    He's so tired

If you are looking for a pure bred Yorkie in the DMV area look no further. Susan is an awesome and dedicated breeder. From my first phone call she was friendly and extremely informative. We picked our baby out at two weeks and picked him up at 8 weeks. He is an awesome lil guy. His vet was thoroughly impressed with how pleasant he was along with the information and products that Susan provided to make sure Niko's blood sugar levels were regulated... she is really dedicated to all of her animals. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a wonderful and well breed animal.

Susan Is a pure breed Yorkie breeder. She loves her dogs and you can see it by the way she takes care of them not just because she says so. She makes sure the puppies are healthy and the parents are healthy. If you have any questions you can call her and she will give you answers she has 20+ years experience so she knows what she is doing she is not a kennel or puppy mill. If you want a quality puppy that is healthy, sweet, and adorable go to her you get what you pay for. I absolutely love my little guy! He is handsome, sweet, and loving.

BEST of the best! This is the kind of breeder that EVERYONE should seek out and invest in. Invested in...and LOVES...her "bitches" and "sires". She genuinely cares about each and every Yorkie that she places. Incredible education and "new puppy" welcome package (including crate and toys). Attention to detail and "new owner" education is comparable to none. Susan Crummitt is the exception to the rule!!! Would not buy from any other breeder for healthy, happy, quality bred Yorkies.......period!

I really, really wish I could leave negative stars…read more I made an appointment for my sick dog for this afternoon. I arrived and was told that it wasn't in the system. I have an email confirming that the appointment was made. Apparently, these... people... simply cancel appointments randomly. They claimed to have called me, but I have zero missed calls. No voice mail. Nothing. Making an appointment online, with a confirmation, apparently doesn't make an appointment or confirm it? Yea. Left this place extremely angry.

This place is horrible. Do not take your animal here!!!!…read more A few months ago, we took our beautiful pit Beaux to an appointment to be checked for mange. He'd been scratching incessantly and had developed red bumps all over his skin and his fur was falling out like crazy. We'd already taken Beaux in several times before to get a proper diagnose and he kept being diagnosed with allergies. They never told us which kind of allergies he had or from where he got them, just that he had "allergies". We take him back anyway. After hours of being back "with the doctor" (mind you, we couldn't go back with him nor could we speak with a doctor after the visit), all we were told was that he has allergies (which we already knew!!!). They gave us some pills and sent us on our way. It got worse and worse and WORSE (see photo) and we refused to take him back because they refused to actually diagnose his issue. He'd chewed a hole in his tail from it itching so badly, our entire home smelled awful and whatever was causing the itching had now spread to his eyes. We instead took Beaux to another vet in DC, he was immediately diagnosed with a yeast infection, (since his visit to Banfield, he'd developed two ear infections as well), we were given a medicated shampoo, topical creams, and medication and within 3 days, he was completely better!!! Nobody at Banfield could apparently diagnose this and this is extremely disappointing!

The only reason e stopped service was because we relocated to New York City. I was a new dog owner, and initially wasn't giving my chi a potty break midday. With DC traffic this became increasingly stressful because I couldn't predict when I'd be home and didn't want her holding her bladder all day! After talking to a lot of walkers, I met Jennifer and the rest is history. Jennifer came over, met P, and talked to me generally about dog ownership & her services. Jennifer is super knowledgeable and a compassionate person for people and animals - this was so helpful because it put me at ease with giving someone access to my house & my new puppy!! Jennifer assigned us Jimmy as a walker - and that was P's BFF from that day forward. Jimmy is such a good human, would txt me updates, if needed, and treated Princess ...like a literal Princess! He was always on time, always communicative, and if the rate case he couldn't cover a walk, Jennifer took her out! They even convinced my little chi to potty in the rain & snow (something I struggle with to this day). Eventually some route changes kicked in and Isa was our walker. Isa was so sweet as well, and helped me fit P in a proper harness (which is tough for the little ones) in addition to being prompt & communicative! Additionally Jennifer sends consistent updates to clients through the portal, it's flexible with scheduling, and send a super cute newsletter with helpful information - esp for first time dog owners. Overall, Run and Play is the best pet care service in southern Maryland area! We were so sad to leave such good people and I highly believe trusting Jennifer with your fur babies is a great choice. 10/10 would recommend!

I was recommended Old Towne Pet Resort by a coworker, and I will now be recommending them too!…read more I called to make a 2-week dog boarding reservation 30-days in advance for the peak Christmas season, and they miraculously had availability at one of their three locations (Bethesda). The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and informative and made it easy. When it came time to drop my dog off the staff were so friendly and kind, and they were extremely attentive and took detailed notes of all the items I brought with my dog and any of her quirks (e.g., severe allergies, doesn't play well with others, etc.). The space was so clean and large. I felt very reassured dropping her off as I went on vacation. When I came back to get her, the staff was helpful and, again, extremely kind and talked about her time there with details that were definitely unique to my dog. She was happy, healthy, clean, and well groomed. All of her toys and leash items were accounted for and they even ran a toy out to my car that they had forgotten in her kennel. Bottom line: 5/5 do recommend!

Two years after boarding my dog at Olde Towne Pet Resort, I am still dealing with health issues…read morecaused during her stay. I am not one to complain, especially in a public forum, but the lack of care my animal received was egregious. During her stay, my dog experienced an ear infection so severe that she developed acute dermatitis from scratching. The sore or 'hot spot' on her cheek was unmissable when we picked her up, but The staff tried to pass it off as if everything was normal. The groomer who prepared her for pickup had the gall to pretend he didn't notice a massive weeping sore on her face. For her condition to have reached this point, she would have needed to scratch constantly for days and not be noticed by the staff that were supposed to be spending 'cuddle time' with her daily. As anyone who has ever had a pet with an ear infection can attest, the behavior is far from subtle. Any remotely observant and competent person would catch it. Worse, I reviewed the update photos that were sent throughout her stay, and red spot on her cheek is visible in every shot and getting progressively worse. This means that the staff overseeing playtime let an animal run around with blood on her face for days without investigating. This is utterly unacceptable. My dog also came home with constant bouts of diarrhea that we assumed this might have been a bug she picked up in boarding, but it turned out to be colitis. Our veterinarian confirmed that this was most likely stress-induced. It has made me wonder what trauma my dog experienced while being boarded that would cause her to develop a permanent bowel condition. Her colitis has caused her enormous suffering and I am still trying to manage the condition years later. As others have reported here, the staff did not feed my animal the way they were directed, and returned what was supposed to be an empty bag of dog food to us half-full. So to recap, they underfed my dog in addition to neglecting an ear infection and resultant severe, pus-weeping skin infection, then tried to pass my pet off to me as if nothing happened. Whatever they did or neglected to do for her led to a chronic bowel condition that has rendered her partially incontinent. I was appalled by the dishonesty I experienced from the staff, but decided at the time to let it go, and simply swore never to give Olde Towne my business again. I figured my dog would bounce back, but she didn't. Reflecting that she has never been the same and that she experienced pain and neglect at the hands of the people I entrusted her with, I feel the need to let other pet owners know what they might be in for if they board their animals here.
