Happy 11th Birthday and hopefully several more

Dr. Peet has been treating my little dog for heart disease and pancreatitis. He has great communication skills, is knowledgable and up to date, and listens to pet owners. My dog does not like going to the vet, but seems comfortable with the staff. I trust Dt. Peet, and so does my dog.

We love coming here for our two dogs. They are priced fairly, and Dr. Puneet is excellent! He's thorough, kind, and didn't rush us out of our appointment. We've done a couple of dental cleanings here and while that can be scary with the dogs under anesthesia, I trust our dogs at Alpha.

Recently brought my new puppy and their puppy package is amazing and SUPER affordable! Comes with all the essentials. They even fit me in the day I called!

This review is long overdue. Let me first start by saying, I have trust issues, especially when it comes to other people handling my fur children. I'm sure most pet owners feel this way, especially if you've had bad experiences with veterinarians in the past. I have to honestly say that Dr Peet is the only person that I trust when it comes to the health and well-being of my pets. He's smart, honest, and he doesn't overcharge. You can tell that he's not in this business for the money. He genuinely cares about animals and their owners so you know you're in good hands. Thanks to Dr Peet, I got to spend a long and wonderful 19 years with my cat, Pepper. Prior to finding Alpha Animal Hospital, I had taken Pepper to The Cat Hospital when she was about 14 years old for a routine checkup. I felt like they overcharged me and I was a little skeptical when the blood results came back and nobody called me to review them with me. I had to call their office and I spoke to someone at the front desk who told me over the phone that the blood work came back normal. I had asked for a copy of Pepper's medical records and decided to take her to Alpha Animal Hospital for a second opinion. During my visit with Dr Peet, he looked at Pepper's medical records and told me that she was in the early stages of kidney disease based on her blood panel. He recommended that I change her diet and start feeding her prescription food specifically designed for cats with kidney disease. He also recommended that I start giving her probiotics along with the food to slow the progression of the disease, which would add years to her life. Had I not taken Pepper to see Dr Peet for a second opinion, I don't think she would have lived for an additional 5 years. During the last year of her life when her health started to quickly decline, Dr Peet took really good care of us. Eventually, I had to start thinking about plans for euthanasia, but I wanted to find a pet clinic that offered an at home euthanasia service so that Pepper could pass away peacefully in the comfort of her own home. Dr Peet provided me with some contact information of a clinic that specialized in those services, so I made the final arrangements, but I made them a little too late. Pepper was in a lot of pain and I didn't want to wait for the euthanasia appointment that I scheduled so I rushed Pepper over to see Dr Peet so that he could quickly do the procedure and put an end to her suffering. Thankfully, he was able to squeeze in an appointment for me within a couple of hours and everything went smoothly, aside from the fact that I was an emotional wreck. This was the first time I've ever had to do something like this, and let me tell you, it's not easy. Those final moments will stay with you forever. It took me many months to heal from the pain of losing Pepper. Thankfully, Dr Peet held onto her ashes for me until I was ready to pick them up (6 months later). Since then, I've adopted a new kitten and plan on bringing another one home next month. I've already scheduled both of their wellness checkup appointments for next month at Alpha Animal Hospital so they can meet my favorite veterinarian, Dr Peet.

And I am glad I found them, especially Dr. Lau. Can I just say, I absolutely love Dr. Lau? My biggest fear of having my last Vet retire was how I would find another conscientious and caring Vet who actually cared enough to put the work in. I have had dogs my entire life and I have encountered some awful Vets in the past, so when I found my last Vet I was thrilled to have him. I stayed with him for 17 years. Now that I have found Dr. Lau I feel so relieved and happy. Over the past two years I have slowly moved my three cats and one dog to Reed Animal Hospital. Dr. Lau has been nothing but kind and helpful and I 100% believe she cares about my animals. I can ask her questions and she answers them. She goes above and beyond without being pushy. And she is just an incredibly pleasant person to work with. I completely trust that she will exhaust all efforts to care for my animals. The other plus is that the Vet Techs and the front desk staff have always been incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff has never been snippy or rude like some other Vet offices are (or even your regular Dr. offices are). And the Vet Techs have been kind and good with my animals. Knowing your animals are well cared for is such a relief. And I am happy I found them.

The person at the front desk even called me back after she talked to a technician and had additional information for me! We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. It was a really great experience, especially with Dr. Bhinder. From the very beginning, Dr. Bhinder was extremely informative and detailed during Peach's checkup before her cleaning. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and genuinely helped ease my concerns, which I really appreciated. Honestly, this visit made me realize that this is the level of information and communication I should be receiving during a vet appointment. I felt much more informed and confident about Peach's care here that I'm strongly considering switching to this place as our main clinic. The staff was just as wonderful. They were attentive, kind, and clearly knowledgeable. They were very thorough throughout the entire process and made sure I understood what was going on every step of the way. One nurse went through the quote with me and let me know what to expect. She also told me to feel free to take my time and decide if I want to do the cleaning for Peach. I knew I could trust the team and decided to go through with it, so I had the cleaning scheduled. Dr. Bhinder personally called me to let me know when Peach would be ready for pickup and he even followed up the next day to check in on how she was doing. The level of care and follow-through truly stood out to me. After discharge, one of the nurses was refreshingly honest and even mentioned that Peach was a little feisty & tried to fight some of the staff during the procedure... but he also took the time to walk me through all of the aftercare details clearly and patiently. Overall, I felt listened to, supported, and reassured that Peach was in great hands. Because of the excellent care she received from the team, she now has some pearly white teef and no buildup/tartar! If you're looking for a vet team that is thorough, communicative, and genuinely cares about your pet, I would highly consider Curtner Pet Clinic & Hospital.
