WOW, I'm tempted to go 5 stars. I don't think a restaurant has ever gotten me out of a bad mood. Had a good day until I had to deal with TracFone support (forgot my phone so bought a cheap one for this week). Only $9.99 plus a card, so not a big deal money wise but their support stinks. I was planning on a Mexican place but they didn't do take out (can't put something in a box?) so I was on my way to another Asian place but saw this. Walked into the perfect lighting - not too bright, not too dim. I was greeted right away and asked if I had any questions as I looked at the menu board. I decided on the Chicken Teriyaki and 1 egg roll to go. They passed the beer test with flying colors (if the food is done before I can finish a beer it's not that fresh). Several customers made small talk as I waited. One was certainly a regular, telling her companion what she usually gets. I browsed one of the many magazines at the waiting table. I have to say the girl who took my order is what brought me out of my funk. So nice, professional (and pretty). She was right on top of everything, including taking care of the customers in the dining area. My food was excellent! A huge portion of chicken and sticky rice and a very good egg roll. Had a great lunch. Haven't been there in a few years. Glad I stopped in. Udon was perfect. Fish rice was fresh and now they give you the Korean sauce in a jug to spray on at your own risk. Tempura wasn't greasy and miso soup was hot and tasty. Beer came cold and glasses frosty. Service was friendly and outgoing. Prices seem right in line with what you get. This place is always amazing. We go here very often and always have a great time. The sushi is delicious along with the chicken teriyaki. The customer service is always amazing. They are quick with your food and always check up on you for beverage refills. All around my girlfriend and I have always enjoyed this place! I would recommend it for sure. read more

As I walked into the restaurant, I was completely ignored until after 5 minutes of standing around. The service was horrible. After taking my order (California roll, chicken yakisoba), I waited 20 before the food reached my table. The food was just okay. The roll's nori was chewy. Although the other ingredients were fresh. Sorry Sushi Mori, but you've lost me to Subs & Jeans or Sushiya from here on out. I've eaten here in the past - but in not in the last year or so, I've always had a good experience before today. Today, I picked up a to-go order - man I should have looked at it before I got home. The salmon looked bad (last I checked salmon was a rich orange color, not chalky-white-orange..eek), I didn't even need to taste it - but I did. Definitely NOT sushi grade salmon. Into the trash. Onto the tuna. Maybe it was the bad-salmon taste lingering in my mouth, but again - way off in flavor. And by off I do mean bad. It went straight into the trash too. $16 lunch, all in the trash. I'm not sure if the fish was old, or just not high quality - but it shouldn't have been served raw. I'll definitely avoid the raw food here in the future, maybe the cooked food is better? read more

Apparently, management has changed. The food has turned for the better. Lol! The service still remains friendly and speedy. But the quality of the food is now outstanding. Thank you!!! I've been meaning to update this for some time. Over the last 4 years, this place has morphed into a take-out place with seating and clueless wait staff. I still think they make great sushi and I think the original chef still runs the kitchen, but it just is not the same as it was after it first opened. Average. Mori's is a place you can count on for very good Japanese cuisine never to disappoint! They serve a wide variety of fresh sushi and offer excellent teriyaki, udon, etc. The Paradise roll is the bomb with fresh ahi, spicy sauce, tobiko, and crab. We have some very serious food allergies and these guys always accommodate. The service carries on as our very consistent neighborhood comfort place. LOVE MORI!! read more

Sushi Mori was the place we came to when we visited Kennewick, and now that I live here I go even more. Always fresh, always great food.

Being new to the area I was excited to find this place and try it out. I really like the variety of rolls and the prices are very reasonable. There are two issues I have with Sushi Mori, and I took off one star for each because I feel they are pretty substantial: For one, the service here is terrible, I order take out very often however anytime I come in I've had to wait to place my drink order, food order, and almost always have to ask for a refill. This is a small restaurant and when there is only one or two other tables filled, if even that and I have to wait several minutes to even order my drink there is a problem. There are several high school students working here that seem to be more occupied with doing homework than they are doing their job and it's a common occurrence. The other issue I have is when coming in one night to pick up my order I see the owner come in with a bag of frozen salmon from Costco. I'm no sushi chef but it seems that a sushi restaurant would have fresher fish. All in all the food is good and the prices are fair, so if you love sushi and can tolerate the bad service then it's your best bet for the Tri-Cities. read more

Have to say I have not found a sushi place I am in love with since moving from the East coast. But Sushi Mori, has given me hope. Their quality is great, and the taste is really good and fast. Not to mention their customer service is really awesome! I ordered carryout and the lady who checked me out, was very nice. I would have given them a 5, but they are a bit on the spendy side of sushi here in the TriCities. read more

Ridiculously over priced with the smallest servings of fish I've ever seen. The sashimi was practically translucent. Waste of money.

