My kiddo loves conveyor belt sushi so it was a neat surprise when we walked in saw they had one! The sushi was really good and I enjoyed the experience of looking at what they had and then grabbing off the belt. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had good desserts too. Not a huge variety but for what it is - it had exactly what we needed. The only reason I knocked a star is because service was fine - they didn't really check in or explain the process. For example, one of the reviews below says you can order what you want and they'll deliver it on the belt but no one really came around to ask (despite us being visibly confused for the first 15 minutes and there was only one other table). This one's tough my party and I are divided on the score for this place. I'd say a 3/ based off freshly ordered food- I ordered an order of seared salmon and the unagi and both were delicious. The rest of my party took food off the conveyor belt and I'd say it was not as fresh as it needed to be since they left not feeling too good after eating various items and the cheesecake slices going around. Both ppl who got food off the belt said it was warm overall and I didn't see any employee in particular curating the belt to make sure old things were coming off so I'd suggest ordering your food from the waitstaff from here to be safe. read more

First time ordering food from Sushi Yi. Sushi is not at the top of my favorite foods, but wanted teriyaki on a Sunday when my favorites were closed. Honestly, it was the most tender chicken and broccoli and full of flavor. My son and I were both impressed. We also had a side of steamed dumplings that were fresh and tasty. Not a big selection on the belt... saw a worm inside my sushi... i understand the worms can be in the salmon but tell me how could you cut the salmon and not notice them. Even though we live a bit too far from this place, we will absolutely continue to go here for their incredibly fresh offerings, great prices, amazing selections not to mention awesome awesome service. We stopped here to pick up a to-go order right as they opened yesterday, when we got home I was very surprised to find that my 18 piece sashimi deluxe was not only beautifully laid out in a container, it was tripped wrapped for freshness, I couldn't figure out why it was a bit heavy only to find out they had a layer of ice under my sashimi to keep it as fresh & delicious as possible. They asked if we wanted any sauce, we said we would try theirs .. we got a total of 5 small sauce containers to check out. Newly opened conveyor belt sushi place in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver. The raw fish was really fresh; though the rolls had a lot more rice than expected and this makes you feel full faster than being able to enjoy more varieties. Also, if there is an item on the menu that isn't circulating on the belt, you can request it from the host staff and they will bring it to your table. One of the menu items I ordered was the "Colorful Sushi" roll and it was really tasty. That roll is made with Tuna, Yellow tail, Salmon, Snapper, White Tuna, according to their menu. Found this place through an ad that popped up on my facebook page. To my surprise it was very close to where we live. They had just opened a few days before & all the reviews written were good, so we went to check it out. We were welcomed at the door & were told we could sit anywhere, so we picked a booth. I'm guessing during peak lunch hour maybe there are more items on the conveyor belt, but not a problem as you can order whatever you'd like. They checked on us a couple times if we order anything, even the workers preparing sushi asked us a few times. We ate mostly sushi aside from edamame & the cream puffs, but there is a full menu with ramen, boba drinks & other items if you aren't into sushi. Second time here, and not such a pleasant experience. Ordered several entrees of chicken yakisoba as it's on the menu, I should have known better. It's a sushi restaurant, they might have yakisoba on the menu but have no clue how to prepare it. Noodles were limp, if they were cooked in a wok it wasn't hot enough. came to this restaurant as a delivery driver, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The staff couldn't give me a clear answer on how much longer I had to wait for the order. Even after the scheduled pickup time had passed, I ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes with no updates. When I asked how much longer it would take, a waiter simply suggested that I cancel the order instead of providing any real assistance. The lack of professionalism and respect for my time was frustrating. I had considered coming back with my family to dine in, but after this experience, I definitely won't. Went fairly late after Clark County fair just before they closed. Staff was kind, sushi was great, bill was reasonable. Wasn't a lot of sushi on the conveyor belt because they were about to close. Definitely want to go back & see when the conveyor belt is full. Kids 6 & 10 loved it, my 6 yr old wanted to take everything off the conveyor belt (even stuff she won't eat) because she was so excited. Absolutely minimal service at its worst. We walked in, we sat ourself, had to wave her over to place our order. Then she was on the other side of the counter and not next to our table. She never checked back on us, and had to wave her down to get the bill. She then walk around, got a drink for herself, left the room, came back in, 30 seconds later told me just to go to the front and pay. What part of customer service did I get to leave a tip. I did a small tip and she was lucky to get it. I should have saved that for myself. She didn't earn a tip from me. She need to be retrained and think about what her role is in her job there and what she is being paid to do beside taking up space. read more

Wow!!! Such a great hidden gem that recently has opened. I've seen great reviews on Yelp and Facebook about this place and I finally had time to stop by to try. Staff is attentive and seats you quickly. Stopped by around 3 PM and was mostly empty and quiet. Sushi belt had some variety, mostly rolls with crab, and nigiri. You can ask the chef for specific rolls and they get it over to you fairly quickly. The nigiri is large. I had the seared tuna, octopus, salmon belly, and shrimp and all of it tasted so fresh and melt in your mouth buttery. Mmm. Im a huge fan of ginger and always eat loads of it. The ginger here is a bit dry, but flavorful and sweet. Otherwise, environment is great. They have a good selection of items and drinks. I'll try the boba next time! read more

Wow! I was a little concerned that there were only 3 reviews but we went for it. The grand opening sign explained the lack of reviews. Excellent customer service. Seems like it would be a fun place to dine in either in a booth or picking off the belt. We got ours to go and it was amazing. We ordered premium rolls but will probably mix it up a bit next time with some of the other offerings. And there will be a next time. I think we have found our new favorite sushi place.
