Jersey was having tooth pain, she is 15 and I was very concerned with putting her under. Dr. Erin took the precaution to check her existing heart murmur with an x-ray, ran blood work and gave me the reassurance to proceed with a cleaning and extracted 3 teeth. I didn't have to run back and forth - they did the exam and then the cleaning right after (which I really appreciated since we came from Gilroy). Forgive me, I forgot her name but the girl at the front desk was also wonderful with updates and so friendly =) I can't tell you how happy I am we did this - Jersey has bounced back to her little happy self. She is eating her greenies (and meals) again with excitement and no pain! I also can truly appreciate the fact it didn't feel like I was going to go broke paying for this. So many vets make you feel like it's about the $ vs. care and love of animals. Dr. Erin is very personable, straight forward and gives that small feel practice that just makes you trust. The entire team is AMAZING!!! if I could give a 20 star rating I totally would. I really really like Dr. Erin Campbell. I love that straight-shooter approach, but there is this tenderness that just makes her so incredibly wonderful. I am a huge fan and so grateful to the Yelp! Reviews because I would have never found them. Let's start off....it all begins with the callback...Shay!!! She was very professional and thorough on the phone. I like that. I LOVE that Michelle goes above and beyond. She is the manager and the poor dear admits that there are days she will work till 8pm and even considered helping my baby boy bully get his post-op sutures removed. I mentioned dissolve and she explained their technique. I couldn't argue. Today my baby boy went in and guess what?! He's neutered!! They treated him with sooooo much respect. I think her name is Brea(??) She is the anesthesiologist and she found a special tickle spot on my guy.. she's a true natural. She is so light- hearted and just natural. I'm so used to the robots of corporate that for someone to be so personable and speak of their own personal experiences was initially interesting to me.... and at the end I understood it all. Its what a real business should be. We should feel like family. We should be excited and happy. We should be able to just relax and feel safe. We should never go to work and feel like every minute is a casket. This group knows their clients. This is the best experience I ever had. I appreciate how they took care of my guy. This is the ONLY vet clinic I trust with my beloved soulmate/baby, Andy, almost 8 year old female Shih-Tzu. I refer everyone to Surgery Center Silicon Valley any chance I get. Doesn't matter if I text at 2am or on a weekend - I consistently get a response usually right away, if not, within a few hours. Heaven gained an angel when we lost the late, great Dr. Bolden (God bless his soul) Despite only knowing him for a year or two, I couldn't help but cry when I learned of his passing. He practiced veterinary medicine for 55+ years and it was very clear that he loved his work. At first I was deeply concerned the clinic was going to go to sh*t, but all my fears were put to rest when I returned with Andy and saw that the incredible women that run this place have really held it together. Dr. Erin Campbell is just as kind, compassionate, reasonable, funny, knowledgable and committed to satisfying the high standard of excellence I was used to with Dr. Bolden. Unlike other vets, this place will NOT rob you blind or make you sell an arm and a leg to get your furry family members the proper medical care they deserve. They will never prey on your vulnerability/desperation and exploit you for money. There is also a pet hotel and groomer on site (the entire facility looks like a converted residential home, and the groomer is in the front half - to get to the vet, you have to go towards the back, through two gates). I personally would never put my Andy in a hotel, but if I had no other choice I would bring her here. And the groomer is fantastic, Andy got a full service grooming today for $85 (not including tip), which really is a steal compared to how much other places cost. I dropped her off at 10am and they took the time to really do a beautiful, thorough job. They called to let me know they were done at 3. Andy is a pain in the @$$ when it comes to haircuts but she looks stunning!! Obviously great care and effort went into what I'm sure was quite the ordeal. I'm so grateful when I searched Yelp that Surgery Center Silicon Valley popped up. We took our miniature schnauzer in to see Dr. Erin Campbell because he had a cyst on his eyelid. During the examination she also found a small lump under his armpit. We saw her on a Monday and he went in for surgery on Friday. The surgery was a success and he recovered well. Dr. Erin Campbell is very experienced and very friendly. Everyone at this vet office from Dr. Campbell, Michelle and the receptionist is helpful, caring, and extremely friendly. I'm so happy to find a vet locally with affordable pricing. They do in-house blood work so that helps keep cost low. I use to drive two hours to a vet in Stockton to save money for vet cost but now I can just take my dogs to Dr. Erin Campbell. I highly recommend this vet office and they would love your support! read more

