The sushi here is really good and I think the fact the prices are reasonable and it's kosher is amazing. Staff is very efficient and makes sure everyone is attended to despite it being a madhouse inside the restaurant. Staff is wearing masks and following all protocols. I love the fact that they give you sauces with any order and the sushi is very fresh. Great place to order sushi! Ordered delivery for lunch and although it came on time this sushi did not have the quality as other sushi places I have ordered from. The rolls were not as well crafted either. I actually didnt find out that it was kosher until it arrived. The standard rolls (spicy tuna, etc) were decent but seemed to lack that punch of freshness that normally hits you when you eat sushi. I know that sounds weird but I pretty much I am saying I couldnt taste the freshness. The tempura salad was interesting and I enjoyed it. It had a great texture of crunchy as well as the freshness from the salad. I would order this again. Prices were what you would expect from a kosher restaurant. So no surprise here. Overall, not my favorite sushi spot. I am going to stick with Ginza if I am in this area. read more

I was about to order delivery from this place but saw that a lot of people gave a bad review about their attitudes in the delivery process. Ok, so I decided to go in and see if it'll be better in person. Walking in, it's a small place. Things I liked: there's a sink in the eating area, it's clean-ish, you don't pay tip because they don't actually serve you. You buy at the front and eat there if you want. Things I don't like: the customer facing workers all had faces that looked like you owe them money. The sushi was not good. I've been to a lot of sushi places, including the cheapest $1 sushi chain in Japan, and the sushi here is just not good. Honestly, the only reason it's surviving is because it's the only option in this area. It's also more expensive than other good sushi places. This use to be my favorite sushi spot but after the second time of the workers not doing anything to help me I'll never order again. Yesterday I ordered sushi and ask them if they can put spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce on the sushi roll. The lady told me it would be extra $.50 I said OK no problem I'll pay it. The delivery came with no receipts and when I open the sushi there was no teriyaki sauce or spicy mayo on top of it I called back the store and the guy picked up the phone and I explain to him what the situation was and he said we don't do that. I asked them for a receipt because I never got one and I explained that the girl told me that you guys do that for an extra charge he said he would call me back and also send me a receipt and I never got one. Today I order it again from them thinking it would be different I did get my receipt but I also got my sushi roll the rice was off of my roll. I called him about it and he told me to send them a picture he gave me a number and I sent in the picture a couple of hours later I got a text message back telling me it's a wrong number. My teriyaki sauce that I got inside a little cup was also stale because it was hard and probably sitting there for A while. Poor and messy food presentation. Rolls are not made accurate and proper way. Looks like they choosing cheap ingredients. Food is absolutely not tasty. Order was very late. Employee by the phone who wants to take responsibility refused to introduce himself. Managers call back which was promised never have been done. Highly not recommend place. Wow I am shocked and appalled by the attitude I received when I called in for an order. I used to order plenty of times in the past when there prices where decent for the quality that was decent not great. Now they've raised the prices and quality of sushi has decreased. They change the prices on the menu constantly so call in before you order. If I could give it a 0 I would but I can't. I found a long hair in my Kani Salad, I let the cashier know to which he proceeded to send it back to the kitchen & have a "new" one made, upon receiving the "new" Kani Salad I found another hair, this time a smaller one, either the guy that prepared the salad had a hair cut or he didn't actually remake the Kani salad that had the long hair but instead just removed it & gave it back to me. Overall, the food was hairy, overpriced & not very well made. Also, they didn't even try to compensate me as a customer for their mistakes that were made not once but twice but instead did not charge me for the Kani Salad with hair that they had messed up twice, as if I were going to pay for a Kani Salad with hair in it in the first place! This is my favorite kosher sushi place! I never have complaints when I eat here. The sushi is always fresh and they give as much condiments as you need, never an extra charge. Delivery took a Little bit longer than anticipated. I tried one of their rolls as the make some combination "rolls" and it was kinda tasteless. Their cream cheese doesn't taste like the regular cream cheese. On the other hand the regular rolls ( e.g. Spicy salmon, spicy tuna, so ked salmon, etc) were decent. Basically they were good but they are "lunch special" good. Would I pay the regular price for it? Not so much. It wasn't up to that "wow" kinda effect on my taste bud. read more

The service here is always pleasantly good. I usually order over the phone to save time when I'm rushing. Ordered the Mexican roll here at least five times and wasn't disappointed. At SM, this roll is essentially a tempura, or fried roll. Try Meshuga's avocado tuna/salmon. Very fresh ingredients. Parking situation is okay at best. You'll probably have to park on Avenue O, unless you're lucky or good or both. I like to think of myself as neither, so when I do get a spot, I feel better about myself. read more

Prices have been the same for years. Keep it that way! Service is always quick, except that one time the delivery guy crashed or something. I love their sushi and have been a customer for a long time but I have very negative feedback. Yesterday, the sushi delivery guy handed my sushi over to a stranger outside of my apartment who showed up at my door and now knows where I live. It was extremely messed up and I'm furious. I called sushi meshuga ,explained what had happened, and asked for the manager and was told that he is out and I will get a call back but never did. I'm extremely upset with the way this was dealt with and hope that they don't put anyone else in danger. read more

THE GOOD: During weekdays, they are prompt and super attentive; you gotta love a place that doesn't mind giving you extra sweet sauce and soy sauces -- classy! The order comes within 15-20 minutes! The menu has a TON of choices and as far as kosher prices goes, it's fairly reasonably priced sushi. They've got the cadillac of kashrut certification (Kehila Kashrus I believe) so you can rest assured there's no mystery ingredients in your food. THE BAD: Well, not a "terrible bad" but an "eh" kinda bad. At times, the fish doesn't taste that fresh to me. That's it. THE UGLY: This place is an animal house after shabbat. Good luck ordering over the phone when you can hear what appears to sound like wild boars in the background as the guy is trying to take your order, and the person at the counter with little social skills is blurting out their order while the guy at the register is taking your credit card info. This in turn makes the two guys at the register go nuts and less attentive than during the weekday, and causes a delay in your delivery. OVERALL: Fairly decent place as far as kosher restaurant services goes, large selection of sushi and good delivery timing, minus the motzei shabbat scenario. read more

I'm a big fan. When I do takeout, I need online ordering, and kosher restaurants just don't seem to see the importance of that. I used to be all about Sushi Tokyo, but sadly, I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. Sushi Meshuga has a great website for ordering, and quick delivery. The sushi is very fresh, delicious, and is a great price. I've never dealt with them over the phone, but why would I when you can order online. They have a great deal for 10 rolls, which is like $30 bucks. Last 2 times I've ordered, I got the 10 roll special, and gave special instructions for how to pack it. They packed it according to my directions, and it was delivered within 45 minutes. Way to go you crazy, meshugas! read more
