything, your floors, appliances, cabinets, walls, etc.--it's your problem- I was hesitant about that too, but the men did not damage anything in my master bath. If you ask the owners anything by a written email--the owners tell me to go to Arbitration with them if I have a problem. Very combative reply. This has left a total sour taste in my mouth, the way I was treated by email- after I had questioned why my countertops were not 3cm thick and only 2.5cm. I felt the owners responded back to me very aggressively and rudely. I followed with my response and told them exactly how I felt. Then once again, they used the same aggressive tactics and they blamed me!! I was offered at the end a $250 good faith gesture- which I didn't respond back to them- DONE. I feel a company should treat a consumer way better - I felt such a negative, aggressive response--why so aggressive toward me?? David, the person who measured, the team who installed were very nice and respective toward me during the whole process. I felt the owners treated me very aggressively, when I had emailed why my countertops were not 3cm thick as I had ordered, verses 2.5cm? I would have tried to get them 3cm before installation- if I had known I would lose .5 cm. I had paid thousands of dollars for these countertops and should have been told upfront verbally, I would be losing .5cm on my kitchen countertops. Their contract states variations- broad term. I felt deceived. Really comprehend all the terms and really understand their contract.

During installation they broke a towel ring in my bathroom and wouldn't admit to doing so nor did anything about it. If the issues stopped there, it wouldn't have been ok but they didn't. I discovered after the first use that there was a leak coming through my ceiling below the new shower into my master closet. Upon sending out their plumber he discovered the drain wasn't properly installed, causing the leak. I then discovered the bezel around the faucet handle could be spun as it wasn't tightened down and the caulking around the outside of the new unit was horrible. They sent our a worker to address the bezel, caulking and to patch my closet ceiling. The bezel and caulking were addressed fine but the next morning the completed ceiling patch had cracked and started to peal. It looked worse than when they started. They again sent a worker out to address the patching who completed the work but didn't sand any of the edges, showing exactly were the join compound was applied - horrible. So he reapplied another coat of joint compound but it was the end of the day on Friday and needed to let it dry. Over the weekend I finished the job myself so I could put everything back into my walk-in master closet. Although the installation was riddled with errors and highly frustrating, the job was eventually finished (with help from myself) and I do have a working shower. I spoke with the GM, Sam, at length who apologized and owned the mistakes and disappointing installation experience. In the end, they did make everything right.

We liked what we heard and the vision they gave. Jeff P was our project manager and Dove was our decorator. We love our kitchen and they were great to work with. In fact, we loved the kitchen so much that we hired them to gut our family room and redo that the following year. PERFECTION! Chris Hilgers was our Project Manager (great guy) and Dove was back with us on this project. So, now that those 2 rooms were new and amazing, the flooring in the living/dining room needed to be the same and the carpet on the stairs and upstairs landing needed to be replaced to match. So, a year later we started that project and we were fortunate to work with Tammy and Sean. Tammy got everything ordered and Sean (so personable) implemented everything to again-PERFECTION! The one thing that stands out with this place are the workers. Every single person we dealt with was great. From the kitchen remodel-Jeff P, Dove, Will, Chris G, Tommy etc, to the family room- Chris H, Dove, Tommy, Will, Chris G and then to our Living/Dining/Stairs-Sean, and Tammy they worked hard to please us. John, the owner, got us started on each project, which was a nice touch. I hope I didn't forget anyone! So, if you are thinking of remodeling, OHI should be on your list of consideration. You won't be disappointed. Thank you.
