Third visit here and still loving it. The fish is fresh and delicious and the portions are great for the price. Started with the miso soup. Salty and delicious in all the right ways with seaweed and bits of tofu. Followed that up with seaweed salad and fried soft shell crab. The seaweed salad was light and fresh and very tasty. The soft shell crab was spectacular. Crispy but not oily at all. The sauce they serve is freaking amazing it enhances the crab but does not overpower it at all. Really just spectacular. We had the sashimi boat for 2. So much fish and all exceptionally fresh and light. The real star though is the bbq eel. By far the smallest portion on the boat but just sublime. Maybe the best I've ever had. Service as always is just sort of ok, but with food this good it's a forgivable flaw. Definitely worth a stop. Just be aware they are sometimes overwhelmed with to go orders and service can be exceptionally slow. If you are in a hurry don't stop here. Sushi is on point! I wouldn't have ventured to this place if it hadn't been for another stop we made just down the plaza. Just walking by, the placed looked really plain, no appeal except for the big sign that says "sushi" But jeeez! I'm impressed. Never judge by the outside. That Japanica Roll. I wanted to try a different sushi place and found this little gem on my delivery app. The menu had some interesting items but I just stuck to my favorite simple rolls, the Spicy Tuna Roll and the JB Roll (smoked salmon and cream cheese). I figured that if these didn't hit the spot for me then there would be no point in trying anything else. These were pretty good! Didn't find anything special about it & actually it was a bit too crunchy/hard for me. I like mine a bit soft towards the middle. The sushi is good! Not overpriced. Came out decently quickly. Tasted what sushi is supposed to taste like & I didn't find anything to complain about in terms of fish quality. We normally get it to go & it's one of our go-to for sushi takeout but decided to dine in this time. Glad to say it tastes just as fresh even with takeout. I placed my order through postmates, great delivery, received my food and began eating my 'Rick roll'. By the 3rd piece which is the MIDDLE of the sushi roll, I found a curly black hair poking out of the batter of the tempura shrimp. I called to speak with a manager which I was denied. When I asked for the manager's name I was told "it doesn't matter, he's not in". I was then placed on hold for over 5 minutes, hung up to call again and was told to wait because there was someone on the other line. The lady I spoke with was incredibly disrespectful and rude. Not only did I have a hair in my $9 sushi roll, I was not offered a new one nor was I able to speak to a manager or even get the manager's name for when I call back later. I got my refund through postmates for the sushi roll thank god, though I will NOT be returning due to the lack of customer service and care. Ps. The hair looked like it was in the tempura batter. God knows how many other orders have the same thing in them. Body hair in food is not acceptable and disgusting, ESPECIALLY during a disease epidemic. When I walked behind the wall to the ladies room, there was a cart stacked with 3 trays of dirty dishes out in the open. When I opened the door to where the single stall was, the wall paint was peeling badly as if from water damage & the light was much dimmer. Yikes, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. :( BUT the sushi guy was our front where I could everything & it looked clean and fresh, so I didn't think anymore about the 3rd world country bathroom. So sushi it was. I noticed their are numbered rolls on the main menu that were missing from the sushi menu so I couldn't check them. Anyway, I ordered the double spice shrimp roll from the main menu & the waiter just wrote in the number on the form instead. Sushi rolls come with soup here? Score. The clear onion soup was tasty and almost perfectly filled the waiting time to get my sushi roll. It was tasty & huge for $6.95. My suggestions? For a while we frequented sushi house 2 and unfortunately it has slipped in quality leaving me disappointed. So... I decided to give sushi house a go and wasn't disappointed since finding them I have been numerous times and I never leave disappointed.
