I've really enjoyed grabbing lunch here while I'm out and about. I'm not sure what they were like…read morebefore COVID, but it's take-out only, despite having a reasonably large space. They'll usually have the orders sitting on a table near the front door, while the employees tend to hang out way in the back by the kitchen. There are lots of tables and surface space, which are basically open storage for to-go containers and things like that. As far as their sushi, it's some of the best I've had in town. I'm not an expert by any means, but I've come by plenty of times for some sushi between meals. Impromptu sushi runs like this are great for celebrating good days, or mourning bad ones. I love the packaging they use, but I usually wish I had asked for so much more soy sauce and wasabi than they gave me. There's a lot of great stuff on this menu I can't recommend enough. The entrées and other food items I'm not as crazy about. Pricewise, there are a lot of great deals. I love getting sushi and gyoza and a basic salad or miso soup with whatever I order. I will say though of all the entrées I've tried, the one that really grabbed me was the teriyaki salmon. So perfectly crispy and they really nailed it with the sauce. The chicken katsu was pretty plain. And the beef curry was incredibly bland, and the beef was pretty tough. I didn't even save my leftovers from that, it just wasn't a good choice. My girlfriend is Korean, and we usually avoid ordering Korean stuff since we make it all the time at home and can almost always make it better. I wanted to try something Korean for the review, so we threw in some Budae Jjigae on top of one of our orders. It was actually made really well. It tasted a lot like something we would have made at home, just minus most of the spice. You have to try the sushi, that's not optional. And even if the other food isn't the best in town, there's some good combos that will leave you with good variety at a great price.

Daytime Hollow is all light through the big windows, happy grown humans, beasts, kids sometimes. Daytime is for morning beverages and baked deliciousness and sandwiches I think later. I haven't tried the food after noon, Just the morning fare. And it's splendid. So many pretty people. I favor the darker Hollow, it's like the woods with owls about. And. Appropriately, I believe, I favor the Black Manhattan, for all the same reasons. Cozy, maybe a half dozen ish tables and as many bar seats. Maybe seven bar seats. My mind's eye is fuzzy. Enough to populate the forest but in a campfire kind of way. Those seeing to your food and drink are attentive, friendly, know many of the folks inside but not me. As I am furtive. The menu changes often and each and every dish I've sampled has been delicious. Price point is very reasonable for what's presented. It's a date night, an evening w friends, by yourself with a book (what's a book), all are welcome, all are comfortable. A speakeasy without a secret word, woods with friendly owls, off a dark but inviting street in what's an ever evolving Delhi downtown. Go.

Let me cut to the chase and say this was the most amazing food at the evening happy hour. Potatoes, fried and duck fat with a great seasoning, a mushroom dish, just the most flavorful and intense delicious bites ever. Several dishes just became a dinner of appetizers. Ambience was very pleasant. Great example of a Gastro pub dining. Friendly locals and a diverse crowd as well as servers. I loved it.

I ordered the Crab Rangoon roll which was still warm by the time it arrived. These rolls were fun and something a little different than what I would normally order at other places. I found they had some larger variety than other restaurants as well and options on the menu i've never seen offered elsewhere! Salmon is always my favorite so I had to add a simple salmon roll to my order as well. I love sushi, I think I could eat it everyday, but I have a pretty high standard and I would say this definitely meets my bar! I haven't been overly impressed with many other sushi spots in the area but I would definitely go here again!

I had gotten takeout once and this was the first time eating in. Don't look at the place too closely inside, it's not the most appetizing place to eat in. Things were a bit hit or miss. We didn't love the seaweed salad, the Crab Delight appetizer, or the Dancing Eel Roll. We did love the Rainbow Roll, California Roll, and the Boston Roll. Miso soup, shrimp tempura, and Dynamite Roll were also good. So now we know what we like and don't like so next time we know what we'd be getting more of. It was fun to try somewhere new and now won't always wonder.

I explained I was waiting for my train later that night. They initially thought I was asking if I could wait inside the restaurant without ordering, but even then, they were more than happy to let me wait there. Second, the food is AMAZING! I ordered the bento box, which came with fries, seaweed salad, miso soup, your choice of sushi (I got avocado & salmon), and your choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp tempura (I got shrimp tempura). If I'm being 100% truthful, these were one of the crispiest fries I've ever eaten! The seaweed salad was so crunchy and yummy, the shrimp tempura was very flavorful especially with the sauce. The miso soup was the right amount of salty and the sushi, well, it was sushi; it was AWESOMEE. I genuinely don't have any complaints about this place. I will say it was a bit cold in there, but that's what jackets are for :). It was spacious and well decorated. I would definitely visit again, there are so many options to choose from!! (They have Thai food as well, along with drinks and desserts). Possibly on of my favorite Japanese restaurants that I've tried! Please do visit if you ever get the chance.

I was promptly seated, the staff and server were all super friendly. There were only a few other diners, so it was pretty peaceful. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was exactly what I needed! She asked me how spicy I prefer, which was appreciated since I'm not the most tolerant of spicy food. I heard a ton of to-go orders come in over the phone while I was dining and saw some delicious sushi rolls come out for those orders, so made a mental note to come back and check out the sushi! Overall, great place for a solid lunch in Utica, especially if you're craving pad thai.
