Good food. Good specials Horrendous service. I really don't want to dwell on this, but it's a cute restaurant, and a great location and the food is good. and seems to be a good value. But when you combine it with how horrible the service was, and how bad of an attitude our waitress had, I don't know that anything makes up for that. I really got tired of asking for more of this or "hey remember we asked for that", it just felt like we were disturbing someone's day when we ask for shrimp sauce, which a squeeze bottle was on most every table, but ours (my point is, we're not asking for too much). The food was fine, but there are restaurants out there that seem to enjoy their customer, this just isn't one of them.

To keep it simple, I get the same thing every time. I get the New Orleans Rolls along with the Rainbow Rolls. They've been consistently good. The customer service has always been great and I love the dim lighting inside which gives it a relaxing type vibe. It's worth a visit!

Came in for lunch and was very pleased! Ordered the chicken box which was actually quite a bit of food - filled me up easily and was delicious. Service was quick though I think staff aren't particularly the friendliest, but definitely not a huge deterrent. Lots of seating inside - no wait for a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of parking since it's in a large shopping plaza. Overall would recommend!

It was ok. We got seated right away for lunch place was really nice on set up on how it looked. There was places like the restaurant looked like it was a work in progress. We had 3 rolls for lunch. Clear soup to start off. There was a good selection of rolls to choose from. When the platter came out, the rolls looked kind of small. It was ok. Just nothing to say yay! Wouldn't be my first choice for sushi.

We went in for lunch since we are dropping off my son for college! It is very close to UNF! The restaurant is small but fit a lot of tables! We got greeted right away and sat down! The decors is simple but yet comfortable! Both me and my husband ordered lunch box and I have steak and he got chicken! My son got the 3 sushi for the lunch special! The staff are friendly! Food came out super fast and they were yummy! My lunch box has salad (I opted for ginger dressing), California rolls (or u can choose Philly rolls), tempura veggies (or u can choose grilled veggies), fried rice (or u can choose white rice) and the steaks! The California rolls are very delicious and the tempura are very very good too and well seasoned! Fried rice are very yummy too! Steak are just right! Overall it is very good!

Second time coming back! I ordered take out again, but this time stuck to more simple rolls - Alaskan roll and spicy tuna roll, plus salmon sushi and chicken fried rice (to save for lunch for the next day). The Alaskan roll was good, nice and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was so much spicier than I was expecting so I wasn't the biggest fan (if you like pretty spicy food you would probably enjoy it!). The salmon sushi was yummy and buttery. The chicken fried rice reheated well with a wet paper towel over the top and hit the spot. Overall, after 2 tries at Sushi House 2, I think it's a solid 4. It feels wrong to give it a 5 when I haven't loved any meals, but I do want to try some more.

Squid Salad- Not that good. Would not recommend.

I just gotta say hats off to our server. She was so impressive. She was the hostess: taking temperatures, seating guests, taking phone calls. She was the server: taking orders, refilling waters, bussing tables, cashing guests out. And not once was I ever like "ugh my food is taking forever" or "man I wish I had more water". She was more on top of it tHan servers that do 1/4th her workload! She was a better server than I ever was thats for sure! So, now that I got my impressiveness out of the way. The food here was good. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but good! I'm just happy there's a sushi place that actually opened up so it definitely gets our business. We went to two others before coming here but they had signs saysing to call to order-yeah no. They lost us as customers. So thanks Sushi House for actually opening up! The shrimp tempura was very good! Not overly fried, so that's appreciated. Three skinny shrimp and some veggies. I do wish it were more shrimp, or at least fatter shrimp, but hey, at least it was yummy. My hubbs got the Spicy sashimi app-the menu says it's spicy but he was it wasn't and the cucumber mellows it's out. I'm not sure what that means as he never let me try his food -_- but I told him I'd add in his excerpt. Ha I got the squid salad and while the presentation was beautiful, the taste was very, blah. It tasted a little old maybe? As some of the squid pieces were hard. I just wouldn't recommend anyone get this. As for sushi I got the BMW, and east coast roll. I didn't think the BMW was that spicy, but I love spicy food. And the east coast was very mellow. I WAS able to snag a bite of my hubbs Hero roll which was VERY good! Probably our favorite! We will definitely come back for the excellent service. And the fact that it seems to be the only sushi place open during COVID. We are excited to try the other foods it has to offer!

The food is always super delicious and the staff is super fast and friendly. There's never a long wait I'm usually in and out pretty fast.

As soon as we walked in, we were seated immediately. The server brought us complimentary soup and it was full of flavor. I ordered the Spicy Krab Roll and the Spicy Shrimp Roll, they weren't spicy but still tasted fresh and really good!! The only down side to my dining experience here was that we felt rushed out of the restaurant. The server immediately brought the check while we were still eating and we felt unwelcome.

