I love supporting mom and pop shops, but this place was just mediocre. We ordered: 1. Two beef teriyaki bulgogi ($16.95/each for lunch pricing). It's unfortunate that the miso soup wasn't included for dine-in (they include it for take out only). This was a great portion, but a typical flavor. Nothing too special about this. 2. Crunch tuna roll ($13.95). Honestly, this was very plain and basic. This was just a California roll with spicy tuna & crunch bits on top. I normally love California rolls and spicy tuna, but it tasted a bit dry and not fresh. I would skip this. Ambiance: Small restaurant with only 2-3 table for dine in. I can tell this place is more known for to-go orders. Service: Very sweet and friendly, but a little slow even though we were the only table there. Our water wasn't checked for refills until she came to give us the check. Overall, I would skip the crunch tuna roll here (maybe other rolls are better) and stick with the beef bulgogi or possibly other items on the menu. read more

I love how it's a family owned and they love serving their customers. The restaurant is beautiful has beautiful fisherman vibe and aesthetics a beautiful whale light and nets and it's not that big but it sits a couple of people. A hidden mom&pop sushi spot right under my nose in Fort Lee! I found it by accident while visiting the pharmacy next door and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Chirashi ($15.95) and Hwedupbap ($14.95) to kind of get the Japanese & Korean take of the same idea (= sashimi on a bed of rice) and I think I preferred the Chirashi a bit more because it does not have all the vegetables et al. so has more fish quantity and because the hwedupbap, while tasty, was about 30% too little compared to other hwedupbaps in the area. But to be fair, it's also $2-3 cheaper. The fish quality was very fresh and was pleasant to eat, however and I am looking forward to trying many of their rolls. The owners kindly informed me when I was taking menu photos that they have a website and the prices are current there but that the menu prices have not been updated yet. So though $12.95 hwedupbap would've been GREAT, $14.95 ain't bad either. Support your local, serious-business sushi joint! Recommended. read more

I placed an order for delivery through grubhub a few weeks ago and have been meaning to do a review. I ordered around 6:30-7:00PM. The restaurant called to confirm the delivery and stated that if there were any issues with delivery that they would give me a call so we could figure how out how we would get the food. I really appreciated that. However, after an hour of waiting I called to follow up with them to make sure everything was okay and no answer. I called multiple times after with no response. I even messaged them through yelp. Nonetheless, followed up with grubhub--they said the restaurant closed and the driver arrived after closing time. I'm not sure why it allowed me to place an order if it couldn't account for the 60-90 minutes prep/delivery. It would've been nice if they followed up with a phone call as they had before to let me know. I would've been disappointed but understood the circumstances. Sadly, I never heard back.
