I have never had a doctor that always makes you wait 3 to 4 hour hours in a small, stuffy, hot waiting room. This is not an isolated incident. It happens every single time I went there and I've been there at least eight times now. The last time I went there was the last straw. The doctor was telling me how she didn't know if she was going to make it and how the insurance companies were not giving her enough money. She said she was losing money and didn't know how she was going to stay in business. I went to a new ENT and filled out all the paperwork to get my records copied and transferred over. They never came in time for my first appointment after being called repeatedly. Every time the new doctor called them or I called them we were told they were on her desk waiting to be approved. It's been over seven weeks now. I do not recommend using this doctor. read more

Being new in town, I looked up a listing of the best ENT's in Henderson. Among those listed, I chose Dr.Susan Schwartz to treat a chronic ear problem. I can honestly share that I have lived in many states and cities and visited many doctors, both short and long term, and found Dr.Schwartz to be the absolute best.. Horrible! If you have some simple crap like sinuses sure go to Susan. But she left me in pain. I still have problems with my throàt and the pain is worse. I had to be proactive the whole time trying to figure out what's going on. Trying to ask for test and CT scans. Welp. I finally got my ultrasound and additional tests done. Turns out I got a lot going on. She never referred me to another ENT either like she said she would. Ohhh. If we could only find doctors who will listen and believe there clients. Still haven't found one yet. The staff referred me to doctor Palacio though at the ear nose and throat on Sunset. This guy was a real four letter word. Good luck! Pray a lot. read more

Stay far away. Not only was the staff unprofessional as others have noted, Dr Susan herself acts like she can't be bothered to give you the time of day and generally projects a terrible attitude towards patients. This office will also do their best to scam you out of every last dollar they can through hidden fees and procedures not covered by your insurance. As with all scams, you will only find out after the fact. Avoid at all costs. You will be treated terribly from the minute you walk in the door. In the end you will find yourself paying far more than the pathetic, begrudging treatment from "doctor" Susan is worth. Dr. Schwartz was very rough when she did an examination of my throat with a scope. The scope passes through a nostril, and into the throat. Before she passed the scope into my nostril, she yanked my nostril open with her instrument into an unnaturally wide position, and it really hurt. She was also rough when applying the anesthesia and when looking in my throat. It is one week later, and my nose still hurts and is still swollen. Also, this doctor did not explain the procedure before she started, and did not explain it after I asked her to. I do not recommend this doctor. This was only my second visit to this doctor, and I am not going back. read more

I recently got this horrible ear infection in both ears. I was going through nights without sleep, I decided to go to my doctor. My doctor only gave me an antibiotic, but it wasn't helping as much. So I decided to see a specialist, Dr. Schwartz. She is the best doctor I have met with, she got one look into my ear and knew exactly what was going on and how to fix it. It took less than three days for the pain to go away after her help. It's been a week since I saw her and I have never felt so good with my ears in a long time. Thank Dr. Schwartz! read more

