Brought a party of 12 ladies here at noon and we had excellent service and very yummy food! My panang curry with fried tofu was outstanding at a spice level of 2 - so glad I didn't go to 3! My friends loved their green curry and their noodle dishes. Not one complaint! This is an amazing restaurant. This is our neighborhood Thai restaurant less than 2 miles from our house. It's been here for 23 years. We have eaten here more times than I can remember. This is the place that sets the standard for all the other Thai restaurants. Even during the off-season this restaurant is packed full and you'll always have to wait for a table. My wife and I came in for dinner on a Thursday night. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table which wasn't bad considering how packed it appeared to be. I ordered red curry with white rice and pork. My wife ordered lo mein with chicken. The bar is beer and wine only and I had a beer and she had a glass of wine. Within a few moments, the owner had noticed we were there ,came to the table and said hello. By the time our drinks were to the table, we were served a sushi roll that was complementary and sent over by the owner. It's a small place and it was fairly loud but honestly that just shows everyone's having a good time. Our food came out and it was served perfectly. Red curry comes in a large bowl with rice on the side. I like to spoon curry on top of the rice but quite frankly, I can just eat the curry straight out of the bowl. My wife said the lo mein was absolutely delicious. She is not a real fan of spicy foods and the lo mein suits her taste perfectly. One of the best parts about this is, we only eat about half of our food then we box it up and take it home and make another whole meal out of it. All of the food is very consistent here, you get the same thing every time. I would recommend peppermint Thai and sushi to everyone. It's my neighborhood one so come check it out. read more

This Thai restaurant is definitely on our list to come back to for next year! What delicious meals we all had. I ordered the Volcano Sauce Seafood... asked for only shrimp and scallops (no squid or mussels), and ordered it mild to start. Usually when I ask them to hold the mussels or anything else, I don't usually receive a lot of extra shrimp or scallops. But this was an enormous serving of both. All perfectly cooked. My brother had pad Thai w duck. He ordered it a level 3 heat and the bites I sampled were outstanding! I've never had duck that didn't taste greasy or fatty, but this duck was unbelievably delicious. My sister in law ordered a pork curry at level 3 that was also full of flavor and very spicy. My parents shared a pork lo mein which was probably the most flavorful lo mein I've ever tried. And they also ordered a duck dish, that I didn't sample but they enjoyed. I saw some impressive sushi being served. And the fried rice nearby. Everything I saw looked amazing. I think you could order something different and never be disappointed. The serving sizes were very large. We all have lunch for tomorrow. The prices were not bad because of the level of food quality and the extremely generous portion sizes. In case it isn't obvious, I highly recommend this restaurant. :) read more

Food is really good and very reasonably priced. The portions are great. We typically order a couple of appetizers, some rolls and a main dish and we eat it family style. Service quality can depend on how busy it is. On slow days, we get served immediately and the servers check on us often. Busy days, you could be waiting 5-10 minutes before they come see what you'd like to drink. We come here often enough that we know what we want immediately upon sitting down and we've worked in the industry so the wait doesn't bother us much. If that kind of thing bothers you, I suggest going before or after the dinner rush to avoid the wait. The restaurant is deceptive in its appearance. Although it looks small, there is a lot of seating available. There is a mix of booths and chairs, and some tables can accommodate large parties. read more

My boyfriend and I found this place a while ago and it has been a regular date night place for us now. Food is always good and service is great. We always like to try different dishes every time we go, and they don't disappoint. We go there all the time. Everything we have had has been terrific. My favorites are chicken cashew nut( the best I've ever had) and red curry with chicken or shrimp. On a Saturday at 5 pm the restaurant had a pretty nice crowd. It's a decent sized place with plenty of tables and booths. The staff seems exceptionally friendly. Our Server was super nice and we started with some apps. The shrimp in the blanket were nice and crispy, served with a sweet dipping sauce that really complemented the fried outer shell of the shrimp. The chicken wings were fat and juicy, however they lacked any really flavor. They were served with a sweet and spicy chili sauce that definitely helped but eaten alone without that sauce wasn't so amazing. The noodle dishes were delicious. two bowls filled with chicken, shrimp and beef. I should point out that on the menu pork is also listed as a part of the "combination", however there was no pork in either of our dishes. All in all it was a good experience, but obviously there is room for improvement. The broccoli was practically raw and the missing pork was a bit of a let down. The wings could use a flavor boost, but I would be willing to go back again and mention these little things when I order. read more