The food was good an fair priced. Only feedback I would provide is on the smell is off putting. Not sure what's causing this but something the staff needs to look into.

Calamari appetizer. Maybe because I took it to go but I wouldn't order this again.
    Edward A.

Great job on a recent to go order for a quick and fresh sushi lunch. As this place is close to work - on the outskirts of the Town Center, this will easily be added to the regular lunch rotation. I started with a salt and pepper calamari which was super chewy. This may be attributed to the fact that it was a to go order so I may try it again if dining in. The Jay roll was very good but my salmon katsu roll didn't seem to match the description. Regardless they both hit the spot and fulfilled my craving. Online ordering worked flawlessly so that's an added plus for me.

The manager caught onto what was happening and did offer us a starter to compensate for that, which was nice. Unfortunately the service still felt lacking throughout. I saw my drink sit at the bar for quite a while while my husband sipped his beer. The server was super sweet, but not as attentive as I'd expect especially since it wasn't busy. The fish tasted fresh and mostly everything was really good. My favorites were the drama queen roll, the blood orange akami, and the truffle unagi roll. I wouldn't get the truffle enoki mushrooms again- the texture was off (chewy/stringy). The cocktail I got was the nori margarita and didn't feel it was anything special. The glass and straw it was served in was kind of throwing it off for me. I'd go a different drink route next time. I liked the vibe of the restaurant and felt like the ambience was great for date night. It had a sexy feel. I wish there was music or if there was I didn't notice it, because I could hear everything the table next to me was saying. They also brought a refreshing treat for my husband's birthday. We'd be open to coming back.

We were bringing the whole family and hoping for a fun night, but unfortunately the experience didn't match the ratings. From the start, the tone felt off. When I called to make the reservation, the host immediately said, "We don't seat incomplete parties. We only wait 5 minutes or we give the table away." The policy itself is understandable, but the delivery came across harsh and unwelcoming. A more thoughtful approach like, "We kindly ask that your full party arrives within 5 minutes, otherwise we may need to seat other guests," would have felt very different. When we arrived early and asked if we could be seated sooner (with the rest of our party just minutes away), we were met with the same response again, which felt unnecessary given that there were several empty tables. Unfortunately, the service inside didn't improve. Our initial waiter was inattentive and at times dismissive. We had to ask for basic things like utensils and plates for shared appetizers, and the responses often came with an unwelcoming tone. At one point, when I asked for a plate and knife to share, the interaction became uncomfortable, and I ended up asking to speak with someone. The situation was handled poorly, and the waiter did not return. On the food side, I ordered the Massaman chicken curry at the lowest spice level, and it was still too spicy to enjoy. That said, most of my family did enjoy their meals, which I appreciated. Thankfully, a different waitress stepped in later and was kind and attentive--if the service had been like that from the beginning, the experience likely would have been very different. I also spoke with the manager, Jorge, who was receptive to the feedback and said he would address the issues, which I did appreciate. Overall, I was really disappointed given the strong reviews and the lively atmosphere happening around us. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't return.

We sat in our favorite spot at the bar window so our server also appeared the be working behind the bar and was busy making drinks. We love sake and usually get a bottle of the Noble Arrow. We asked for a recommendation and the server recommended the Soul of the Sensei, which is $107 for the bottle. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary so we went for it. He said it was on the dry side, but we found it very unexpectedly sweet, almost like a moskato wine. It wasn't surprising when we read the back of the label and saw the flavor profile was all the way on the fruity side, with notes of Muscat grape. We definitely made a mistake by not tasting it first, so we ended up asking for a bag to take it home and ordered 2 glasses of the Noble Arrow. It was a disappointing start. Next we ordered the yellowtail carpaccio, which was very good, although the size of the fish pieces overall seemed smaller than usual. Everything we ordered over the evening was undeniably tasty, but small. We got the Usuzukuri salmon and when they brought it, they had the tuna carpaccio as well. The person who brought it said it was a gift. Later, we were charged $2 on the bill for the "gift." It's not much, but it's just that giving us a gift and then putting a charge on the bill for it was very strange. Overall, I still love the food at O-Ku, but this was not the best experience. We had gone there previously for our anniversary and they made it feel special. This time there wasn't any kind of recognition besides possibly the "gift" we had to pay extra for. And the service was so slow that we ended up drinking the bottle of sake we didn't like rather than waiting for another drink order. Every place will have its off nights, and this unfortunately seemed to be one of them. I would still recommend going there, because even though the portions are tiny and expensive, the taste is delicious.
