Hmmmm. Im pretty sure I left a review for this place a long time ago. I've been eating here for years, but ill write another review. I love this place and the owner. This definitely is a place of familiarity. Its the place you go to bc its your go-to in town. Its small inside but there is also outdoor seating. Their prices are decent and their specials are very affordable. The sushi is good and the best thing there, their octopus salad. Its tangy, ginger taste, and savory! I used to come here and have a bottle of nigori with the salad, edamame, miso soup and some sort of salmon roll. The owner is so nice and even when I have a lot of drinks, she makes sure I get home safe. This is just a family friendly, great usual spot for sushi. This is a small, home vibe sushi place where tables are close together but the sushi bar is visible from all seating. There is some seating at the sushi bar as well. The place always looks closed because of the window shades but indeed, it's open. Service is good and quick. It seems to be a small staff of a husband and wife and a sushi chef. The food was good. Fresh and tasty. My only disappointment was the thickness of the sushi on top. Unevenly cut in thin/thickness. Much too thick for me and not sliced in sushi tradition. (Seems similar to other comments in the reviews). Food options on the menu include sushi and other traditional Asian dishes offering a variety. We went for sushi and only ordered sushi. The two individuals who appeared to be the owners gave off a frenetic vibe and not interactive with customers. The taste of the fish was good, but the cuts were too thick. When I mentioned that my tuna was too dry and bland, the server returned with a plate of four slices of two cuts of tuna. It was better, and I really appreciated the effort. The eel was almost burned. The plating of my chirashi sushi was unusual. I didn't notice the rice, hidden in the bottom half of the plate under the greens. The miso soup was sub-par, having almost no flavor. The Alaska roll was very good; the California roll had too much crab mix and not enough avocado. read more

Me and my husband were a bit hesitant about trying this place because we were not sure how authentic it was but, this place really surprised us and in a GOOD way! First: We were greeted by a very cute waitress Lydia. She made us feel very welcomed and even helped me decide on a sushi roll. HUBBY ordered the Steak bento and I kept STEALING some of his TEMPURA because it was so good! I told Lydia that I liked seared salmon and she recommended the LION KING roll which was also one of my favorite movies! Interlude: It's the CIRCLE of LIFE and it moves us all! And now back to our regularly scheduled YELP REVIEW. So after eating the steak bento and lion king roll we thought we'd like to try something else too so we ordered the Tempura UDON! I really liked it. I usually eat foods on the salty side so I just added some soy sauce and that really hit the spot for me! Thought we would go out of our box and try something new, never again. 1st walked in was only given one menu with distorted pictures for a party of 5. Waitress was awful she kept talking and hanging out with her friend at the next table came out from the back drinking water and eating a bar like she was on her lunch, when she brought one of our dinner plates out she did it while picking up the phone for the place of business. And, no the place was not busy at all. Our miso soup was the bottom of the pot salty and cold, our edamame looked like it was heated in the microwave with no flavor, our dinner plates with chicken had so much teriyaki sauce only to cover how thin and dry the chicken was on a bed of cold claw, not worth the amount of $$ at all. And if you are into ambiance this is not the place for you. With the amount of $$ spent shout look a little more presentable. Waitress never came over to fill water was too busy talking to her friend. Sushi was ok but the customer service was a -0 because of this would never go back. The place is awful do not waste you $$ oh and while we were sitting finishing up the waitress decided to come with a waste bin and starts cleaning up the table. Very disgusting and unprofessional. Even though it is Korean owned, it comes very close! Two great sushi chefs behind the bar. Beautiful plate arrangements. Lots of good discussion. I'd like to buy them all a beer! We've been to most of the restaurants in this center. Somehow we overlooked Sushi Camp. They've been here at least 15 years. Busy place on Friday night. We walked im at the right time and got a table for four right away. We started off with yellow fin which was the best ever. Went on to a dragon roll which was good also. Our friends had a lobster roll and a dynamite roll. We ended with a mixed tempura. Good service and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back to try out some more. read more

As someone who comes from LA which has an abundance of sushi options/styles, I've developed quite the palate for fresh quality sushi. That's just not the case here. One big give away in any sushi restaurant is the amount of fish they're using on any nigiri. The large piece of salmon on their sake nigiri had me shaking in my boots. Their overly generous serving gave me the impression that they're trying to get rid of as much fish as possible, rather than waste it. The taste on the salmon was off, and did not have quality-like texture. Albacore? The color of the fish looked a little too gray for my liking and put me off for the rest of the meal. And I'm not just a stickler about the sushi. Their bento box was terrible. The rice tasted stale, and the chicken/sauce was bland. Made with no love. The service was below par, as our waitress seemed bothered that we were dining in. Gave us one menu (there was 4 of us), and when asked for a couple of napkins, she only brought one? Considering the price for quality of overall experience, I won't be coming back to this restaurant. You're better off going to Blaze next door. read more

