PB stoke, WB bowl with Nutella & strawberry, Rasta Bowl
    Sabrina C.

I used to come here all the time. I love the little building, but parking is absolutely horrendous. They very limited parking, so you have to pay for parking right by the place. Price (1/5): For the quantity and quality of food given (decreasing more and more every time I go), this is not worth it. It's a cute place, but not worth the now $11.50 for a smoothie bowl that they barely fill. It used to be about $9, then it went up to $10 (that's when the quality and quantity started decreasing), now it's at $11.50 for half a container of smoothie and toppings. Quality (2/5): Over the past year, the quality of the smoothies have declined drastically. They get waterier and waterier with less and less smoothie and toppings. Now, it just tastes like blended ice. They used to fill the entire cup with smoothie and the topping would overflow the brim. Now, there's empty space at the top... (see pictures). Ambiance (5/5): This place is so small and adorable! Great vibe. Service (3/5): The staff changes out every time I go. They don't ever seem to know what's going on or what's in the smoothies, so they always have to reference a cheat sheet. It's fine if they do that, but they misread it all the time and have to remake smoothies for so many people. 2 of the smoothies in the picture had to be remade. TLDR: Ok if you want an overpriced smoothie with mainly ice. Cute place though.

Bikini Bowl, no honey (organic pitaya blended w/ banana, strawberries, kiwi, coconut water - topped w/ granola, coconut, banana)

This was so refreshing after a morning at the beach followed by a long walk in the mid-day sun. We had the WB Bowl and Bikini Bowl (no honey). This place has a ton of options for vegans, those on a gluten free diet, and anybody with a soy allergy or intolerance. There are lots of peanut, almond, and coconut ingredients, though - and there is a sign on the door saying they use peanut and nut ingredients. I thought that was a great warning for anybody with nut allergies.

Surfberry is this little gem on Causeway Dr., just after passing over the bridge into Wrightsville Beach. I was hungry, but not starving, and wanted to enjoy something fresh and clean that would set well on my stomach this afternoon. FOOD: The Mermaid Pitaya Bowl with added Coconut and Mangoes. The Mermaid bowl included a chilled Pitaya puree buried under a heap of fresh fruit. Mangoes, strawberries, coconut and bananas all artistically situated on the top. Add that drizzled honey to the mix and you have a tropical explosion in your mouth. The natural juices of each fruit, creates a symphony inside the small pond of dragonfruit. So amazingly clean and good!! SCORE: 5 STARS!! SERVICE: Since this was my first time visiting, I kept an open mind with no certain expectations. After placing my order at the juice bar, it took approximately 10 minutes to receive my bowl. $12 & 10 minutes is an acceptable time & value if you are served something incredible. Surf Berry came through. The service was very good and each staff member was friendly and accomodating. The young barista who initially took my order was a newer-hire and immediately sought advice from another teammate about what to recommend, once I asked for their suggestion. The other young lady assisted swiftly and was able to find a solution that defined teamwork. 5 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: These flavors are wild all together, giving you that taste of a tropical paradise. Nothing canned, everything prepared fresh by the baristas just behind the juice bar and delivered up as if it's being presented at the Cameron Art Museum. Whether you're visiting from out of town or a local, as I am...be sure to treat yourself to one of SurfBerry's beach concoctions. 5 STARS!!

    PB Stoke add spinach
    Christa R.

Great options no matter what you are looking for and at a great price. The PB stoke is Devine - definitely a great but added spinach for #health. The surf berry smoothie is a safe classic. You can really change anything up to exactly what you are looking for! The place was clean and everyone had a mask on.

The Bowls - delicious and massive! It's definitely a dessert/treat (so much sugar), so please don't mistake it as a health food. If you're intent is to treat 'yo self then this is the way to do it. The bowls are a little pricy, BUT it's 2x the size of what you'd get at clean juice and tastes easily 2x better (for only a fraction more). It's one of my favorite rewards after a couple laps ran around The Loop. The staff are hit or miss. I'd say about 75% of the time they're confused and/or not overtly friendly, but nothing majorly deterring. Tip: Get rid of all the plastic and switch to a more environmentally friendly option. Compostable service-ware would make sense, especially being this close to the beach. Also, the interior could use even a hint of effort. Not an enjoyable space, small changes would make it more inviting!

    $9 plus change. Daylight robbery.

A tip for you. A monosyllabic muttering kid handing you back small change is not the way to tell a customer they just spent almost $10 on a mediocre 16oz watermelon water drink. A price label laid behind other bottles seems a little deceptive. I'm not sure what makes it $10 as it doesn't even have booze in it!

extremely rude employee. first time here and last time they advertise a nice full picture but this is what it looked like when we got it before we ate any. You can see the difference in the two as well as what they advertise. It was $17.92 for just one of them.

