I was charged a different amount than when I checked out. When I called the hotel, they told me my reservation showed up through Expedia. I called Expedia and they had no record of the reservation. I found my reservation and called that booking number. They couldn't find it either. When I finally (after 15 phone calls) found someone who could speak to me; they told me there were damages to the room after I left. When I called the hotel back they told me there were no damages to that room, even thought they couldn't find my reservation. I'm not sure who is to blame but I am not happy with the entire situation.

The hotel staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. There was also a gentleman working during breakfast on Sunday morning (I didn't catch his name) who was especially helpful and attentive. He had on a red shirt and long hair. Service like that truly makes a difference. That said, there were a couple of downsides. My oceanfront room had a noticeable wet dog smell, which was disappointing. Also, the $25 per night parking fee feels excessive. I've chosen to stay at this property for quick beach trips over the last 10 years, and unfortunately, the parking situation alone will likely keep me from returning. I also want to note that the hotel is currently under renovations (it is the off-season), so that's something to keep in mind when booking. While I'm not disappointed in the staff at all they were amazing the added costs and room issue were enough to make me reconsider staying here again.

We've stayed in every kind of room they have just about from the studios to the 2 bedroom, balcony and no balcony, bunk room which is a good in-between option. The rooms are always clean. Look it's not the Hilton but this is the beach y'all :). Rates are great for all things considered. I mean you don't have to drive anywhere the entire time...everything is right there: the pier with great fishing, famous karaoke every day, 2 Bands every night, good food, good people, good times and good memories. This is our happy place. Staff: we are thankful for you. We've always enjoyed your kindness from the housekeepers to the pool guy, the front desk and the attentive booking agent. Booked our reservations 3 months ago through booking.com. We had stayed here several years prior…read morehoping to get the same experience. Arrived on a Wednesday (checked in at 4 pm) received a call from Carly at front desk on Thursday stating we would have to move rooms our last night booked because the owners of the unit was arriving Saturday or get a refund and leave Saturday at 10 am. We spent 1 hour and 45 minutes of the time we could be on the beach with our family, packing and moving. We decided that morning to pack up everything not needed and just use the last room (which was now a 1 bathroom and no bedroom just 2 beds when you walk in overlooking the pool) to shower and store our belongs (snacks and clean clothes) until we departed at 5 pm that afternoon bringing our vacation shorter that reserved. To receive fresh linens you had to exchange linens on the second floor from 10 am to 12 pm ONLY ON WEDNESDAY. Since checking in on a Wednesday and 6 people in our part and only 4 towels/wash clothes and face towels in room we were out of luck on fresh towels. Had to do laundry each day for towels that cost and extra $8 per load to wash and dry. No vacuum in room to keep floors clean with no daily room check by staff. When taking out your own trash it had to go to a dumpster located on a busy street. Floors were filithy had to wear socks or shoes the whole time or your feet would be black on the bottom. It is obvious their owners take priority over renters so do not waste your hard earned money on staying at this HOTEL( not a resort). Location may be great but the place is a disaster. BEWARE!
