The menu was pretty big in terms of rolls, but I was surprised to see that while they didn't have udon, they did have katsu and hibachi. The special deals are pretty good. It is barely just worth it to go with the special rather than ordering outside of it, but the prices in general are pretty good anyways. I really loved the clear soup, it was the perfect saltiness while also feeling pretty clean. The ginger dressing salad was whatever. The dressing was good, but it was literally just over lettuce. The rolls were all really good and pretty filling. The fish tasted decently fresh to me! And the chicken katsu was the perfect mix of crispy and juicy. SIL brought us here after we were out shopping. It's right around the corner from where they live and they said it's their "Go To" sushi place nearby. We arrived about 1pm on a Friday. Nice Lunch Specials! Good price for the amount of food you get, in my opinion. I got the Steak and Shrimp hibachi. Very flavorful! And I loved that the steak wasn't overcooked, I usually order medium. Shrimp was good, not rubbery. Veggies weren't soggy - just right. It came with clear soup and ginger salad, both yum. I also got a Spicy Krab roll (I told you I was hungry), I didn't taste the spicy much, maybe I'm just used to spice. It had crunchy dry stuff which I didn't care for, but it was still good. Mom had the Chicken Lunch Box with grilled vegetables, fried rice, and Philly Roll. She liked it, she even finished it, which is rare for her. Haha. I did help with some of her roll. Good food. Good specials Horrendous service. I really don't want to dwell on this, but it's a cute restaurant, and a great location and the food is good. and seems to be a good value. But when you combine it with how horrible the service was, and how bad of an attitude our waitress had, I don't know that anything makes up for that. I really got tired of asking for more of this or "hey remember we asked for that", it just felt like we were disturbing someone's day when we ask for shrimp sauce, which a squeeze bottle was on most every table, but ours (my point is, we're not asking for too much). Second time coming back! I ordered take out again, but this time stuck to more simple rolls - Alaskan roll and spicy tuna roll, plus salmon sushi and chicken fried rice (to save for lunch for the next day). The Alaskan roll was good, nice and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was so much spicier than I was expecting so I wasn't the biggest fan (if you like pretty spicy food you would probably enjoy it!). The salmon sushi was yummy and buttery. The chicken fried rice reheated well with a wet paper towel over the top and hit the spot. Overall, after 2 tries at Sushi House 2, I think it's a solid 4. It feels wrong to give it a 5 when I haven't loved any meals, but I do want to try some more. read more

I just gotta say hats off to our server. She was so impressive. She was the hostess: taking temperatures, seating guests, taking phone calls. She was the server: taking orders, refilling waters, bussing tables, cashing guests out. And not once was I ever like "ugh my food is taking forever" or "man I wish I had more water". My hubbs got the Spicy sashimi app-the menu says it's spicy but he was it wasn't and the cucumber mellows it's out. I'm not sure what that means as he never let me try his food -_- but I told him I'd add in his excerpt. Ha I got the squid salad and while the presentation was beautiful, the taste was very, blah. I only order sushi rolls so I cannot comment on the hibachi items or the sashimi items( Not that I would not order these but my preference are the sushi rolls). The Jay roll was very good but my salmon katsu roll didn't seem to match the description. Regardless they both hit the spot and fulfilled my craving. I would highly recommend Sushi House 2 as a lunch option, even though it is surrounded by a plethora of restaurants. My party walked into a clean restaurant, and we were helped almost immediately. The waitress gave us their full menu and lunch special menu; even when we had trouble with the lunch menu, she had patience in helping and waiting for us to fully complete our orders. The lunch special includes three sushi rolls (excluding specialties) for $10, but you can pay a certain upcharge for specific rolls. This lunch special also has a kitchen menu, but my party mainly ordered sushi. I would highlight that food from the kitchen comes faster than sushi. When the rolls came out, I was delighted to see the size of them. Each roll had about eight pieces, unless specified otherwise. The fried rolls were a perfect combination of crispy, while retaining the softness of rice/seafood. Throughout the meal, our server was very attentive with refilling drinks and any other requests, such as asking for spicy mayo or hot sauce. We were actually in and out of the restaurant pretty quickly. After using their website to place the order, the lady at the store called me within two minutes to provide a confirmed pickup time (10 minutes) and remind me where they were located. When I arrived my rolls were packed and ready to go, and it took all of 60 seconds to check out. This prego lady was so hungry I admittedly ate half of my food in the car before I left the parking lot, and it was pretty tasty! First and probably last visit to Sushi House 2 yesterday. I was desperate for some grub after hours of xmas shopping and sushi house caught my eye, and yelp reviews were encouraging. This place does a huge takeout business and their in house customers greatly suffer. One waitress attended the entire restaurant, which by the time I was eating was pretty full. I think the dinner special of 3 rolls for $20 draws in the crowd. However the service and getting my food was PAINFULLY slow (as I watched tons of orders be packed up for takeout.) My sweet tea tasted weird- not sure if it was old, or an unclean glass or what, but it made me uneasy. The spicy tuna salad had pretty presentation but was way too spicy (I've ordered this at numerous sushi restaurants and it's never that hot.) I ordered more sushi and some noodles & vegetables at the same time, and I was done eating the noodles and waited another 10 mins for my 5 pieces of salmon and 1 shrimp tempura roll with krab salad. When the sushi finally arrived the salmon were nice large thick cuts, but had weird indentations on them from the packaging it was stored in. (Again I order salmon sushi every where i go and it's never been presented to me like that.) The quality of the sushi was good... but based on my experience tonight I probably will not return. I should have ordered take out. I ordered the special "pick two" sushi rolls for $13.99 but they do also offer a "pick three" for $19.99. Not a bad deal if you're asking me but not a really amazing deal either. I waited for a little while, had a bowl of soup, and then finally my sushi was delivered. It looked great, but what happened next is where I lost it... After my sushi was dropped off it's like the kitchen called break time. Two of the staff members came and sat down at the sushi bar next to me and began to eat their dinner. It is located in a town center that has many restaurant options such as Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Changs, so this is one of the smaller, forgotten restaurants. The actual building is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, featuring low lighting and different colored light strips as decoration. I ordered the sashimi lunch special, which was about $10. The portions were great, with a total of 5 pieces of sashimi, 3 pieces of nigiri, and a California Roll. The quality was also great, some of the best sashimi that I've had for that low price. There was only one other occupied table which I found odd for Sunday lunch time. We ordered a miso soup, clear soup, both were ok. We then ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura. The batter was too thick making the vegetables underneath soggy, but it was edible. The shrimp were not. The were long and skinny with a very fishy taste. I broke it apart and I've never seen a rolled, compacted, skinny shrimp that was 4 inches long. I'm wondering if they use them from the left over sushi? We couldn't eat it. I also ordered the spicy tuna salad. There was a large bed of shredded cucumber, tuna drenched in sriracha sauce and a table spoon of seaweed salad on top. It was honestly the worst dish I've ever had in a Japanese restaurant. I took one bite and couldn't eat it, my daughter also tried it. For rolls we got the California, mango tango and lobster.
