We have been to the Saint Charles location before, so we were excited when this location opened up a little bit closer to us in Chesterfield. We went this past week for my husband's birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival and sat. We ordered our drinks and received them quickly and then began to review the menu and try to pick out our favorites. My husband and I always go for the edamame as well as crab rangoon because why not? We each ordered a few rolls and all the flavors were fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the whole experience itself was perfect. Definitely would go back to this location and highly recommend others to go as well. Order the edamame with the addition of spicy & garlic - does not disappoint. I loved the Manhattan Roll, perfect blend of flavors and slight heat. My husband really enjoyed the Alaska and Fried Philly Roll. The best sushi in Chesterfield. Sushi boat has a small space, but it's food packs the largest punch. The types of rolls they offer are unique, but you can find your comfort items like a spider or California as well. They do not have Ramen available yet at this location, but I know they will thrive with it on the menu once it arrives. With all the amazing options, I always say save room for their dessert as their Matcha tiramisu is one of the best I've ever had. The service is also want to note as each member of front of House will welcome you at some point during your meal. Boats! Boats! Boats! I am told they have excellent ramen here - did not get to try this, as they had a sign saying ramen was unavailable. I went with the Basil's Chicken (extra ), Takoyaki and the Rock Roll. The roll was beautiful, a crisp wrapping of tender beef and mushroom, topped with crisp onions. The Basil's Chicken was a surprise - a hint of acidic brightness with basil (?holy basil) afternotes. Order of palate - tart, spicy and basil-y. Takoyaki was excellent! What, what a place. Very large menu, fresh ingredients nothing really to complain about. We were there for mid-week lunch, we got seated right away and had drinks on the table within two minutes. Ordering was quick as well, the selection was quite something to go through (pictures) and there is sure to be something for everyone there. Service was good, our server was nice and personable. I visited the Sushi Boat last week for the first time. Walked in to a nicely decorated and inviting restaurant. Quiet, clean, bright. I was greeted promptly with a smile and seated at a booth. I ordered a house sake which she brought quickly along with water. I ordered Miso soup and kept browsing the large menu. When she brought my soup I ordered a Yellowtail & Scallion Rill, Unagi Roll, and Spider Roll. At first glance I thought the process were a bit hight, but that changed when I saw the rolls. I sipped my house saki and enjoyed it nicely. The Miso soup was stellar. Deep layered flavors that filled my taste buds. I could have enjoyed it a second time but rolls to come. One of the best I've had. My rolls arrived and looked awesome. All three were tight and plated well. The rolls were large and packed with the appropriate ingredients. My favorite was the Yellowtail Scalion Roll. The fish was bright and fresh. Perfectly balanced and delicious. My Unagi Roll (one of my favorites) was filled with meaty. Tasty eel. And the eel sauce was deep and rich. That early eel flavor standing out. The Spider Roll was pretty perfect. Plenty of crispy soft shell crab, avocado, and cucumber. The spicy mayo, eel sauce, and Masago rounded out each tasty piece. This was a great meal with great service. A winning combination. I will definitely be back. Sushi boat is the average sushi type restaurant, sadly I did nit find anything to separate them from so many others. On this dining occasion I decided to try their lunch special two sushi rolls and miso soup for $12.95. I had the salmon roll and the spicy tuna roll both were very average in taste nothing standing out about it the rice was well very plain and tasteless like Rice's and mini sushi restaurants the fish was okay. The service was good. The decor was about average for this type of restaurant located within a strip mall shopping center. read more

This is our favorite sushi spot in St. Louis by far and we are so thrilled at how close it is to us. The sushi is all so fresh, the crab rangoons are to die for, and we have yet to have anything else that didn't satisfy us. I got the prairie roll and it was amazing! I also got the Maki C. Yellowtail roll was ok, spicey tuna is really spicey, and spicey salmon was not spicey at all. I'd get the spicey tuna again. The soup was pretty good, I'd get this again. Nice flavor and not overly salty. Unfortunately I'm giving the restaurant a 3 because we ordered online when it said a 60min leadtime and showed up about 90min after order and the food was just sitting out and dying. Put an order in on Friday just before 5:00 and when I get there for pickup they say they're working on it. Restaurant wasn't super busy and the staff didn't seem rushed at all. Finally got my food an hour after placing the order. They did get the order right and the sushi tasted great. We really wanted this to be good on Sat night. Our granddaughter was visit from college. Unfortunately it wasn't what we had hoped for: 1. Fried spring roles (4) were wet on the inside 2. Other other 3 appetizers on the App platter were ok, but lower quality than Trader Joe's we make at home 3. The main problem was 2 of the 4 sushi rolls were prepared incorrectly, the reorder was also incorrect (no cream cheese, no tempura shrimp), we gave up. Food quality was fine. The Ocean roll was pretty good. The Hawaii Roll was ok, but trying too hard to be massive with rice. Dumpling soup was good. No complaint on service or cleanliness. read more

(which we always do) Last night was his birthday and I mentioned it when they asked what our plans were that evening. They brought out a sushi boat with a beautiful display and happy birthday sign! 5 stars for the sushi, but 1 star for service, so puts me at an average of 3 stars. I placed my order online. Their online ordering system is really bad...it doesn't allow you to choose a specific pickup time. Only option is ASAP with an estimated wait time of 1 hour. I had to go to a 1.5 hour meeting, so I placed the order before the meeting thinking it wouldn't be a big deal if I picked it up late. I figured cold sushi would be just fine...however, that was assuming they would store it properly. Unfortunately, when I arrived for pickup, I found my order just sitting out at room temperature on the desk. I asked if it had been in the refrigerator and they said no. They left sushi just sitting out for 30 mins! Thankfully I did not get sick after eating it, but that is just so wrong. How hard is it to keep to go orders in the fridge until pickup. Then to top things off, they forgot to give me my 2nd order of salmon sashimi. I had to make a special trip back up to the restaurant to pick it up. The food on the other hand was great! I loved the mango roll...just as good as drunken fish, which is my fave sushi place. I didn't love the salmon belly sashimi...it was tougher to chew, but the regular salmon sashimi was really good. read more

This was our first visit to Sushi Boat, which washands-down the best sushi in the area! The sashimi deluxe was incredibly fresh and delicious, cut perfectly and generously. The shrimp & veggie tempura was perfectly crispy, cooked well, and not greasy. We also had the salmon arubi from the appetizer menu, which was fantastic. A million roll options make it difficult to choose, but our server recommended the ocean roll because we prefer fish over other fillings. It was a great suggestion; again, it was light and fresh.
