Overall, my experience at this clinic was quite disappointing and I do NOT recommend it! The veterinarian felt very rushed, spent only a couple of minutes with me, and did not clearly explain my dog's condition, leaving me unsure about the next steps. The front desk communication also felt impersonal and inattentive, as the girl asked me questions about my dog while facing her computer, which made interaction difficult. I was recommended an extensive treatment plan involving multiple injections without a clear diagnosis from the veterinarian, so I did not feel comfortable proceeding with it and only agreed to a single antibiotic injection The only positive part of the visit was the veterinary technician who administered the injection -- she was extremely kind, friendly, and reassuring, and made an otherwise stressful visit feel a bit more comfortable. That is why my star rating is solely due to her. read more

In December, I rescued a stray cat and scheduled her for a spay surgery here. I did have to reschedule initially because I wasn't able to capture her in time. When I called back after receiving voicemail messages, the staff member I spoke with was clearly upset and had an attitude. I work night shift and sleep during the morning, so the tone felt unnecessary and unprofessional. When I finally brought my cat in for her spay, the experience that day was much better. Dr. Damian was thorough and asked appropriate questions. He's not overly talkative, but he seemed competent and knowledgeable. The staff that day were kind and gentle with my cat, which I truly appreciated. About a month later, I returned to request a refill for her monthly flea/tick medication. I stood at the front desk for at least 10 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone and did not acknowledge me at all. No eye contact, no "I'll be right with you." Eventually another staff member came out and, after some delay, asked if I needed help. I explained I needed the medication refill. After waiting another 10-15 minutes, she told me she could charge me for one dose. I requested a 3-6 month supply instead and was asked to wait again. After another 10 minutes, with no clear resolution and visible frustration from her end, I decided to just ask for the medication name and order it elsewhere. Overall, while I believe Dr. Damian is a good veterinarian, the repeated front desk issues and lack of professionalism made the experience frustrating and a significant waste of time. The vet I usually take my cats to were fully booked, so I decided to take him here after frantically searching online for clinics that could take us in the following day. Despite the clinic feeling a bit disorganized and extremely busy, I do I wanna say that this doctor is very knowledgeable & his staff were very nice and welcoming. I'm honestly glad we took him here because after this visit my kitten went from being sick and malnourished to being a happy, healthy, playful kitten in just 2 weeks. Needed to bring our dog here because my vet was closed for a week for office renovations. Thought my dog had a UTI. The staff was friendly, especially one lady who you can tell loves animals and interacting with the pet parents. She was really sweet, but I can't remember her name. Anyway, the doctor asked a few questions didn't really examine the dog and went straight to solutions. Suggested all sorts of tests that were very pricey. Did two of the three he suggested, and paid for meds and in the end my dog didn't even have a UTI. It wasn't a horrible experience, but I just feel like I got hustled. I felt like he was selling me on expensive tests the whole time. Almost $600 later my dog is fine and never had a UTI. I wasted time and lots of money for nothing and still don't know what was wrong with her. I wouldn't come back here. I just didn't feel like the doctor cared. read more

They are very eager to get you in for a visit and run ALL the tests--but good luck getting a response when it comes to a simple, routine preventive prescription. For the past two weeks, I've been trying to get a Revolution Plus prescription for my cat following her recent physical and bloodwork with Dr. Damian Pavlovski at this clinic. Despite four emails and two phone calls, the only reply I received was from the front desk saying the doctor refused to prescribe it without a heartworm test done at their clinic--without him ever responding to me directly via phone or email. My cat is a strictly indoor pet with no symptoms of heartworm. According to the American Heartworm Society, cats are atypical hosts and heartworm tests are not routinely required for preventives. Dr. Pavlovski witnessed firsthand how anxious and distressed my cat was during her last visit, especially during the very difficult blood draw (he took two tubes of blood from my cat's hind leg which took several minutes). To demand another stressful and unnecessary visit--seemingly just to pad the bill--is both unethical and upsetting. This clinic seems far more concerned with profit than with patient care. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who truly cares about their pet's well-being. read more

Honestly really loved this clinic. After searching for care at a more affordable cost for my cat, I'm glad I found this place. The staff was very kind and answered any questions I had. The doctor was also very nice, I could tell that he really loved and cared for the animals. Out of all the veterinarians I've seen, he asked the most questions and took the time to understand the situation that was going on. I also didn't feel like I was being pushed or pressured into spending extensive amounts of money unlike some vets I've been too. They were all understanding of my budget and tried their very best to work with me and what I was capable to do at the time. I will definitely be bringing my pets here from now on. read more

I visited this clinic today because my dog has severe scratching and a hot spot. Before booking, I went in person and explained the problem. The staff checked my dog's record and told me Cytopoint would cost about $170-$190 including the injection. Based on that, I booked an appointment. My appointment was at 5:15 PM. I was seen at 6:15 PM. I understood the delay because the clinic was busy. The exam lasted about 10 minutes. After that, I was told my bill was $445. I explained that this was not the price I was quoted. The doctor then added antibiotics and flea treatment that I did not request or approve. I clearly said I only came in for Cytopoint and did not consent to additional services. After discussion, the price changed to $285, with the reason being my dog weighed about 10 pounds more than expected. I offered to pay $200. That was declined. I then asked for a prescription so I could obtain the medication elsewhere. That request was refused. I offered to pay for the exam only and leave with the prescription. That was also refused. The doctor then told the front desk not to charge me and said I was no longer allowed to return to the clinic. This experience was shocking and unprofessional. I have been a paying client at this clinic before. In the past, I was given a spay estimate of around $570. After arriving, I was pressured into additional tests and services, and the final bill became nearly $2,000. I paid because my dog's surgery would not proceed without full payment. The surgery itself went well, but today shows a pattern. This clinic quotes one price and changes it later. Adds treatments without consent. Refuses prescriptions when questioned. Blocks clients who challenge billing. That is not patient care. That is pressure-based billing. Pets are family. People should not be pressured into medical costs through fear. I will not return. I do not recommend this clinic. read more