It's difficult not to give this restaurant 5 stars. It's more expensive than most places but I feel like I get my money's worth here. The food is exceptional and the service is fantastic. I've been in about 6-8 times now and everyone has been extremely kind to me. I absolutely LOVE to order the Ultra Dragon roll with an ENTIRE EEL on top. *sigh* I don't even know what to say other than it's perfectly cooked, and well-made. Not every roll has impressed me as much as this one and I hesitate to order other items because it is so pricey and have not really felt like the other rolls match up to the price. But the quality of fish is fresh, the staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, and they've taken very very good care of us. If they lowered their prices, I would probably Need to come here at least once per week. Maybe once per day. I recommend chatting with someone on the staff, getting to know them, try to go on a few dates, and see if you can use their employee discount. If not, just order the Ultra Dragon Roll. If you don't like eel, order it anyway and then tell me where to meet you. My car has a sticker that says "will drive 4 sushii" The extra "i" is a mistake. Honestly I was very optimistic about this place because I'm always looking for new sushi spots locally, but honestly the service was terrible. As a server myself I never judge a servers service, although about server was so inattentive and dismissive I honestly was trying to enjoy myself, but felt so frustrated. She was constantly chatting with a table next to us as if we were never there. I understand they might be regulars, but as a new customer along with my family of 5, we felt very dismissed. She came out eating and drinking her water with her table next to us as if she was off the clock and at the end of our dinner she approached our table with the bussing bucket and asked if she could pick up our plates. I understand if you ask to remove plates from the table but approaching the table with the bussing bucket is completely out of pocket and disrespectful to someone who spent good money at a restaurant. The teriyaki bowl portions were terrible (burnt chicken with a lot of teriyaki). The sushi rolls were the only okay part and thank god they have alcohol. High price low quality. It's always a treat to find amazing eateries down the street from your home It was about an hour before closing when we got a sudden craving for sushi! We came in and the place is nice half full. Good sign. We got a nice young waitress who was helpful in answering our questions about certain rolls. We gave her our order and the food came out quickly. It was very good. Unfortunately, they forgot to prepare a couple of things and when we realized that they didn't bring it out, the sushi chefs were cleaning up and didn't want to go through the trouble of making mire food. Our waitress seemed frustrated with them as I could see them arguing. Luckily, we were full anyways and no harm was done But... My partner and I were craving sushi and decided to give Sushi Camp a try. A close friend of ours recommended this spot, so we thought why not finally go here. We arrived on a Tuesday during happy hour (which is all day) so we were pretty happy with the prices. We ordered a golden California roll, crunch, rainbow, Oh! my Sweetie, and a regular Cali Roll. Normally the rainbow roll would be $15.99, but during happy hour it is reduced to $11.99. Overall, the service was wonderful. We were the only ones present since it was 4:10pm so the waitress attended to our needs and checked on us frequently. We didn't feel rushed which was great. Ambiance: The ambiance was pretty quiet. Again, we got there when they just opened so not many people were present. Why 2 Stars? Coming from an island, I am very particular with my seafood, especially fish quality. When I ate the rainbow roll, the salmon tasted great, but the quality of the other fish tasted really poor. There was an overwhelming fishy taste in my mouth that made me lose my appetite. I'm usually very fond of sushi, so this was unusual for me. I tried the Oh! my Sweetie sushi that we ordered as well which used the same fish. Similar to the rainbow roll, it also had a weird taste coming from the fish used as a topping. The crunch and California roll were fine. In addition, I also noticed that after eating the California roll, everything else looked pretty similar to Cali rolls with the exception of additional fish. read more

We visited Japan last year and since then have struggled finding a spot similar in quality to the ones we are abroad. With that said if you want to experience really fresh fish, and flavors that feel both authentic but also American this is the spot. My favorite to go appetizer is the Yellowtail Carpaccio- you can ask for it even if not featured on the board. My partner loves the Mexican Roll. The Ichiban is a quick crowd pleaser. It was supposed to have soy paper around it, but I think our chef forgot. Next time, we will remind him :) This is a wonderful sushi haven in the Inland Empire where sometimes getting sushi can be suspect. But, not here. We come when we can and love it every time! Immediately I sense attitude and frustration from the hostess and helps to move a chair over. Give us one menu. Now this menu looks like it's on its last leg. And some prices are scratched out. Changed? Idk Comes back about 2 minutes later after giving the menu to ask if we are ready. ( starting to feel rushed and she still has attitude) We finally order. Rolls slowly come in.. we are still missing 2 rolls and it's been 40 minutes since we ordered. And all other guest that came in after us have been served. I ask them to cancel the two rolls. The food was great, the service was great too. My daughter and I ate a couple different rolls, tempura and miso soup, and it was great. They obviously have lots of locals who come in and enjoy. The only thing I think they could improve on is the decor. If they did a couple huge murals, and updated the lighting to make it more cozy, and less like a cafeteria, I think it would go a long way.
