It dawned on me that I had no clue whether Eagan had an Asian grocery store. I did a quick search…read moreand found Viet Hoa Lao Market. This store is across from a Walgreens that I enjoy and a Dairy Queen that I had visited for the first time last month. I found this store easily. It's in a plaza with a bunch of other businesses. I backed into a spot and walked in. This store has Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai items. It looks like a tiny store from its exterior, but there is so much to look at when you're inside. The aisles are narrow. If you require a walker or wheelchair, you will have a tough time moving around this store. The fresh produce and fridges containing drinks and more are on the left when you first walk in. You can get baguettes and banh mi sandwiches by the checkout area on the right when you walk through the doors. The ramen, vermicelli, and noodle section is impressive. I stood there in awe of everything that I was looking at. I was also impressed that there was a little section with Chinese ointments and hair dyes. I wish that it was more extensive. However, if you want white flower oil or tiger balm for your ailments and such, you are good getting them here. It was nice seeing packages of banh xeo flour. You can pretty much find everything that you need to make an authentic Vietnamese, Chinese, or Thai meal, from sriracha to cha chien. I saw huge jackfruit by the Pocky. I've never seen both products so close together in a store. You can tell that this store packs so many products in such tiny quarters. The snacks are decent, from coconut-covered peanuts, to shrimp-flavoured chips. I didn't buy anything, but I was curious to check this place out. The store accepts cash and most major credit cards, including Discover. I enjoyed browsing here. I'd return if I need any snacks or feel adventurous to make some banh xeo in my hotel room. (113)

The employees that have helped me have always been nice both at check out, or asking an employee a question roaming through the store. They are currently under construction inside (June-September 2026) but it doesn't feel like a big mess, at least not yet. I like the new aisle layout compared to the produce feeling cut off some the rest of the store. They carry all major brands plus their own generic (Every Day Essentials) which can help keep grocery costs down. My major complaint is that the Cub I shopped at in Lakeville has some foods that I really like but aren't carried at a Cub East. For example their Cub branded andouille sausage or a specific canned refried black bean. Their prices are at times higher than other grocers, and other times lower, especially with their sales. The produce here is better than other stores in my opinion--feels like I am buying fresher foods there.

How many cubs does Eagan need to have? Pretty convenient to have so many but also hard to find…read morecorrect address for the right one I'm looking for exactly. Picking up a prescription for someone who says cub in Eagan was a bit difficult without the exact address. Easy to find stuff with everything labeled. Found the dill popcorn I've been looking for everywhere! Did not find the fresh Asian food in produce though. This one seems smaller than other cubs. Liquor store is detached. Plenty of parking.

The guy calls "NEXT" i am not ready as i had to text my girlfriend to make sure that i grabbed everything. So i went to self checkout, normally i never go to these as its packed, but This man literally stopped taking people and went and grabbed my items and said that i attempted to "steal". I doubled back like "what did you say?" And he continued to tell me that im stealing the meat. He did not let me make my payment, which was with 2 DIFFERENT CARDS. You old white a-hole. He had a receding hairline, its always the people with no hair, holding on to a little bit of hair that they have left, I literally have more than enough to pay $5.99 and $1.25 for the items. lol he really just sat there and embarrassed the living hell out of me. Mind you i have a big chain on, i swear thats why he picked me out. clearly this loser cannot afford to pay for a chain. I felt like he picked me out specifically because i was the only non-white person there. That is not how you approach someone, someone needs to seriously talk to that old man, get some rogaine or something. Im normally very nice, but this man really left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish i got his name, i would make it my mission to do his wife and daughters. And thats IF he has them, no hair havin ass person. & then he has the nerve to say "dont come back here or i will call the cops" Im SILENT through it all because i dont feel well, and i didnt want to argue with him. First off, douchebag, i can go WHEREVER i please, you cannot legally call the cops on me, i didnt do anything. But thats fine, its literally thousands of other stores i can buy hamburger meat and bread from. I wont EVER be going back to this aldi, because if i see that man? Ufff its a bad day for him. Its very diverse, so i dont understand why he picked me out, i literally have 15k on JUST my neck. I can afford hamburger meat. Smh this is sad human being. If i wasnt so sick? I would have told him to go fk hisself. He need to worry about his hair, and ugly ass glasses. The crazy part is He probably makes no more than $30,000 a year, i wont even stoop to his level in all honesty. Working for a supermarket thats considered "cheap" and thats how you feed yourself? Assuming that you have a family, thats how you feed your children??? Pathetic old man, He just ruined my day with his lowlight depressing self. And since you pulled that? I stole ketchup, and i stole a juice. now go do your inventory and put that on there, jackass!!! I hate old white men, its always something with them. They want authority over you because when they was younger someone like me made sure to make there life hell.

They slice the meat and cheese right there and you can fully customize your sandwich, which I love. The service was phenomenal. Super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Cute shop and they also have a great selection of Italian products in the shop, plus their own ready-made items like homemade frozen pizzas and take-and-bake entrees, which is such a nice bonus. It's takeout only, but they make it easy with online ordering. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. This place is truly a hidden gem.

While it's got zero space for sit down dining, they are on top of their takeout game. The staff were efficient and filled orders quickly. I found the prices fair, and I look forward to a return visit to try out some other items. I really enjoyed the soup and see they post a new daily soup/pasta item to Facebook. What we tried: - Italiano sub 3/5 (bread was harder/crustier than I would have liked & sub was so wide it was hard to fit your mouth around it) - Chicago roast beef sub 4/5 (hefty amount of beef) - Daily soup (5/5) chicken vegetable (really great flavor and wide assortment of veg with huge chicken chunks) - Carrot cake (5/5) - Tiramisu (5/5).