Dr Bolden was a true saint! The community lost a truly amazing, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and generous man/ veterinarian/ good Samaritan with the passing of this one of a kind animal doctor! In the 30 plus years from my first time meeting Dr Bolden (who cared for all of my dear friend Doug H. Fur babies).. & eventually for mine and my children's pets.. this vet has always put the needs of the pets first.. even before his own pockets! Not a greedy bone in his body! Always smiling and blessing the community of pet owners who couldn't always afford quality care for their pets a safe haven and a caring staff to turn to! He had wonderful assistants and staff.. his better half Karen always going above and beyond as well as a number of assistants who followed his lead in kindness and placing their pet patients needs before the need of collecting a bill! I am a current dog parent of 4, and long time owner and foster of over 20 dogs. Dr. Bolden was wonderful the couple of times we saw him. We are sad that he is gone and know his clients must be devastated. The current vet is Dr. Erin Campbell and we have known her for 12 years. She is practical, caring and doesn't perform unnecessary tests, vaccinations, procedures etc just to make money. I believe Dr Bolden chose her to carry on his way as best as possible. Her prices are the lowest you will find in the Bay Area. I have dealt with many other vet offices and trust her the most, and therefore have followed her through 3 different clinics over the past 12 years. Dr Boldon is one of the most amazing doctors I've had the pleasure of meeting and bringing my cases to. I run a local rescue organization (One Planet Rescue) and I happened to learn about Dr B when I had one of my dogs boarded at the Springdale Kennels for several weeks. Since then, I've brought many difficult cases here. One who required FHO surgery, one who had a huge mass on her tummy that needed to be removed, several other cases and soon he will be performing a bilateral enucleation surgery on one of our dogs in foster care. The business card reads "South San Jose Vet", so to save everyone confusion I believe they just change owners that being said Dr Bolden is so cool and gives more than reasonable rates. When other vets wanted to charge 1000 dollars to neuter my guy. she only charge I think 150 and some other charges that werent even close to 500 This is probably the last good vet in San Jose that wont gouge you with Covid Prices read more

Soòooooooooooo grateful to Dr. B for helping me to spay and neuter some beautiful, awesome German Shepherds who were all set to be euthanized. I was already spending a fortune trying to rescue them, and then come to find out, all the low cost spay and neuter clics in the area were booked solid for months. The cheapest place I could find who would do the surgery was like 2 hrs away and about 800 bucks. Thankfully, a friend of a friend in rescue told me about Dr. B and it was like finding gold. Like they said in Seinfeld... I got a guy!! Please be very nice to this man and his staff. Bring them gifts and flowers and treats. anything to ensure they stay in business Dr. B could easily retire, but those of us in dog rescue pray he never retires. These guys are awesome!!! This clinic does not do a thorough exam on animals. we had a cat in foster and the foster didn't know gender and assumed male. The clinic completely anesthetized the cat before realizing it was a female. They "didn't have time" to do the spay (maybe takes 15 more minutes) and rescheduled to three days later. When the foster went to pick up the cat, they were told that she was pregnant and that the anesthesia on Friday had killed the fetuses. The cat had been in Foster for over 50 days and never exposed to any other intact males which means she was close to full-term. This was extremely upsetting news to the foster and was not explained either delicately or tactfully. All he could think of was this cat carrying around dead fetuses for three days. How did a professional not realize the gender and the fact that this cat was extremely pregnant before giving drugs and anesthesia? Veterinarians should be doing an exam which would include making sure of gender, healthy heart, good body condition, if a male that they have two testicles, or a female check and see if they are pregnant. On top of that weed asked for a rabies vaccination but not FVRCP. Of course we got the opposite and charged for what we didn't need. The cat was in extreme pain after surgery and was given no pain medication's to take home. The cat ended up being seen at medvet which gave the appropriate pain medication for the cat to be comfortable during recovery. read more

I brought in my cat because he wasn't eating and it was recommended to us by a friend. The day before we were previously charged 333 at another 24/7 vet for just a check up and a shot for his dehydration. This place charged me 165 for the 2 medicine, the check up, rabies shot, another shot he didn't have, a vitamin shot and blood test. It's the day after and my cat is so much better and now finally wakes and eats i 1000% recommended this spot for anything your pet needs. read more

First of all the staff is very helpful and friendly.. Everything was clean and didn't seem to have that awful vet smell that most do. I do have to say that Dr. Boldon is such an awesome veterinarian and really loves what he does! He is really good with animals and from what I see he has a way of calming animals down when they are nervous. I definitely give this place 5 stars and would recommend everyone with pets to try this place out! The prices are very reasonable as well :) read more
