I am currently sitting on my lanai blissing out after experiencing one of the best massages I've ever had. Susan is not your typical "spa day" masseuse. She is an experienced, highly skilled massage therapist who will actually make your body better than it was before. My husband and I weren't even thinking about getting massages (partially because I'm picky about working with seriously good therapists), but after doing a 13-mile hike through Haleakala the day before, my legs/back/neck were crying out for some attention. I found Susan on yelp and the rave reviews were hitting my buzzwords for a great therapist. If I'm getting a massage, it needs to not only feel fantastic, it needs to have lasting effects. Susan listened to me when I told her what parts of me were in need of attention and asked several questions so she was very informed of the state of my body before she began. She even added stretches throughout the massage that helped repair the beating my body took because of our hike. Throughout the hour I felt no pain and could literally feel the muscles in my body loosening as she gently yet firmly worked them over and over. I'm not kidding when I say this was sixty minutes of bliss. Now my legs, shoulders, and neck aren't even half as sore as they were before. She literally helped fix my body. If you think she's expensive, you're wrong. For her level of service and care I'd say Susan is a steal, especially when a less than effective massage at any of the nearby fancy resort spas will run you almost double. Not to mention, she is excellent at responding quickly if you reach out to her. I called her at 8 am and she was able to be out at our condo two and a half hours later for a couple's massage. I would recommend her without hesitancy to not only vacationers but to locals who need a regular therapist. Give her a call, you will absolutely not regret it. Even my husband, who is NEVER satisfied with massages (no one can go deep enough into his muscles) was shocked at how much he enjoyed his treatment. Susan is a very skilled masseuse. I was having a lot of neck pain during our trip since some of the places we stayed at had terrible beds/pillows. I was waking up everyday with severe neck pain. It got so bad that I had a hard time fully turning my neck on one side. It was making vacation really difficult to enjoy. She came to our Airbnb for 90 minute massages for me and my husband. She had the perfect touch for me where she was working on my shoulder and neck tightness without hitting the bad spots (spine, sensitive neck areas, etc). After our session, I can immediate feel a noticeable loosening of my neck and shoulder zones. I highly recommend her. Also, it was great that she's able to come to our Airbnb. We were able to get massages at the comfort of our place! My husband and I did our own spa. While he was getting a massage, I put on a face mask and took a nap. And vice versa. Susan left my room at my resort a few hours ago and I am still in massage bliss! I had a 90 minute massage, and she was so incredible. I get a lot of massages, and have experienced a wide spectrum of personalities and techniques. She has such a kind personality and makes you feel comfortable instantly. My comfort level was her first priority through the entire massage. Re: the massage itself, I can't say enough good things about it. She mixes deep tissue massage with more relaxing, shallow massage so even when she's really working on something, it still feels like luxurious pampering. During my massage, an extremely obnoxious (false) emergency alarm went off at the resort and the loud annoying announcements were killing the mood. Susan was so cool about it, she just kept going and even threw in 15 extra minutes for me, because she felt bad about the intrusion.