The sushi here can be pretty outstanding. I usually order the sushi bento, and have yet to have it arrive without the small portion of salmon being incredibly over-cooked. And when I say "over-cooked" I mean cooked to the point where the edgws are hard. Not crispy nor crunchy, but solid and inedible. Their other menu items are pretty good, yakisoba, katsu - the tempura is too greasy, though. The service is usually decent, though the last time we went the waitress forgot to put my son's yakisoba order in. We had all finished our entrees before she even came around close enough for me to get her attention. When I mentioned my son's order, she ran off, and we did not see her again until she arrived with a steaming plate of yakisoba. She did not offer an apology, but said there would be no charge for it. However, we were still charged for it. After waiting tables myself for about 5 years, I find this completely unacceptable. I do not think we will be dining there again unless I see changes reflected in good reviews. read more

I normally don't come here for sushi and now remember why. I ordered the Seattle roll. The amount of fish you get in the roll is barely enough to add color. The rice is bland and mushy. And the hamachi nigiri is pale and not appetizing in appearance. I am surprised the reviews are so favorable, this place is not good! read more

They tend to be busy, especially on the weekend evenings. The food is pretty good, not my favorite sushi in town but still good stuff. The hot food is great, we like to get a few rolls and split something hot. read more

The sushi here is grocery store level, at best. If you are a true sushi lover you will be greatly disappointed. The rice was thick and gooey and the overall quality of the fish was sub par. I'd have to say it's average at best, but better than the conveyor belt sushi at the mall. While the selection of rolls is better than I've seen at most places the rolls in general are small. If you've every been to an all-you-can eat sushi place the size of the rolls are similar small so you are enticed to eat more, but that doesn't apply here. If you shopping at Costco I'd come here, but there is a bteer place jsut about a mile away. read more

I may be too picky but the chopped radish was no good and the sashimi was boring. A 12 piece mixed sashimi was 4 fish no squid no octopus etc. I should have had the teriyaki. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday evening. We were able to sit right away but the place filled quickly! I had a veggie roll, salad and miso soup. The boyfriend got a Seattle roll and a spicy tuna roll. We were very satisfied, the food was excellent. The service, however, was not. There was only one server for a pretty crowded dining room and she was nice but not terribly attentive. We would definitely come back there are a few other rolls that look amazing but we likely would try for an early dinner to get better service. read more

They have a really great selection of sushi. I tried the Rainbow roll first and absolutely love it! My husband had the Seattle roll also which is your basic sushi roll. I would suggest trying those rolls topped with a sauce, they are my fav! read more

One of my favorite sushi places in the TC! I will readily admit I'm not a 'normal' sushi eater. I don't like anything raw, nor am I a major fan of fish. So my usuals are the Yummy Crunch or Spicy Shrimp roll. The Chicken Teriyaki is also one of my favorites! The food is delicious, the service is always topnotch. The only reason for a 4/5 is due to price. While sushi is typically expected to be pricier, I can go to another place that is better quality and more authentic (like real crab is used instead of imitation crab, and you get a thicker, more fresh tasting roll) for the same price. But I do really love Sushi Mori, and it's become a favorite of mine for lunches during work. read more

This is my wife's favorite sushi place (I am not a big sushi fan) and we always eat here when in Tricities. The prices are way better than Aloha Sushi and the rest are much better too. They have very good teriyaki chicken, which is what I get. read more

Used to be my favorite sushi place until I discovered Sakura which is excellent. I was disappointed my last two visits - the portions seem smaller and I think the food is always fresh but the taste was just not quite as great as I recall. Mainly disappointed in the portion size. I do like this place and gave it a 4 star, but it is no Sakura and not my first choice for sushi. read more
