This place have a fair amount of food on the menu. The Pacific Ocean roll was good minus the sweet sauce. Nothing special with the spider roll (crab), too much eel sauce. Both our hand roll, salmon hand roll and spicy tuna hand roll were average, nothing special. It does look like they have many to do orders. Our food took about 40 - 45 mins. In my opinion that's way too long. Maybe if they would have serve the 2 simple hand roll first while we wait for 45mins that would have made it better. We will go back again and try different rolls.

Oh. My. Lawd. This was a phenomenal dining experience! From getting a table right away, friendly service, cozy environment, & an IMPECCABLE, UNIQUE, MEAL...10/10 all around! The Latino Roll was a creative, pleasant surprise with plantains...DELICIOUS

As you walk in a cute spot with smiling faces greet you. We arrived at 11am and were seated immediately. Ordered and food came out within 10 mins. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The House Fried Rice was definitely old/dry rice. Besides the dry dark rice, the shrimp was large jumbo shrimp and plenty of fresh egg and meats chopped up inside. We recommend the sushi and Dumplings. The actual rice could have been more fresh. Pan Fried Dumplings - 6 pieces House Special Fried Rice - large bowl Celebration Roll - delicious and huge! Our favorite.

    Seafood Sunomono

Another wonderful restaurant that has consistently served good to great food over the years. On this night, the inside was packed and so we sat outside on a relatively cold night. We started with the seafood sunomono which is a slightly vinegary Japanese cucumber salad with a touch of sweet and savory elements coming from the rice vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce dressing. This was a light and refreshing start to the meal. For the main course, I opted for the general Tso chicken. The broccoli was cooked al dente with a nice form crunch while the chicken was not overly battered and fried well. The only underwhelming aspect of the dish was the sauce that accompanied the included spring rolls. Cannot forget the service, and as busy as they were, this was exceptional.

Tried to call for 30 minutes but keeps going busy

Minus stars should be an option. Horrible. Horrible. HORRIBLE Ordered a coconut chicken soup today with another soup and a beef meal. The coconut chicken soup has ZERO chicken in it and it's 8 bucks. The beef cashew meal is super salty and the sauce seems like it's a thick soy glaze. Yuck. I also tried calling the restaurant many times over a period of half hour but it goes into a busy signal and then cancels the call. A refund would be great! This is complete bullshit. Poor food quality' and horrible service. How does this place have all these good reviews and get away with this? Update on my review from today. I finally got through to Sandra like an hour later and she mentioned that if one of the soups have zero chicken then both won't have any chicken because the chefs makes them together so no chicken for both. Ummmmmm..... ok?!?! How weird. She ended up refunding both soups on the card and mentioned this is happens and it's normal. How about you get a new chef or one that can read and understand what the order calls for. Is it that hard?

    Super JB Roll not fried.

I ordered the Super JB roll $14, received 6 pieces versus what I normally see is 8 for that amount. (And they weren't that large). I also ordered the chicken pad thai, doesn't taste anything like pad Thai nor does the color. Unfortunately not impressed...pretty bummed as I had been wanting to try them for a while.

We had a good meal here -- or rather, the food was good so that's why the 4 stars. But it came without any welcoming, warmth or personality. I guess we just didn't fit the profile or have the right look. The restaurant is small inside -- only a half dozen tables plus the seats at the sushi bar. There is also outside seating. They weren't busy when we came. There was only one other table occupied, but they were doing a number of takeout orders as we ate. I started with some cold seaweed salad. It was a nice crunchy bright green portion served over a bit of shredded iceberg lettuce. It was a refreshing starter. I followed that with their clear tofu miso soup. The soup was served hot and had tofu and vegetables and some clear noodles in it. The soup was okay. I liked the seaweed better between the two. My husband had a California roll and some assorted sushi including masago. The sushi came prettily arranged on the plate and looked appealing. He said it was very good. I ordered a kanisu roll. The large cucumber roll (no rice) came expertly wrapped around large pieces of avocado and krab. It was served with a slightly sweet ponzu sauce. I used light soy instead, but the roll was good. We probably wouldn't make the drive here again. It's a bit far and we weren't given any special reason to come back. Sushi and dining in a restaurant is not an inexpensive outing these days with food costs high, so plan accordingly. But if you live in the area, it's a convenient place to get your Thai or sushi fix and you'll get a good meal.

I love this place. Every time I go - food is delicious and service is always very good. Love their sashimi and signature rolls.

This is a unique hole in the wall hidden in commercial sector of Wellington. Seems to be a popular lunch place for local business personnel. Very good food. Lots of take out traffic and eat in. Although small seating and no atmosphere. The Sushi is very basic but good quality. The dumplings were disappointingly tasteless However everything was well worth the lunch price. I will patronize this place again

    Spicy tuna roll
    Krista C.

Sushi Moto is always a solid lunch choice for me, you can get a nice lunch for around 10 bucks. Dishes are a nice size and fish is always fresh. I usually go for the chicken pad thai or a couple of rolls paired with a thai iced tea. They'll always ask you how spicy you like your food on a scale of 1-5 and let me tell you they are accurate with the scale. I order a 4 and it is very spicy, cant imagine what a 5 feels like. lunch specials are served 11-4 Monday through Saturday Best thing about this place though is the service. Everyone who works here is really friendly and attentive.

Sushi sorry can't remember name of roll but it was delish!

Quality of the food ? How is the service? Ambiance?

Great food- service is usually on point- the same 3 or 4 are always there. A relaxed place not too dressy.

We waited for menu which seemed ridiculous as we were literally the only people there. The server did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. I asked about the size of the TomKha soup and if they made their own tonkotsu broth. (He said no so ramen was off the table). They didn't have a big pot of TomKha which seems odd for a Thai restaurant. So then I asked about the curries. Which was his favorite. He really didn't have an answer. I asked about massaman curry and asked if it was yellow curry (traditional red, green and yellow curry can be found at most that restaurants). He said it was a little orange, yellow. But it had potato, which is generally a yellow curry, so I just ordered it. When the food came it was beautiful! Colors were vibrant and ingredients were fresh. I'm really picky when it comes to pad Thai, and this was excellent! The yellow curry was really good but would have liked to have been able to add a little spice to it when being prepared. Broccoli was a bit al dente but overall it was very good. We had to get up and request the bill and to go boxes. The server just disappeared. Again... There was one other couple that came in while we were there. Why are we waiting? Clearly we were done and ready for the next step. The service was just really bad! Anyway.. overall, the food is definitely good. We will be back to try the other curries and menu items. I just hope the service is better, because this time around it was really lacking!

All rolls tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would not order the dumplings or the toro sashimi again. The filling in the dumplings was bland and mushy, while the toro sashimi was weirdly cut. It's usually the melt-in-your-mouth tuna, but instead it was meaty in a bad way. The calamari was just okay. Restaurant was big, spacious, and clean. It was my first time trying an all-you-can-eat restaurant where everything is made to order and brought to your table instead of the traditional buffet. You pay one fixed price, then everyone just keeps ordering until they're completely full. The sushi selection is extensive, along with a variety of other dishes, although you probably won't need much else. Plate after plate of sushi keeps arriving at your table, freshly made, incredibly fresh, and cut to order. I really disliked the tempura roll, it was mushy, it felt like a warm purée instead of a roll. Go hungry--you definitely won't regret it. The service was very good, and while the restaurant itself isn't particularly memorable, it's clean and pleasant. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the seating. Some booths are placed very close together, so instead of feeling like we had a private table for three, it almost felt like we were sharing one long table with nine people.