I recently visited this clinic because my dog developed a rash and bald spots. The veterinarian briefly examined him and asked if he was eating well. I mentioned he hadn't eaten that morning, although he usually eats regularly. The vet left, and a technician returned with an estimate recommending a skin test ($190) and blood work to rule out disease. I declined the blood work but agreed to the skin test. After they took my dog in, I went to the front desk to pay but was told to wait. When the technician came back, they said the vet now recommended antibiotic and anti-inflammatory injections, along with pills--before even waiting on the skin test results. This made the $190 test seem unnecessary, since it clearly wasn't needed for the prescribed treatment. When they brought my dog back, the technician casually said, "He's a jumper." To me, this suggested that my dog may not have been properly supervised while in their care, which is very concerning. Later, I looked up the medications they gave me and was shocked: Prednisone for $52.60, when the generic version costs about $5.10, and Dexamethasone for $30, which also typically costs around $5.10. These markups were excessive. Overall, while they addressed my dog's immediate symptoms, the visit felt rushed, overpriced, and lacking in transparency. The visit was not my favorite but could have been worse. Well not really. It was pretty bad, the plus side is the price to me wasn't outrageous. They always have very quick available appointments, I usually get in within the day or two. I scheduled, came in 10 minutes early was dryly greeted by a young girl with long lashes. Not friendly what so ever but got to the point. We were quickly roomed and waited 50 minutes to be seen by the vet. When I asked about it, was told "he'll be in next". No apologies or offer of help just he'll be in next. Doctor was the worse part. Barely examined my dog, didn't speak nicely to her (yes, should be required when a vet). Suggested a bunch of unnecessary tests and treatments. I declined most. He left quickly no pleasantries. The back office staff came to take her back for treatment. The back office staff was extremely nice and helpful. Very different than the doctor. Unsure if he even likes animals. I should of read reviews wouldn't helped me be prepared for the visit. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic and would not recommend bringing your pet here. 1. Overpriced medication - They charged nearly 10x the price compared to reputable sources like Chewy. For example, a prescription that costs about $4 elsewhere was billed at $40 here. 2. Rabies vaccine policy - Instead of honoring the standard 3-year rabies vaccine (which is allowed in Santa Clara County), they only provide 1-year validity for the booster. This forces you to return every year, paying an additional $50 exam fee each time. In the long run, this makes their services much more expensive compared to other clinics. 3. Unprofessional attitude - When I asked the vet to explain what the different vaccines were for and the risks if I declined certain ones, he was dismissive and rude. His response was essentially, "these are just normal vaccines you should already know about." When I asked if exam fees could be waived for returning patients, he accused me of only wanting to avoid paying the fee. He spent less than a minute "examining" my cat, then refused to administer the vaccines and told me to come back on another day with a different doctor--knowing how stressful it is for my cat to even be brought in. This felt manipulative and unkind, both toward me as a customer and toward my pet's well-being. I left feeling pressured, taken advantage of, and disrespected. read more

I loveeeee this pet clinic!!! Me and my dog baby went here because I thought she had a foxtail in her nose and update she did!! The doctor found the foxtail and took it out and my baby was okay after and got better immediately!!! I also want to say they did the procedure pretty fast! Maybe 2-3 hours honestly maybe a little less! Other places were saying she would be there all day and I couldn't do that because my dog has really bad anxiety!!! Also the price!! Other places were charging me 1000+ but Milpitas Pet clinic charged me was less than that! It was still a good amount since it's a procedure and my baby had to be put under sedation but it was a way more affordable amount about 500-600 about maybe a LITTLE more but they really took care of her and got her out quick for me it was worth every penny!!! Also the vet techs/ assistants at the front were super nice! They told me the risks about the foxtail being there and if it gets untreated and gave me a good estimate about how much the procedure would be! This helped a lot because other vet clinics I called either said they can't give me a price or it was 1,000+ which got my hopes down! Thank you the doctor and the lovely vet techs/assistants! they were very comforting about told me my dog would be just fine which I greatly appreciate! Definitely recommend this vet! read more

Awesome vet! I contacted Dr Damian if he offers low cost neuter and spay for feral cats and he said yes. I am forever grateful! I was on the wait list for the HSSV (humane society of silicone valley) in Milpitas for several months and they never contacted for an appt to TNR even though they received big donations to extend the TNR program. There were already ferals that are kittens around the neighborhood and in such extreme heat we were having too. I felt really bad for them but if I don't TNR them, more kittens would be born. Paying out of pocket $150 males neuter and $200 females spay takes a big chunk out of my paycheck but I feel it's the right thing to do to help save lives. I brought 4 ferals to be TNR here. Highly recommended to tnr the ferals here if you can find it in your heart to save lives. The receptionist/technician Karan was very sweet and understanding. Thank you Milpitas Pet Clinic! read more
