Such a beautiful day for a drive and I have been wanting to check this place out. I drove from Gresham and ordered the ocean combo bowl. I really did not expect it to be this good. Great little spot for a quick bit of sushi and poke bowls. Located in downtown Ridgefield in a food truck food court. We got the spam musubi, I was a little hesitant to buy it. Usually I won't pay more than $2 for a spam musubi. This one was well worth it! It was a pretty decent size and has the sweet unagi sauce on it. My kids ate it up quick! Their other food options looked great as well. We will be back to try some other menu items. Give them a try! read more

First time here ! Got the Cheeto and rainbow roll !! Super good. I lived in Cali for years and got fresh sushi 4 times a week back then. Also I didn't ask for anything special came as is. The sauce was pretty light pretty much spot on for a regular order. BUT that one review that said it was drenched it was not. I wish I didn't listen, I would have asked for a little more sauce on the Cheeto one. New fave spot read more

I love Sushi Kato! Their rolls are fresh and delicious and they have a terrific chicken teriyaki bowl! It's conveniently located in downtown Ridgefield in a food truck alley. I also love that there are other trucks here so even if someone in my family doesn't feel like sushi one night, they can have a different type of food from one of the other carts and I can still have sushi. First time trying this place out. I am so happy Ridgefield finally has a sushi and poke restaurant. We had the ocean bowl and salmon bowl, they were both pretty good. I really want to like this place, but there are some key issues with the food. I had both the ridgefield roll and the Philadelphia roll. The sushi rice is super overdone and mushy, and the texture of the rice makes eating the sushi less than pleasant. The ridgefield roll tasted nice, and fortunately, the sauces and spicy tuna were distracting from the mushiness. However, the Philadelphia roll is much more simple with no sauce; nothing hid the mush. I really wanted to like this place since the ridgefield roll was very flavorful and the service is good. The sumo kick burrito is so good. A sushi burrito sounds weird, but I'm telling you, try it. For $13, you get so much good sashimi (raw fish), the flavors are delicious, and there is a crunchy tempura coating on the outside. Really grateful to have more food options in Ridgefield! read more

Do not order their poke bowl. In a real poke bowl, fish is marinated in soy sauce based marinade, which offers a lot is flavor. In Sushi Kato's poke bowl the fish (salmon, in my case) was not marinated but had some sweet sauce on top it. It came with red cabbage, cucumber slices, and avocado.
