Our favorites are Jalapeño hamachi, egg and scallion fried rice, crab rangoons and pretty much everything else. Bartenders are attentive and the customers are friendly. Would have left but no hope of getting seated with 9 people anywhere else on NYE. Waited 1/2 hour before waitress took drink orders.... Another long wait for food orders. One of our party couldn't take any more and left abruptly. Food quality - fair. Huge rice portions, small meat portions. Chef practically threw portions on our plates...food falling in drink cups and all over counter & chef picking a pieces that fell on counter and tossed onto plate...ew. We were seated in an additional room with 2 hibachi grills that was also used as a storage room. Unsightly Boxes of supplies were haphazardly stacked along far wall. Cobwebs stretched from ceiling to grill vent canopy. Ended up being late to following reservations at live music venue and lost our table. Been going to Ginger Gardens past 16 years -when it was Fuji Gardens on NYE. This is second year NYE service was terrible. Gave them benefit of doubt last year; Will not go back. They are trying to please too many and don't have adequate staffing. Really put a damper on our festivitie; hope that's not a precursor to the new year.

I came here with my family along with 2 other families since they were doing specials B1G1 50% off hibachi. - service was decent, we were the only table for hibachi. - tables and plates were sticky, it was stuck to the table. - I rarely eat here since I have little kids and takeout is more convenient. We ordered a few items and 6 hibachi and 1 kids meal. For the kids meal we didn't order a drink but they kept pushing us to order a drink for the deal. It didn't make sense since we were okay with the child being only 4 to have her meal not be part of the promotion. In the end, the promotion was not fully honored. They used the kids meal as the 1/2 off and refused to let us split the check between the three families. Coupon will not be honored if split.. dumb excuse. It was an excuse so that we can't get a discount for the reg hibachi. If you're not going to honor it right, you should not promote it. After years of coming here, we will not be back again.

We were surprised how busy it was considering it was only 5:15 pm on a weekday. Everyone was in the front room which includes the bar, some tables and a sushi counter. We were quickly seated, adjacent to the bar, as all the tables against the wall (read that as incrementally further from the bar) were taken. Our pleasant waiter arrived promptly, and took our order. We selected: * Gyoza (6 pieces): Pan fried or steamed pork dumpling $7.50 * Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp with Fried Rice $25.00 * Sake Don (7 pieces) Salmon sashimi over a bed of sushi rice $15 Soup and salads arrived immediately, and were fine, standard fare. The fried Gyoza was very tasty and quite light. The Sake Don was good, the salmon was a little thin, there was a nice amount of roe added and a huge amount of rice. But the Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp was terrible. The proteins were tough and dry, the rice was much too salty and also dry, it was a very unappealing dish. My co-diner commented that the venue looked tired, the table felt sticky (the plastic menu was difficult for the waiter to retrieve from the table as it was stuck to it), and it was very noisy. She commented that we should never return.

It's not authentic Japanese, it's an interpretation of Japanese by Chinese workers and Cooks. Also, Chinese service isn't great and the waiter here isn't attentive and a bit too casual for my taste. The food itself is just acceptable, and for the price not great. The atmosphere also still is pretty weak, and the restaurant is small. It's sort of almost like a hole on the wall. On the West Coast, I've eaten at over 30 authentic Japanese restaurants, and for those of you who aren't Japanese restaurant or sushi aficionados... This food is probably fine. If you know we're good, Japanese food is, don't come here and frankly you may need to drive to Boston to get it.

They kept my Dasher informed so the service was excellent. The Gyoza was excellent, and the Chicken - filet mignon Hibachi was well beyond my expectation. I did not expect the full meal- salad, Miso Soup, noodles AND rice. I ordered Yummy sauce of course- because how can you eat Hibachi without it?? Everything was outstanding. I will definitely be ordering again!! I can't speak to ambiance, but I am sure it's lovely. I can't wait for next time! Such a treat! Don't mind the picture- I didn't want to even take the lid off before I took it. So well packaged!!

Mai Tai recommendation? Confirmed. Approved. Rounds for 3 Cold, refreshing Sapporo was flowing too. Given that hibachi rooms are usually a full-volume symphony of knives, fire, and birthday chants (in just over 2 hrs, we enjoyed 4 gongs!) -- I was pleasantly surprised. Even without sound-absorbing decor or cozy furniture, the noise level stayed lively but not chaotic. No shouting across the table, no sensory overload. A win. Our chef brought the right mix of skill and personality (entertaining without trying too hard), our server was on it, and drinks showed up consistently and on time -- which, let's be honest, is half the battle. Officially found a go-to outside of Manchester for sushi and hibachi. Cheers to good food, good company, and Saki shoots, but safely.