So a couple days later....I came back for dinner to try the true face of the restaurant ordering from the regular menu outside of their lunch specials. Surprised to see as I was pulling up that again it was standing room only. I said ok, this place has something going right and people are willing to wait. We waited only about twenty minutes as the friendly co owner welcomed us in Thai Tea was cozy and started things for me Penang Duck. Wow. Because of this dish. This restaurant last night became my favorite Thai restaurant I don't remember the last time I had duck so delicious. Tom Kha Seafood. Soup was hearty and so yummy. This place gets it. Dancing Eel hit the spot for me. Slurpy mmmmm I dined here twice in a week and it's looking like it may be three, if I know myself. I know on weekend they're only open for dinner so I may be the first in line. In this span of time, this became my favorite Thai restaurant. A restaurant I did not even know existed in this location. Was hanging out at the kava bar next door and decided to grab some lunch from this place. Very busy around 1:00 in the afternoon. Nice decor inside. I had the JB roll with six pieces of sashimi. We met friends here for dinner on a rainy evening. We'd made reservations but we got there early so no problem although they were fairly busy. By the time we left, they were full with people waiting for tables. I started with some Thai won ton soup thinking that my curry dish would not be very big. The soup was okay -- very light with copious bean sprouts. Our friends got an order of veggie spring rolls. The fried rolls were small and crispy. They were okay. The best of the evening were our dinner choices. The gals both ordered curries -- mine was a shrimp red curry and hers was a tofu and vegetable massaman curry. Both came with a small bowl of white rice. The curries were served in huge deep bowls with lots of sauce and fixings inside. Her massaman was slightly spicy and a touch sweet with chunks of tofu, lots of veggies, nuts, carrots and potatoes. My red curry had a nice amount of shrimp along with bamboo shoots, peppers, and green beans. Both curries were delicious. We both took half our meals home -- as they were such a large portion. The guys both got the same dish -- a duck noodle soup. The base of this soup was wonderful -- so flavorful. There were large pieces of tender duck along with bok choy, bean sprouts, and cilantro. And of course, noodles -- the thin ramen kind. The brown broth would be good even on its own. My husband took half of his large bowl of soup home as well. We were all too full for dessert or anything else. Service was good and the kitchen was fast. Their menu is quite large with many more appealing items -- and we didn't even try any of their sushi offerings. This place is a definite keeper! read more

Had dinner here last night and it was good. I started with the Thai Pork Jerky and then had the combination Pad Thai. I loved that their beer glasses are chilled. So important! I have to say that I love spice/heat. I asked for a 2 on the Pad Thai and it felt like a 4! Whew. If you just want a tiny bit of heat, stick to a 1. But the staff was friendly. Atmosphere wasn't much at all but they sure got busy quick with tables and constant To Go's. I've heard about this place from everyone so was looking to be super impressed. It was decent. Peppermint Thai is a solid Thai & sushi restaurant. I have had my share of their sushi rolls, pad thai, dumplings, spring rolls, and other delights at the restaurant. I've dined in and taken out orders from Peppermint Thai. If you dine in, it's a solid spot to sit and enjoy their Thai and sushi cuisine. The only frustration is if you're trying to do take out. If you call during peak hours to take out, it's highly likely you will obtain a busy signal. So keep that in mind if you're looking to do an order to bring back to the house. There are a number of different dishes that are definitive standouts at Peppermint Thai. For their appetizers, their crispy spring rolls, chicken satay, shrimp in a blanket, and curry puffs are all very tasty. In fact, you could probably get away with just ordering the spring rolls and curry puffs and be satisfied. Their Panang curry with pork is delicious as well as their Pad Thai. If you're able to order it with duck (if it's on special) then do it, as it is very magical. For sushi, their crazy, dynamite, and playboy rolls are standouts. While the first two are fairly standard amongst most restaurants offering sushi, their playboy roll comprises scallops in addition to shrimp tempura and eel and deep-fried. You could probably just order the playboy roll and not need anything else. Very filling. Overall, Peppermint Thai is a solid choice for Thai and sushi cuisine. And the pricepoint is good. read more

We met friends here for dinner and had a wonderful overall experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite a large menu of Thai and Japanese food items to choose. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food they serve here. I chose the Duck Noodle Soup and very glad I did! A very large "Pho sized" bowl, ( and yes, Pho is one of the menu items), filled with a very savory, slightly sweet dark brown broth, LOTS of Duck slices, scallions, bean sprouts, bok choy, and egg noodles. I tried to finish the serving but I just couldn't finish this delicious entree. Our table of four was very satisfied and looking forward to finishing our left overs we had to take home. There is also a small Sushi Bar toward the front of the restaurant if you wish to dine there. As evidenced by the number of take out bags waiting to be picked up, they also are very popular with phone in orders as well . read more