I don't know my general physician's name as I don't need to! My major concern is my ENT and the first time I read reviews on Dr. Schwartz.....I got my hopes high, and all for the positive reviews! SHE IS GOOD AND SHE IS PATIENT AND most of all after my first visit I know I will walk for SURE walk out of her clinic in a better shape!! There is a wait at times.....not always....but she is GOOD....and I don't have a problem as I know when she sees me I never feel rushed! She patiently listens and advises and suggests and definitely has helped me feel better. I have waited in an urgent care in San Jose longer and walked out of the place feeling more sick and tired with no relief at all. Two days later I see Dr Schwartz and I walk out better and with positive hope that I have a good solution for my allergies and severe sinus! Definely worth every wait! Dr Schwartz is very experienced, thorough and takes her time. My son and I are both patients. She just recently performed Adenoid and tonsil removal on my 8 year old. Where do I start ...... took my son in to see dr.schwartz and the visit got of to a bad start because we waited over an hour after our appointment to be seen ( mind you my son is autistic and its a challenge to keep him seated for a long period of time ) . That being said we got in the room and waited another 30 minutes to be seen by her only after she sent in a student from tauro university to buy her some more time , the student was nice and I advised him that my son was autistic and would require some patience if work was to be done in office today. The university student understood and said he would share that with the doctor. When her royal highness finally comes in she don't say hi nor does she apologize for the excessive wait time and begins to ask questions about my sons nose bleeds . I brush it off and proceed to answer her questions and then she asked my son to take a seat in the chair so she can examine him , as she proceeds to examine him my son gets afraid and moves and she started to use an abusive tone of voice commanding him not to move . I start to comfort my son and she looks at me like she wants to say something so I immediately said to her my son is autistic and afraid , she pauses and doesn't say anything and when my son is ready she proceeds and then we leave . The student from tauro university was to the side of her and he looked annoyed with the way she was acting . So we return for a second visit giving her the benefit of the doubt and again we wait over an hour past our appointment time . When we get in the back the same tauro university student we encountered the first visit comes in and he recognized us , again he was nice and I advised him again that the doctor needed to understand that she cannot use an abusive tone of voice with my son and that she needs to know hes autistic . The student said he agreed and assured me he will let her know , 45 minutes later her royalty comes in again without even saying hi . I brush it aside because her work on my son from the previous visit did work for him and his nose bleeds had gone from a near daily basis to 3 nose bleeds in 5-6 weeks. She doesn't use an abusive tone this time but is still rather unfriendly and very unprofessional aswell . I had overheard her yelling at staff this visit while we were in the room and was afraid she would come in guns blazing and start yelling at my son like the previous visit , fortunately it didn't happen this visit but she still showed no sensitivity to my sons disability . The third visit was a follow up and my wife takes our son in this time . My wife waits over an hour past our appointment time and the doctor over heard my wife talking to the front office staff asking them when our son would be seen . When they finally get seen she comes in with no hi or apologies for the excessive wait time and proceeds about her work all the while occasionally gives my wife dirty looks , I guess shes not used to hearing questions about the excessive wait time ( being sarcastic ) ..... NOW BRACE YOURSELFS ... A few days ago my wife takes our son in to address the nose bleeds that have picked up again . My wife and son wait almost two hours past the appointment time and our son is getting restless . When my wife starts to ask the front office about why is it taking so long the lady apologizes and says that she was running late , like that's never happened before . Anyways when they are taken back to the room our son needed to go to the restroom , as my wife is waiting outside the restroom she hears the doctor start to scream where is the patient and a staff member tells her that hes in the restroom and she goes crazy yelling that shes not going to wait . As this tirade is going on our son exits and my wife starts to make her way back to the room and meets up with a staff member in the hall and she had my wifes purse in her hand . My wife was shocked that they would put their hands on her purse , my wife took our son and left after she spoke to the staff member who repeatedly apologized and looked like she was embarrassed and was about to cry because she was forced to put her hands on my wifes purse and basically walk my wife and son out without being seen . I assumed that dr.shwatrz is just a despicable person , however after further assessing the visits as a whole I have reason to believe that dr.shwartz bigotry contributed to her hostility towards my wife because its undeniable that we are muslim because my wife covers her hair for religious reasons and its not hard to know that we are muslim in this day and age . Its also undeniable that this arrogant unprofessional doctor didn't accommodate our son after specifically being told that hes autistic , and im not saying that patients that have no disabilities should be treated with hostility and an abusive tone either . I plan on suing her for discrimination and im filing a complaint with the medical board . read more

I was getting multiple sinus infections every year. I finally went in and she fixed my problem. It has been over year since my last sinus infection, my quality of life has increased. Dr. Schwartz knows her stuff, she might be brusk and not have much bedside manners, but she's good at her job and she will work as hard as you do to resolve your issues, and that is all that matters to me. read more

