We recently moved into the neighborhood and we are on a mission to explore every nook and cranny the City of Huntington Park has to offer. We finally got around to trying Sushi Moon Ramen and my family and I are happy we gave this place a try. Sushi Moon Ramen has been on our radar for some quite some time and this food spot hit the mark for a few reasons. We live in an area where the food cuisine is predominantly Hispanic/Latino (which is a good thing) but sometimes we are craving some Asian flavors. Having lived around Korea Town before Huntington Park and I can definitely say we've been accustomed to having good Asian food at our disposal. We've been searching for restaurants near the area that puts an Asian inspired flare to it's dishes. Sushi Moon Ramen is just that place that you're looking for that will teleport you to a new food adventure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The fun anime atmosphere is the first thing that draws you into it's doors. There's lots of anime decorations around the restaurant and it makes you feel like you're about to feast on some Ramen and Sushi like Goku after a hard days of training.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This establishment doesn't take itself so serious and plays into the whole fantasy element. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We dined in an hour before closing and they made us feel welcome and not rushed whatsoever. The two gentleman running the restaurant and kitchen were very attentive and fast with their service. Every dish that we ordered came faster than expected and the presentation was also on point. The food itself was very solid and despite not being the best Asian food we've ever had we appreciated the effort to be as authentic as possible. They have a wide variety of Sushi Rolls and appetizers to get you started. We ordered an appetizer for my son which was the calamari rings which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered their very affordable "Kitty" chicken and salad plate and Bento Box with one "Golden Tiger" roll. The chicken and salad plate was substantial for the price with a lot of rice but I wish it came with a little more chicken but the salad was a good way to balance the overall dish. The Bento box was really good. I think that's the best way to get a variety of items. It allows you to get a sense of what Sushi Moon Ramen has to offer aside from their Ramen. The sushi roll we got consisted mostly of cream cheese which was different for us but we thought it was interesting and adventurous. We specifically got that roll due to my wife not being able to eat raw sushi at the moment. We will definitely, try their other rolls next time. Overall, Sushi Moon Ramen has a lot of potential and we will come back to try some more of their menu items. It's not the highest quality of food we have had but it's satisfactory. It's the effort and wonderful customer service that we applaud. Thank you for a great dinner service we will be returning very soon. read more

Anime stuff plastered all over the walls, even the menu items had funky names like "Kitty" or "Sailor Moon". I guess that's the crowd they're trying to attract. The service was attentive but the waitress helping us out was very in your face. Everytime she would come with a item she'd shove it in front of your face with waiting for you to move back or say excuse me or something. She was nice, but lacked experience. Lastly, the food. We ordered 1 teriyaki chicken bowl, "The Kitty", and a Teriyaki bento. The rice was dry and the chicken had the consistency of microwaved chicken. Very chewy.
