Lelle...what can I say, she is wonderful, has healing hands, transports you to a floating relaxed state of being....gives an Ah-mazing massage :) I was so relaxed and heady afterwards I forgot which car I was driving...lol. I was very lucky to receive a birthday gift card from a fantastic friend and was excited to try out a new masseuse, especially one so local to me. Lelle was so friendly, has a nicely decorated room with a heated massage table that is soooo comfy, and checks in with you regarding temperature, pressure, and any medical things to take into consideration before she starts. My massage included hot stones (ahhhhhhh), heated pressure bags (yeeeeessss) and aromatic sprays (ommm) which helped create an even more relaxing atmosphere. It was one of the best massages I've ever had and Lelle used a little pressure point in areas and managed to unknot parts I didn't know I had knots, without any discomfort. You can find Lahaina Healing Center in the Chiropractor's office, upstairs above the Napili grocery store to the right, up a flight of stairs. With easy parking, and text reminders regarding your massage and online booking system it makes it a cinch to let Lelle massage you back into health and well being. Arrived on the island of West Maui October 14th. With everything being shut down at the resorts, due to the fires, there were no spas open. Luckily, I ran into this nice young lady Michelle, also known as Lelle, which is her last name. She is a massage therapist and I got her business card as she was just reopening. I wanted to support locals while we were here visiting, so I went and saw her one evening and oh my gosh it was the best massage I have ever had on the island! I visited Lelle after I was involved in a car accident as a referral from Dr. Amy. Prior to the accident, I was already in need of a massage but after, I was given a referral from my treating physician for 4 weeks of massage therapy and thankfully, Lelle works with insurance! Lille is extremely accommodating and was able to get me in right away for massage. During our first session she used light therapy and pressure point techniques. It was unlike any massage that I've had before where usually I have the therapist do deep tissue massage since I just wanted the knots to go away. But after the light therapy and pressure point techniques, I left feeling better than before my accident! Lelle's attention to problem areas combined with her healing techniques truly have helped me to feel better than ever!! Booked a very last minute appointment Thursday and was so happy Lelle was able to fit me in for the 90 minute Apothecary massage. Omg. First of all, such a great package. So much goodness included and price is very reasonable- especially for everything you get. Lelle was very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable. I appreciate a fairly last minute appointment. I was looking for a firm massage typically I have male masseurs. Girl on phone didn't have a male appointment that day but said she had a strong female so I gave it a whirl. It was a hot day. Office was closed and a/c was off - so it was uncomfortably hot in there. There was a/c in the massage room but weak. Special organic Hawaiian oil used gave me rashes and I am not a sensitive skin kind of person. Masseur Tia was very nice, sweet, funny, cute - gave a gentle oily massage but not much for muscle soreness work. Didn't feel like I was worked on just lightly relaxed. Avoid this "business." Like any massage I've ever had, I showed up 15 minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment. The massage "office" is in the back of a dingy-looking building (no wonder there are no images of the location on their misleading website) with no lighting and a locked door. If you carefully go through the fine print on their website, you will eventually find that they call themselves a "boutique" and ask that you not arrive before your scheduled appointment. Think about that for a minute: they don't want you arriving early b/c your therapist is finishing up with someone right up until your appointment start time. How exactly does that work? It is a general rule of thumb to arrive up to 15 minutes early to use the restroom, meet one's therapist, discuss pain areas and injuries and to get undressed and ready for the massage. Apparently, this doesn't happen with Lelle Vie or Spa Lelle (or w/e other name they go by) until your appointment begins -- very, very odd. I arrived 15 minutes early. I walked up to their door (which had a realtor-like access lock on it), I knocked gently and tried to open the door. No response. No sound from inside. No lights. I then waited until 5 minutes before and tried again, no response and no indication that the business was open. I then knocked on the door more loudly at the time my massage was to begin, still nothing. And, even then, I waited in my vehicle for 5 more minutes to see if someone would arrive... still nothing. Then, I drove back to my hotel, incredibly disappointed and frustrated. On my way home, I received a call (and voicemail from Molly). Once in a safe spot, I returned her call and was LECTURED by her that their cancellation policy says no refunds and that they can try and fit me in at another time...oh and completely inferring that it was my fault that I didn't wait longer for their tardy therapist (apparently she was in the building, but in a massage... and I was somehow supposed to know that!) Side note: I asked for a male masseur... their website says they will accommodate gender preference... they did not. I explained to her that I would not be coming back (and that they had completely screwed up my morning) ... and she continued lecturing me that had I read (the fine print) on their website, I would have known not to arrive early. How ridiculous. By the way, I went back to their website and nowhere in the booking process do they mention this... if you go to their website and look at their services and then go through the online booking process, you will never see any notification of two very important details: 1) you are booking with your credit card, but must pay with cash (nice surprise); and 2) please do not arrive early. Even the "Conditions" link you agree to is specific to their cancellation policy - no mention of not arriving early and wait for however long it takes for a therapist to show up. Ridiculous! At the location, there was no sign saying "massage in progress" nor was there any other indicator that I should wait for my therapist. Nor was there a text message from their staff that my therapist would be running late. Funny how much communication there is once a client "misses" their massage and how little communication there was to avoid this situation in the first place. These people have obviously been burned in the past, are bitter, and have set up a system that protects them ... even when they screw up. Their massages could be phenomenal for all I know, but avoid this business at all costs. They have ruined my vacation... as I sit here in a hotel room in paradise feeling compelled to share my experience. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Response to owner's comment (12/11/16): Yes, all of my FOUR Yelp reviews dating back to 2011 are one-star. Over the last 5.5 years, I have only been this disgusted by the service I have received to post a negative review just four times. That should tell you something. The owner wants you to believe I am a troll making up a complaint about her business, which is evidence of her desperation to protect her brand. I get that... her business is important to her. What I don't get (or excuse) is resorting to LYING about the facts. The owner's response that I was a "no-show" is a calculated, intentionally deceptive statement. By phone, a woman named Molly (the same person I believe wrote this response) said that the therapist was there and heard my knocks on the door, but was with a client and could not answer. In the email from "Lelle" that arrived about 30 minutes after the phone call, it says: "Our therapist didn't answer your knock because she was finishing the last guest." The facts are that I did not miss my appointment. I was 15 minutes early and waited until 11:35am for some sign of life. There was none. The owner knows this, but will do anything and everything to not take responsibility! read more

