I really liked this place, granted the sushi is not the best or most inventive, but was much better than the price paid for each plate. As a tip if you have never been to a "track" sushi place. How it works is there is a conveyor with plates on it carrying different sushi, each color is a different price (all under 3 bucks) when done they simply count how many of each color and charge. The one item I will give a special mention to is the shrimp tempura, was not expecting such good shrimp for the price, breading was more of a fried shrimp breading, not the super light breading, and was delicious read more

OmNomNom! First of all, I am not a sushi connoisseur. Second, I used to think I'd hate sushi. But i love this place! It is a lot of fun to be able to choose bits and bites of what you want. I wish more restaurants were like this! Great prices. I have been to a "real" sushi bar and this doesn't quite compare. The icky squishy real stuff is harder to find here. Thursday the 23rd I ordered 2 rolls the Dragon roll and Salem Roll that was the first meal of the day and last for me then Friday the 24th I had signs of food poisoning I became super ill as it hit hard for me since I am pregnant. I ended up at urgent care Saturday on Christmas ended up getting an Iv fluid and some medication I was very dehydrated it could have been worst . Love the conveyor belt system, I think it adds to the quaint sushi restaurant. Their food has always been on par and we enjoy it quite a bit! I am crazy about their gyoza;s and parchment chicken while my wife enjoys anything from them. Fast, fresh, and the a good assortment of unique rolls I have not seen at other sushi restaurants. It's typical conveyor belt sushi that's always full and running (with a few booths). Plenty of people go here, and I appreciate that good rolls are on the conveyor and not just the common less expensive rolls. I will definitely keep coming back. read more

I love this place! when it 1st opened, I was scared to go in because I'd never has sushi. My Tia told me they had other things beside sushi. I gave it a try and actually had some sushi plates, I fell in love now this place os one of my regular lunch spots. Works out great, I live just down the street. I drank more beer than eating sushi. The selection was small and unappetizing. So I basically had beer for dinner. They are always happy to make you something if you ask. That's a plus. I personally would rather pull what I want from the railroad track and stuff it in my neck and not bother anyone. Will likely not go back again. Service was attentive. Made a delivery order thru Postmates. Half of the price was delivery fees and tip, which I thought was OK until I saw the serving sizes. Ordered 4 different items. This is the quintessential cheap sushi place - and provides exactly what you'd expect. Conveyor-belt sushi of varying quality and portion size, but no single item over $2.35, so you're not going to break the bank without really busting your gut. The Salem roll is a dirty pleasure - deep fried and stuffed with cream cheese. Hardly what you'd call 'sushi' even, but it's tasty... Fish quality and best species varies from day to day and if you have a good eye for it you should be fine. You can dine with a partner, build a huge stack of 15-20 plates and still escape for less than $15 a person. A lunch might only cost $6-8 if you're not starving. The service isn't remarkable but you're not here for that anyway. For conveyor belt sushi, you can't beat the price. Anniversary happy hour is 11:30-4pm everyday when they lower the two most expensive plates to the price of the 2nd plate ($1.85). You can order plates of anything on the menu that you don't see on the belt, and they are fast and it's the same low price. The unagi roll & the spicy salmon crunch roll are great for $1.85. My dad enjoys the sweet and crunchy salmon roll. Parchment chicken is also good, and the cucumber salad. I've been to this location and South commercial and they're both great. read more

this is a great place for kaiten sushi. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. One time I suggested that they make an eggplant tempura roll like one I had had at a sushi place in Seattle and the went out and bought eggplant for the next time I came in (I eat there at least once a week). My favorite rolls are the lichi shrimp and the volcano roll. I also like the shrimp cakes--just like a little mound of tempura everything. read more

Sushi Kyo is by far our favorite sushi restaurant in the northwest area. They have a great atmosphere and service. You have to try our two favorite rolls: the Salem Roll and the Oregon Roll! Remember to end your meal with a sweet treat called Mochi (strawberry or mango). The prices for the plates are great and the chefs are more than happy to make whatever you would like! Since i dont ever eat at these places its hard for me to judge this one. Place was really clean. The sushi runs along on a giant conveyer belt that snakes through the place. U just simply pick what u want as it drifts by your table. The good thing is you get a menu with pictures on it so u know what your getting.......kind of......the pictures lack descriptions of whats actually in the drifting sushi rolls. So some dishes may look great but depending on your idea of what's edible, u may hurl on the table. It is a clean friendly place and if u like sushi it may work for ya. read more

This place has great prices, but the line product isn't always perfectly fresh. I've had one experience where the cook brought me four orders of potstickers that were frozen in the middle and the waitress was very rude when I politely sent them back. That incident was over a year ago, and it's definitely an isolated incident. As I said, sometimes their line rolls aren't perfectly fresh, so I always order the rolls I want, and they make them right then. Wow. Talk about TASTY! And the staff is very nice too! I feel like the prices are pretty good.... Would be better if they were slightly cheaper. They don't have free refills on beverages which is really ridiculous. So i usually just order water. Today while we were here sitting at the sushi belt, watching the preparation area a man cutting fish, took a white towel he was using on a fish, snapped a fly on down toward the floor by his legs brought the towel back up put it beside the fish on the board continued cutting, picking up the towel using it again on the fish and the board. read more