Office staff has a great response time, will call, double call, and triple call to be sure you have been reached and given an appointment or to make sure you have been called back regarding a message. You can expect to wait about an hour for your appointment (only reason I gave 4 stars), and while you sit you'll hear her talk about how she can't ever stay on time...but when she's with you, she's with you 100%. She does whatever you need as soon as possible. She even had me come in over the weekend to check on the incision she made on my ear in a Friday. I smell something weird in my nose. doctor give me some water with salt and some medicine and told me to come to see her in about 3 weeks. the smell didn't go away until one day I sneeze and some small rice came out which is causing the weird smell. so I didn't go to see her. now they bill me $45 and say no show no call. First they should have told me and second your treatment didn't help me at all. read more

Dr Schwartz is a highly professional and caring physician. I definitely recommend her. The doctor treated me for vertigo, which was confirmed by testing. The diagnosis was correct and the condition has improved considerably since I've been in her care. What more could I ask for? The office is small but very clean, and the staff are all courteous. Walls are decorated with signed photos of celebrities (some of them LV residents), whom Dr Schwartz has treated: Manny Pacquiao, Marie Osmond, Donny Osmond, Tom Jones, Ozzy Osbourne, and others. Sometimes there's a wait, but nothing extraordinary compared with other medical offices. I want to address the absurd and appalling comments made below about bigotry. Neither Dr Schwartz nor anyone in her employ is bigoted in any way. The patients in the waiting room, as well as the staff, are highly diverse and all are treated in a dignified way--that's been my observation on several visits. If you don't like a doctor, go to a different one, instead of wailing about imagined prejudice due to headscarves or some such. It's absolutely ridiculous to make such claims without ANY evidence whatsoever. This is the sort of foolishness that is driving our country into a cesspool of indignation and victim mentality. For those who complain about the wait times, you DO realize it's a doctors appointment and you DO realize she's the only doctor here doing the work, right? Of course there is a bit of a wait time but if there wasn't, I might be a little bit concerned. She's busy? That means she has a lot of patients. She must be doing something right! Every time I've come in, the staff at the front desk are always very friendly and helpful. I've never had an issue. There was only one time I missed my appointment and received the "no show" fee, but I can accept responsibility for my own actions so I paid the fee without complaining. :) Dr. Shwartz has always been great with me. She has a strong personality but I've never found her to be offensive. She knows what she's talking about and if there's an issue, she doesn't want to waste any time or lolly gag. She's straight to the point and that's what I like about her! She can be pretty funny at times, too. Dr. Schwartz has been great with our family! She recently did surgery on my four year old. Dr. Schwartz made the experience for my daughter a positive one instead of freighting. Our daughter has healed up better than we were expecting! Dr.Schwartz had great advice to make the healing process better. I recommend really taking the advice! Her office assistant Jessica is our favorite! Always so happy and willing to answer questions for us. When we are there it's so busy, but Jessica always has a smile! There have been some office staff that were not as upbeat as her and unpleasant, but we are always glad to see her! As for the wait times..we are used to it now, but we thought it was crazy at first. We find waiting for Dr. Schwartz worth the wait. She does not mess around. If you don't mind the wait she really is worth going too. She has helped us the past year and half we've been seeing her. The doctor seems very knowledgeable and is to the point. The staff and communication are terrible. Over the months I dealt with this office, calls weren't returned, and issues were not taken care of. I had to constantly push them to do the things that should automatically been taken care of. There are times I waited 2 hours after my appointment time to see the doctor. Dr. Schwartz is the absolute best ent ive been to. I have had chronic ear and sinus issues going on 3.5 years now. She has been very professional and pleasant. Any time i have needed it in the past, she has been more than willing to fit me in when an emergency pops up. A lot of people complaining about wait times dont even stop to think about the miracles this wonderful woman is doing. I understand people dont feel well, they are in a hurry or they just dont want to be sitting around waiting to feel better but she takes the time to make sure you are offered the absolute best care possible. Plus all of the times i have been to her office, i have never waited more than 30 mins after my appointment. The staff is very friendly in person and over the phone. I met with Dr. Schwartz today. Let me start by saying she had a cancellation and saw me in minutes a new patient. If you judge your M.D. by wait times then your an idiot, you judge by medical professionalism. Dr. Schwartz does not beat around the bush, she is obviously an expert in her field and within 5 minutes of entering a room a tube was going into my nose and down my throat with a light and examining the inside of a very painful throat. Dr. Schwartz is fast because she is very popular and has a down packed routine. I am tired of going to medical clinics here in Nevada where hundreds of people are being processed. Dr. Schwartz felt like a private office clinic with one M.D. vs. a dozen with one on one attention where she hears you out. Make sure to fill out your paper work prior to going to the office to save time for you and everyone else. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone I care for. My first time with Dr. Schwartz and I was sold. I plan on being a nurse practitioner in the future and hope my expertise is as exceptional as Dr. Schwartz. Well, I had an 8:30 appointment and attempted to give the front desk my insurance and id as I signed in, but they were busy and had me sit down. I stated early I had not filled the paperwork yet, and they acknowledged it and let me know they would be with me shortly. Dr Swartz who I havent met yet, was upset that the files were unoraganized and had to give the front desk girls a new training on operations. So after hearing how unorganized they are, I am sitting waiting for an hour. Now after hour and forty five minutes I start filling out the questionnaire paperwork and they grab my insurance and tell me they dont take it. I understand that Doctors can choose to discriminate based on what types of insurance you have, but please get organized and let your patients know ahead of time if you take their insurance or not. No one apologized for wasting my time, let alone helping me find a suitable Doctor. read more

