I came here from all the foodie hype and I was not disappointed. We ordered from their AYCE menu. All the sashimi tasted very fresh and was very good quality. I really enjoyed the Salmon, Butterfish, and Sweet Shrimp sashimi. Next we ordered a few rolls all they all came out presented beautifully as you will see from my photos. It was nice to see dim sum items and I was skeptical at first but they were really good quality too! Same with their hot menu items were delicious. The only thing I really did not like was their short ribs, it was really chewy and not edible. Finally, dessert was very good and i really liked that asian chocolate flavour for icecream. We love that they offer an all-day AYCE menu, so you can satisfy sashimi cravings even at lunch. The selection is solid across sashimi, rolls, dim sum, and hot dishes. The fish was very fresh, the rolls were well-sized with a good rice-to-filling ratio, and the sashimi cuts were thick and satisfying. Our favorites were the salmon, butterfish, and sweet shrimp. The hot food selection was a pleasant surprise. The grilled whole squid was smoky and well-seasoned. The cheese wontons were crispy, and the addition of crab to the cream cheese filling was a nice touch. The dim sum options were also decent, with tasty har gow and shrimp siu mai. A standout was the crab claw balls, something you rarely see at AYCE spots. They were crispy and packed with umami, and easily one of our favorites. The only miss was the grilled calbi, which was overcooked to the point of being tough and difficult to eat. If you post an Instagram story and tag them, you can get one free drink in-store. We tried the sparkling green grape, which tasted like a carbonated version of the classic Chinatown tube drinks from childhood. Ordered through uber eats with a friend so I'm not sure what the ambiance is like. We got the food really quickly so I think their service is quick in terms of making the food. I got a lunch special - 2 rolls. I got california roll and tempura shrimp roll. They were decent. The rice was fresh. It came with miso soup and salad. The miso soup is standard. Checked out this New AYCE spot. By new, I mean the AYCE part. They've been around for a while and usually focuses on a la carte. Wasn't expecting much but the food was actually fresh and big portions. Their rolls options were okay, nothing impressive, but at least the quality of food was good! I've ordered from Aira Sushi quite a few times in the past and I thought that it was a decent budget option in the Richmond North area. For a place that focused on AYCE, it's surprisingly good. They've also done a lot of BOGO roll deals on Ubereats and I've taken advantage of them semi regularly in the past. However, an order from half a year ago have left my family in total shock. I've had a lot of different types of sushi in my life before, but I've never had 'insect sushi' before. That time we ordered a sushi and sashimi party platter to treat some house guests and inside the platter was an insect that was the size of a regular house fly. The stereotypical, there's a fly in my soup is bad enough in any situation. But, at least the soup is perhaps hot enough to kill as much of the germs as possible. But, an insect in sushi and sashimi that is meant to be ingested directly, that's just next level bad. It also caused some level of embarrassment, considering that guests were present to witness the 'find'. As restaurants slowly begin to re-open under the "new normal" my wife and I decided to pay this place a visit, as it just happened to open right around the beginning of the pandemic, and we were curious how they were implementing safety measures. This restaurant is located where "Willys Chinese Cuisine" used to be on the east side of Yonge street. There is plenty of parking so no worries to be had there. When first entering the restaurant, there is a small table set up where you sign in and provide your personal info, as well this is where they put any take out orders for delivery drivers to pick up from. This was a good idea as it prevents extra people from roaming too far in and out of the store. We were seated right in the middle of the restaurant and it was very well spaced out. We were provided bottles of water, instead of cups of water which was appreciated for cleanliness. We were also provided disposable chopsticks, which also was appreciated. The only things that were reusable were the plates and the soy sauce bottle. They use an iPad order system, so again it minimizes the interaction between you and the server. Really the only time you interact is when they give you food, and take payment. Overall I definitely felt pretty safe eating here given the whole situation with the world right now. Now food wise, they are quite decent if not on par with any other sushi AYCE restaurants. Unfortunately I didnt get any lasting impressions from the food - Which is not to say that it was bad per say. It just didnt wow me in any way that anything in particular stuck out - So the food was more then adequate and satisfying for an AYCE sushi The one thing I did appreciate though was that the rolls didnt have a lot of rice in them, compared to other AYCE restaurants where they make the rolls 70% rice. So really, I cant fault any of the food, the safety measures that they were following was also very good and a welcome site. Service was good to quite good as well and very attentive. Ordered a sashimi bento here through DoorDash delivery for my lunchtime work session. Once again, I overestimated myself and ordered too much food and I was pretty much full halfway through this meal. The fish tasted fresh and the California roll was tasty. The tempura was no longer crisp anymore and perhaps is an opportunity for improvement. It's understandable that it would get soggy after the time in delivery but I think with the right batter, it may be able to maintain its crunch a bit better. All in all, I'm satisfied :) read more

I ordered two green dragon rolls through Uber Eats' promotion and it was 100% amazing. Not only was it quick and ready in time so I didn't have to wait at the door, but the food was excellent. I was a bit worried when I entered the restaurant and a large all you can eat sign was at the front door. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I went home with the meal. The tray was stuffed with sushi and loaded with mayo and lots of flavour. Although the dragon roll contains fried shrimp and not fresh fish, the ingredients tasted very fresh and clean. Avocados do help! I was also extremely surprised that the dragon rolls were stuffed with shrimp as opposed to crab meat. As an ayce restaurant, they usually try to fill the customers up with rice and inexpensive crabmeat, but this was different. Overall I had a great experience here. Great no frills AYCE sushi joint. Sashimi is fresh and sushi rolls have just the right rice to fish/filling ratio. Cooked items are also very done.