    Nutty Bowl

There are a few açaí bowl places in Wilmington but this spot is definitely the best. I recommend the nutty bowl which is a mix of the classic açaí bowl but with peanut butter. The location is very close to the beach so it's a great place to snag a snack on the way to Wrightsville!

Great spot for smoothies and Açai bowls! The staff there was very sweet! Just an all around great experience for us ! Thanks so much !

Do it yourself yogurt bowl. Tart, strawberry, and cookies and cream with fresh strawberries and toffee!

A great stop on your way out of wrightsville beach. It's located right next to a few restaurants so it's a great dessert option after having lunch or dinner. It also seems like a great breakfast stop before getting on to the beach since they have an extensive menu of acai bowls and smoothies. I just tried the frozen yogurt. It's like your typical do it yourself frozen yogurt place. I tried the tart, strawberry, and cookies and cream and all were very refreshing. The toppings were plentiful and the fruit options were really fresh. I'd recommend the strawberries with the strawberry yogurt. A much needed stop after an extremely hot day at the beach! And they have parking right in front which is a huge plus!

After a day at the beach this place hits the spot! The bowls are definitely on the pricier end (I believe about $9), but it was well worth it! I got the nutty bowl which was delicious, definitely more of a dessert bowl as it had a good amount of chocolate chips in it. I was shocked by how HUGE the bowl was when I received it! The bowl was thick and tasty so it pretty much served as my dinner for the day. Note: most parking around the area you have to pay for.

    WB Bowl w/ chocolate chips

I have tried Acai bowls from every chain imaginable, and Surfberry continues to outshine them all. Sure, the bowls are a bit pricey, but you won't find any (this size) under $10 nowadays. I go to UNCW, and Surfberry has become a monthly ritual between me and my roommate, or basically anytime we find ourselves down at Wrightsville. I love the WB bowl (pictured, but I add chocolate chips on top), and my roommate loves the nutty bowl. I've also tried the Sunset smoothie and love that too!

Their Oreo milkshake is DELICIOUS. Chic-fil-a has nothing on their Oreo milkshake. So so good. Workers were very nice and attentive as well.

We were pleasantly surprised to see so many positive reviews on YELP so we headed over. What's so good?? The ingredients really speak for the place. Everything is super fresh and you can taste the fact it is made to order. I got the classic "Pure Vida Açaí Bowl" with added banana for $0.75. The Açaí base was, again, very fresh and well blended without being a total purée. I loved the granola the most because it wasn't mushy the entire time: crunchy throughout is the way to go. The honey on top of the fruit (blueberries and strawberries and banana) was super organic and not too sweet. Great taste all around. We miss South Block in DC but Playa will be our go-to here in Wilmington!!!

According to my Doordash I am an A1+ customer of this franchise restaurant…read more Typically, with businesses who care about customer retention, A1+ customers are treated well. If there's an issue it gets solved quickly. The Mayfair location of Playa Bowls does not care about customer retention. They would prefer to hire young and good looking women who are not the friendliest or the quickest problem solvers. I have ordered Doordash Playa 16 times in the last 20 days. Today was the first time I ever went in that store. Because I do not have my Doordash full ingredients memorized, I tried pulling up Doordash in the store. For whatever reason, it was not working. The pretty young girl behind the register could not care less and in fact seemed rather irritated. The other pretty young girl making my food did not understand what I was trying to tell them when I figured out that Doordash had marked their business as being closed. I made them aware of this but they didn't care. They suffered from an excruciating lack of curiosity and customer retention skills because I will not be spending any more money at the store. I'm gonna make my Doordash person go all the way over to the other one so they get the money. I promise you, when I stop ordering from your store you're gonna notice. Whoever manages or owns this location needs to consider hiring people based on their skills and experience with customer service. I know it's a beach town, but there are a lot of really talented young people out here. And all of them would be better than the pretty ladies you like to look at. That's why they got hired. ETA: Please do not let the responsive "manager" fool you. The service at that location is absolutely terrible. There were three young women working and probably 15 to 20 people in the store. The rudest woman at the register was on her phone most of the time I was in there. Don't go to this location. It sucks. It's slow and they always mess something up, I just left that out because I didn't want to be too harsh but since the manager has decided to respond, they forget a lot. When I DoorDash from this location, I usually have to remind them to include the smoothie because they have forgotten it five times. Five times on the DoorDash order of two items. I should be able to get my order under 10 minutes. That's not possible at this location, even if they aren't busy. Because the people who work there do not care about their jobs and it is very obvious as soon as you go into the store. Let's see what the manager responds to now. I guarantee the owner is male and hires young women under the age of 30 based on how much he likes to look at them, not their skill set. That is a lie that men believe believes themselves.