My family sees Dr. Schwartz. She is awesome and so as her two front office staff-Jessica and J! Jessica and Jay are always so nice regardless of how busy they are. My 4-year-old-daughter went to see Dr. Schwartz for her frequent nosebleeds. She has been on and off with her Nebulizer that was prescribed by her pediatrician for more than 2 years. During one of her follow-up appointments, Dr. Schwartz was checking my daughter's nose when I requested for her to check my daughter's ears too-assuming the cough might be caused by an ear infection. Her ears were fine, but Dr. Schwartz ordered some lab tests and that's when we found out that my daughter was allergic to Nutella and other stuff. She is no longer on Nebulizer after we got the lab results and made sure she doesn't eat the food she is allergic to! My husband also sees Dr. Schwartz for his frequent nosebleeds. She fixed his nose too. She explained the pre and post surgery instructions thoroughly and when we had questions, she was the one who called us back and answered all our questions! Her staff also called and checked on my husband after the surgery. My husband does not get nosebleeds anymore and his nose healed fast! Thank you so much Dr. Schwartz, J, and Jessica! Beet ENT ever. She figured out what was causing a chronic cough that I've had for a couple of years. I spent the last year seeing specialist after specialist. She identified several allergies I didn't know I had and asthma. I have never felt better. To be fair she does get behind and the wait time can be long. Dr. Susan Schwartz is the most dedicated physician I've ever been to. She demands high quality care from herself and her staff for each of her patients. If I have to wait for my appointment I know its because has a laser focus on the health of the patient ahead of me not because of any long lunches. After my sinus surgery, she stayed with me when I was so nauseous (anesthesia) I threw up all over her. She did not leave me to someone else. She called my house later that night to check in on me and even left her cell number with my husband. It means a lot, she is amazing. You will find her manner very direct and to the point except with the elderly and children. Its then when her inner character is most visible, you'll see her doting on them with tender patience. Her staff reflect Dr. Schwartz' priority of patient health and have always been helpful and kind. I wholeheartedly recommend this doctor. read more

I've had a wonderful experience with this doctor. I recently broke my nose and was recommended to her by one of her patients. I walked into her office without an appointment and she managed to squeeze me into her busy schedule even though she could have turned me away. She conducted a closed reduction repair on me and the results have been perfect, my nose is right where it used to be. Dr. Schwartz knows what she's doing and you can really tell how much she cares about her patients and how seriously she takes her job. Yes the wait at her office is a little long, but if you want quality care and a more than competent doctor then it's more than worth the wait.