Recently treated myself to a birthday massage at my still favorite local spa. I had a different therapist, Deanna, whose talent as a deep tissue expert really comes through- I was relaxed, and yet still received a thorough treatment to my muscles. Also, Lelle has truly come into her own in terms of the all natural products she personally forrests and distills and her clients are now able to purchase. Both the packaging and products are gorgeous, and I was able to pick up some for myself, but also as some truly "made on maui" by HAND products!!!! Additionally, she is a perfumer and has incredibly scented items and gifts galore! The inside of the spa looks amazing and I love that Lelle and team continue to take care of the Kamaaina with their specials. read more

Best. Massage. Ever! My husband and I got the Vanilla Bean Dream couple's massage while on our honeymoon and were blown away by the experience. Lelle, herself, has a myofascial release technique that had me blissfully melting and my husband had her colleague who had a different Hawaiian technique but was also great. The 90-min massage was on special and a steal at $130 each! It included a full body massage with hot stones and Himalayan salts, face and foot scrub, and scalp massage with oils and aromatherapy. It was so good that at different points I'd sadly anticipate it was about to end. But it just kept going! They ended up running a half hour long but didn't charge extra so we left them a huge tip. We could barely drive because we were in such a relaxed dreamy state. We will DEFINITELY be back again before the trip is over. read more

In fact, I made a yelp account just so I can share how phenomenal my experience was with Lelle. Besides the fact that the place is tucked away in a strip mall with the 'waiting area' outside, it was away to get to with the repeat shuttle. I got the " ___ traveler" massage package, and although labeled as 70 minutes, it literally felt and lasted much longer. We opted for the special Apothecary Treatment available and WOW!!!! were we happy we did. I ordered an 80 minute massage and asked for Swedish + deep tissue (deep tissue was an extra charge). But I didn't get deep tissue, and I didn't get Swedish either. I got lomi lomi instead. At first I thought that her style was different and she would eventually do Swedish, but that didn't happen. And as time went on I just really wanted what I ordered. Finally when it was done, the receptionist charged me for the extra deep tissue. But the worst part was when the 20% gratuity was automatically added. I had the option to remove it but I would have to be undoing it in front the masseuse. The entire transaction was very uncomfortable, so I went with it. Who wants to have a stressful conversation about wrong charges after a massage... but regret it soon as I did. read more

My friend and I called the day of around noon and booked a couples massage for 3pm. Honestly, from the outside, I was skeptical. When we arrived and knocked on the door, the masseuse asked us to sit outside and wait a few minutes. Spa Lelle is located in a small business complex where each business owns a small office space. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing. But when they finally let us in, the place was actually pretty nice! We chose our $250 tropical couples massage and they quickly got it started. I recently had the BEST massage experience EVER. From the very professional, experienced and thorough Massage therapist, (Lelle) to the specialized tropical oils and aroma spritzer used to relax you even more during the massage [which is by the way made in their own distillery- can't get any better than that!] The entire experience was very pleasant and relaxing, exactly what I was hoping for when on vacation. When I first called to make the appointment, I was a bit worried. We had forgotten to book our massages after the Maui marathon, so we were having trouble finding open bookings around the island. We found this place on Yelp, and when I called, they were able to schedule us as 2 massages back-to-back (to fit in all 4 in our group). It seemed a bit weird (she told me if they were running late to wait outside until someone unlocked the door), but we were desperate, so I made the appointment. Once we got there, I was still pretty skeptical. Turns out that this place is more like a co-op where independent masseurs schedule appointments into one location. There is no greeter on staff and no front office (which is why the door was locked until they arrived to let us in). The strip mall is extremely sketchy with what appear to be meth-heads hanging around outside the door. Our masseur was late (she had to go move her car, apparently), so we were a bit concerned by having to wait outside the door until she arrived. Once we got past all of that, the massage itself was pretty great. Both masseurs really cared that we had a good experience. I can't remember their names, but one of them seemed to give more of a Thai style no matter what you asked for. Not necessarily ideal, but Thai massages are still good!
