I called around several sushi places in the area to ask for prices. We wanted to do all you can eat. This place had the best price, so being a big family we decided to head over. Since the price was so reasonable, my expectations weren't super high. Boy, was I wrong to think that way! They have great customer service, great price for all you can eat, nice quiet atmosphere, fresh sushi (delicious!). The all you can eat sushi rolls were smaller than other places, BUT it was good because it allowed me to taste different rolls before feeling full. The all you can eat includes dessert options which is super nice! The sushi was fresh, generous and delicious and they had a big variety of options. It came out quickly and thr waitress made sure to keep our drinks full. The sushi chefs took the time to blow up and give all the kids balloons at the end of our dinner. What a fun and delicious dinner! Came in expecting a "mid" experience and came out with a new favorite sushi place! Great price, great service and great food. 10/10! read more

First time trying this restaurant for family/date night. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by who seemed to be one of the owners. My wife and i always enjoy family owned restaurants. We didnt have to wait for a table, the server explained to us the menu, and the all you can eat option. We opted for a la carté menu. The server suggested the garlic edamame appetizer which was a great choice. Our kids ordered miso soup which according to them it was soooo good! We were suggested the exgirlfriend roll... BEST ROLL we have had in a while. We also order joons sushi, or joons choice, cant remember the name but it was also really tasty. Drinks: i had a sapporo and we shared a hotsake bottle and a cold one too. Price is pretty reasonable. Our server was very attentive, they sent a few balloons so that our kids would be entertained while we had our last drinks, i thought it was a pretty good gesture from them Overall: price, food and service was excellent. We have tried multiple sushi places in town and Joon's is our favorite. It's in a strip mall and it's a smaller location but their Sushi and service is excellent. They have plenty of choices for kids and non-sushi eaters as well. Our favorite rolls are the Joons special, my ex-girlfriend and the lobster bake. They always have a buy one get one free sake as well. Highly recommend! read more

Horrible experience. Came here for my daughters graduation and my dad asked the waitress if they had any protein options since he's diabetic and she replied no and he asked her if it was going to be a problem if he didn't eat the rice and she didn't say no, but she didn't say yes. He ordered all you and eat and then when it was clear he wasn't going to eat the rice, she came and said there was going to be a $5 coat for each roll. He specifically asked if it was going to be a problem , at that time she should have said there would be an upcharge and he would have ordered completely differently. The manager was sitting right next to us and I asked to speak with him and he looked over and very rudely said, "you talk to waitress, not me." I knew that would be the last time I ever step foot in this restaurant. I guess the other owner waived the upcharge, and I wasn't going to write a review, but looking back about how we were treated, we still tipped and our bill was still $270, and they pushed us out with no thank you for our business, I decided other people needed to know about their customer service skills. Very disappointing. There are several other all you can eat sushi places that offer protein options that are better, I suggest going to those establishments. read more

I repeatedly asked the waitress where his food was as I watched people eat and pay before my husband was served. Mind you they came in when we did! I liked this place bc my kids liked the appetizers. Its kind of pricey here but it ayce. I didn't liked the pizza bites but I liked all the other appetizers. Its weird they have mini corn dogs at a sushi place. Lol. I liked the chicken teriyaki and the rolls were decent enough. My kids usually get rolls with shrimp and I always get salmon rolls. Firstly, service here was terrible , we sat waiting for around 20 minutes without drinks or even being approached to see what we wanted to drink, despite one of the staff members looking at us repeatedly as she'd walk past . We got AYCE sushi and I noticed that the AYCE portions are TEENY compared to the regular portions. The fish here didn't taste fresh at all, it was fishy tasting and chewy. This is the worst sushi place I've ever had, the edamame was super fishy and genuinely smelt disgusting. The sushi was not sushi grade and had the most pale and unsettling color I've ever seen (I try new sushi spots weekly). We complained that the food wasn't good and the manager came and stuck his hand in our plates tried the food and threw his scraps back onto the table saying it was fine and walked away, but it literally looked painful for him to try it. Tried this place on a whim. Didn't realize it was AYCE, and I didn't have a large appetite so we just ordered a la carte. The quality of food here is incredibly average. The sashimi, while large, tasted like it had been frozen, and lacked any kind of flavor. A lot of places will give you a slice of lemon or something to squeeze onto the fish, but not here. Same goes for the oysters. They are really big, but no lemon or sauce to help it go down. I used the lemon slice in my cup to get the job done. I only had a couple of sushi rolls - one was okay and one was less so - but looking over the menu, most of their rolls sounded very basic and plain. They had several TVs on in the restaurant, and each one was playing something completely different, so it can be noisy. Also, maybe I'm just unlucky, but there was some 5-second audio clip being played in the restaurant, on repeat, the ENTIRE time I was there. That nearly drove me mad! The positives about this place are that the food is very cheap for a sushi place, and the service was friendly (they even gave us a freebie dish to try, which actually tasted better than the rest of the food we ordered lol). I think if you wanted to eat a lot of sushi at a low price and didn't mind the average quality, then you might like coming here. read more

Came here for the lunch AYCE and the place was not busy so we got good service. Choices and menus can be a bit confusing with the AYCE and lunch specials but it was still fun to pick and choose. The sushi was good but the rice portions were ungodly and we knew it was meant to fill you up so you couldn't get too much more than a first round. I went with my daughter and her family for my granddaughter's graduation. We were the only party in the restaurant. We went for the AYCE. I talked to the server about my dietary restrictions, informing her that I wasn't supposed to eat rice. I asked if they could make my sushi without rice. She talked to the sushi chef and she came back and said NO! Ok, even though every other sushi place that I've ever been to was able to accommodate my restrictions, and we were the only ones in the place. I told her that it wasn't a problem, but I wasn't going to eat the rice. She took our order and the food started to come out. The food was decent and overall pretty good. After I had eaten a few items, she came to our table and said that they were going to charge me $5 extra, because I wasn't eating the rice. $5 extra for pennies worth of rice. If she had told me before we ordered, I wouldn't have eaten, or I wouldn't have gone with the all you can eat menu. I would have ordered from the regular menu and got items without rice. I'm a senior and don't eat much, so it's not like I was going to eat a large amount of food. I understand that some people fill up on fish and don't want to fill up on the rice. That was not the case for me, rice is one of my favorites, even though I can't have it anymore. The owner was sitting ten feet away and he heard the entire scenario. I asked to speak to him and the sever told him that I wanted to talk to him. She came back and said that we had to talk to the her only. He wouldn't talk with us. Poor customer service and totally unprofessional. There are way too many sushi places to choose from that are sensitive to my request. None of my family will ever eat here again. I have 4 children and 11 grandchildren, so they just lost 21 future costumers for twenty five cents worth of rice. We only got one round, because our server never told us that they were closing at 2 and never came and told us that it was last call. read more

By far one of the best sushi bars in SoCal. Was greeted and seated immediately by the bar the waitress was training a new hire and the customer service was exceptional. I ordered salmon sushi (seared) and the fish was fresh. While enjoying the sushi, the chef received a delivery (live halibut) and I requested for sashimi of the halibut he was filleting. It's been a long time since I've been here. Used to visit a lot when they first opened. They definitely add a lot more rice than they used to. The rolls have a better portion of rice than the nigiri.
