I tried this place for the first--and last--time, all in a single visit. When our party placed our orders, everyone at the table received their food except me. I reminded the waitress that part of my order was missing. Forty-five minutes later, when I finally managed to get her attention again, I had to repeat the same reminder. Another fifteen minutes passed before a second waitress came by, and we informed her that I was still waiting on my order. Meanwhile, every table around us--and everyone else in my own party--continued receiving their food without issue. Shortly afterward, the second waitress returned to tell me they were "currently making more rice." More rice? How does an all you can eat sushi restaurant run out of rice in the middle of service? When my food finally arrived, the portion was noticeably smaller than what others at my table had received earlier. I ordered several additional items afterward. While they didn't take another hour to arrive, the entire experience still kept my group sitting there for over two hours. To make matters worse, the food itself was mediocre--some dishes were extremely hot, others were barely lukewarm. The service was poor from start to finish, and despite all of this, our group of four was forced to pay an outrageous $81 because an automatic 18% gratuity is added to parties of six or more at a table. I am not someone who expects special treatment or acts entitled, but due to the excessive wait, missing food, and consistently poor service, my meal should have been comped, and the automatic tip should never have been applied. Had the food been excellent and the service attentive, I wouldn't have hesitated to pay the $81--honestly, I would have likely tipped above 20%. We had enough time to fill out the the lunch menu and go over it 3 times before we noticed we still didn't have our drinks. We waited another 4-5 minutes while making eye contact with the staff as they walked by and noticed we were ready and still didn't not have any drinks but continued to walk. Located near the intersection of Lee Highway and Shallowford, the restaurant is pretty easy to find. It is a stand-alone building in a large shopping center/ strip mall area. There are several entrances to the shopping center, but once you are making your way to the restaurant, watch for other traffic going to other areas. The traffic lanes and parking spaces seem to be taken more as suggestions. Once you get near the restaurant, however, traffic settles down. There are plenty of spaces adjacent to the building as well as others across a traffic lane. There are a couple handicapped spaces near the door. Walking in, you enter a larger waiting area but it is not really separate from the seating area. The overall seating area is quite large. We were seated quickly in the rear section, which kept us away from most of the foot traffic. Our server quickly brought or drink order and explained the ordering process. While you can order a la cart, most customers seemed to be doing the "all you can eat sushi and hibachi", as were we. Each person gets a card listing all available items on the "all you can eat" menu. The other side lists the rules. Although there are a number of rules, all are reasonable, and clearly spelled out. If you are unsure about anything, just ask your server. Probably the most important thing to remember is eat everything you order, or you will receive a surcharge for what you do not eat. Another important rule is the food comes out as it is prepared. If you require an appetizer before you receive an entree, let your server know, but be prepared to wait a bit longer. As for the food, I was rather impressed. The several appetizers we ordered were all piping hot when arriving at our table. Taste was average to good, which is hard to complain about at a "fast food-type" sushi place. Even better, all the sushi items ordered (and there is a large array available) were good to excellent. We sampled a good portion of the options and never found anything we did not like due to freshness. All items were properly assembled and tasted as would be expected. Most orders arrived within five minutes from being picked up by our server. While there were a few times we had to wait more than five minutes to receive our latest order, none took more than ten minutes to arrive. Even though this is more of a fast food sushi place, the food itself is quite good. It's probably better if you are not in a hurry, but if you have a desire to spend time with family/ friends and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a wide variety of sushi choices, this is your place. read more

We decided to give this place a try today because we really love sushi. The sushi we tried was really the only redeeming thing about our experience. We were sat right next to speakers that were blaring rap music. Someone eventually turned it down but the music selection stayed the same. I enjoy listening to rap music sometimes but I'm confused about why restaurant owners don't seem to understand ambiance. The servers in the restaurant kind of seemed to have an apathetic attitude. The particular server we had was nice. We ordered a house salad, spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll, and shrimp tempura roll. After ordering the house salad, the server quickly returned to tell us that it would not be served as described. Not sure what that meant. We enjoyed the first half of the salad but were disappointed to find sitting water in the bottom of our bowl. The spicy tuna roll was one of the best spicy tuna rolls I've ever had. There are several bad reviews for this place, but I did not experience any of the issues mentioned. It's a fairly new restaurant, so maybe those issues have been resolved. I actually really enjoyed the food, and the service was good. The server made sure we understood how everything worked; It's about $23 for all you can eat. That includes all the varieties of sushi, apps, hibachi, etc. The menu is huge, and they bring you small portions, except with sushi rolls(you get a whole roll). I went with my brother and his wife, and between the three of us, we tried almost all the specialty rolls. All were delicious. We each got at least 3-4 rolls, and shared several appetizers, and hibachi. They do charge a small fee if you order more than you eat to reduce waste. I had no issue with that, as it helps them keep their prices low, and they only bring small portions to you anyway. You can order as many times are you like, so we just ordered a couple things at a time. Our food was ready relatively quickly, even though it was a busy Saturday night. When I called the restaurant to rectify the situation, they could not find their copy of the receipt. I had to come in person and get my stolen tip money back in cash. The Godzilla roll, Fantastic roll, Tempura roll, Tempura shrimp (my order), and yakitori were all good; the California roll was bland, the gyoza was burned, the cheese wonton were tough and flavorless, the house salad dressing was not good, my wife's Tempura shrimp was awful, and the hot and sour soup was fairly mediocre. The biggest issue was how long it took to get my food. I ordered two rolls and two pieces of nigiri. It took over 1.5 hours to get my food. The waitress was very busy and ran around non-stop.
