a plate of sushi rolls with shrimp
    Nora C.

Came once before, half an hour after the time they're supposed to be open, however the staff was running late and had not yet opened the doors. Nice decor. Strikes me as a "hipster" sushi joint. The sushi is not bad but not great. It's a pretty cheap all you can eat, however with that amount of rice on the rolls and the select rolls that are featured in the "all you can eat" menu being deep fried, there's only so much you can eat. Aside from the food, the staff was friendly and service was decent.

Amazing food and incredible selection. Came on all you can eat and was not disappointed. Best sushi in the city.

Did not like. Sushi didn't seem very fresh. Pricing was very strange for an all you can eat cause so many things were an up charge...

I got the robata sampler: some notable standouts were: -the triggerfish jerky: thin cut and with a hint of sweetness, the fish flavor was delicate and tasty. It reminded me a little of the dried cuttlefish I ate growing up in Hawaii, but a much more refined version - chicken meatball: this was juicy, hearty, and had great flavor. The teriyaki sauce was flavorful without being too sweet - shrimps: these were expertly grilled. They were tender inside, and had a nice hint of charcoal flavor from the grilling - pork belly: this was a great cut of meat. Very decadent and rich, with lots of umami from marinating before grilling We also got some appetizers that were quite serviceable. Overall I'd give this place a 4.5 stars if I could.

We started with chicken karaage bites and calamari. Both had delicious dipping sauces and were nicely fried. Both apps came out very quickly and were hot. I'd give the apps a 4/5. Everyone really enjoyed the udon noodles, most of us got miso butter pan fried. This meal was super flavorful and had a lot of the miso butter! The noodles were perfectly cooked and there were a lot of the extras added on top for additional flavors. The ginger tori soup was also enjoyed. The servers were on top of it, bringing us water carafes and everything we needed quickly. The restaurant is low lit which created a nice vibe. Obsessed with the stained glass entryway! The restaurant is located in the beautiful area of Corktown with the Grand Central Station just steps away, giving you something to do while you wait for your table. Typically very easy to find parking.

I went back up and got a second strawberry and cream sandwich to go, this time with extra strawberries, and let's just say it barely survived the car ride home. To put it in perspective, I drove 40 minutes to try this and I'm trying to figure out any excuse to make it out to Dearborn in the very near future. It's located in a cozy communal food court type of setting with plenty of options. And the service was amazing, I was helped by the lovely Portia who was very kind and did a wonderful job making sure I was happy with my order.

Sushi tacos, you get 2. I tried the marinated salmon. The flavor was good but, FOR ME, I wasn't a fan of the abundance of fish in the taco (it's a texture thing). Aside from that, the taco was still crispy by the time I made it home 14 mins later & packed with flavor. The push up sushi roll was my favorite. Such a cool idea! The Kani (sp) salad was cool too. The crab could have been shredded up more but that's nothing to complain about. Lastly was the strawberry and cream milk bread! Spectacular, give me 14 of em!! I will definitely go back and try the other flavors!
