A colleague recommended this Thai restaurant to me, so my partner and I decided to take our son here for his birthday. The restaurant itself is your typical local Thai spot--nothing overly fancy or extravagant--but sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and inviting. Our waitress, Crystal, was absolutely phenomenal! When I say she went above and beyond, I truly mean it. We never had to wave her down because she always seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even asked. Whether it was refilling drinks, anticipating requests, or offering thoughtful menu recommendations, her attentiveness was unmatched. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and although she's young, she carries herself with remarkable maturity and professionalism. You can tell she's a natural leader. Her customer service far exceeded our expectations. We ordered quite a feast! For starters, we had the chicken wings--five perfectly breaded and fried wings served with Thai sweet chili sauce. They were wonderfully crispy, and the sweetness of the sauce paired perfectly with the crunchy coating. We also ordered two small bowls of Tom Yum soup, one with chicken and one with tofu. Both were absolute flavor bombs! They were served piping hot and loaded with fresh vegetables, tomatoes, mushrooms, scallions, onions, and cilantro. Every spoonful was bursting with bold, authentic flavors. For our entrées, my son ordered the sushi regular combo, which came with miso soup, along with a salmon Philadelphia hand roll. Sushi is his favorite, and he was completely satisfied (and stuffed!). He even had enough leftovers to take home. My partner and I both ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. The rice noodles were a little thinner than we're used to--I'd describe them as "skinny thick" lol--but they soaked up every bit of the delicious house-made chili sauce. The dish was stir-fried with basil, onions, and bell peppers, creating an incredible balance of savory, spicy, and aromatic flavors. Our entrées also came with a choice of soup or salad. We both chose the salad and tried the peanut dressing and the carrot ginger dressing. Both were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the Lovely Duck with ginger sauce, and it did not disappoint. The duck was perfectly crispy, incredibly flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. Crystal asked us how spicy we'd like our food on a scale of 1 to 5. We went with a 3.5, and it was perfect! Hot enough to make us sniffle a little, but not so spicy that we were crying. That's exactly our sweet spot. For dessert, we ordered the Thai sticky rice. My partner was absolutely thrilled to discover they used purple sticky rice instead of the traditional white glutinous rice. He was in absolute heaven! Everything we ordered arrived hot, fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. Combined with Crystal's exceptional service, this made for an outstanding dining experience. I truly hope the owners see this review because Crystal deserves a raise! Visited this location with three friends and we were well taken care of by the staff. My Payathai roll was awesome, as usual, and the house salad with peanut dressing was delicious! Whenever I'm in the area, I always make a stop at Payathai. It's tucked inside a plaza with plenty of parking, which makes grabbing takeout super easy. Most of the time I order to-go, but when I have a little extra time, I love dining in. The restaurant isn't huge, but it has plenty of seating, it's clean, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. I've tried several dishes, Pad Thai, curry chicken with rice, basil wings, and even the edamame, and everything has been flavorful and consistently delicious. You can tell they take pride in their food. If you're in the mood for some really good Thai food, I'd definitely recommend giving Payathai a try. Stopped in for lunch today and later realized I had never written a review for my favorite local Thai spot. Great spot to dine in or carry out! Staff is great always kind and helpful. Wide variety of Thai, Chinese and Japanese choices. Over the years I have had many of them and am never disappointed. Today I had Tom Yum Soup w Shrimp (heat level 4) great flavored broth. On other visits I have had their sushi (rolls and bowls), the duck (especially well prepared) & the payathai delite mmmmm-good as I said I have never been disapointed. My go-to neighborhood spot. After that, hang tight, because every table was taken. I could also overhear the manager taking calls and turning down reservations!!! The service was friendly but could be slow at times. Just make sure you get your waitress' attention and they'll come over. The sushi was good but not anything out this world. Very creative sushi rolls. They turn the AC on right around 5:45-5:50 cuz before that it was very warm in there. Wonderful Thai restaurant in this plaza serving delicious food. Between the Volcano roll and the Thai sweet and sour chicken, I truly liked the chicken much more. The dish bursted with flavors and had a good amount of sauce to eat with your rice. The staff was very friendly. What i liked the most was the owner who was also the cook came to our table to greet us and she was spectacular. She was friendly and kind and even taught us some Thai words. Amazing dumplings!! Such a soft, sweet dumpling! We loved that they are house made. But our favorite part about this restaurant was that for every entree you get to pick an appetizer (soup or salad), we picked the Miso soup. We came on a Friday night and it was quite busy. However, it was but a short wait for an inside table (too cold for us to sit outside -- although some folks were enjoying the patio area). The kitchen was also a bit backed up and the couple servers overwhelmed. And they had a ton of takeout orders stacked up waiting for pickup -- and it was nonstop. Even so, we were not in a hurry so we were fine. Plus we had several nice conversations with our neighboring table customers. I started with a house salad -- which came at the same time as our drinks. The salad had ginger dressing and was just as expected. The server came back later to take our entree orders. (She did the drinks first then the mains -- all in order of who was seated when.) My husband had their build your own sushi bowl. You choose your protein -- he went with sushi salmon -- and your base -- he chose sushi rice -- plus all the toppings that appeal. He liked it. Even the toasted garlic! I had their roast duck noodle soup. It was wonderful. Perfect for a cool night. The broth was so flavorful. Along with the flat rice noodles, there were several nice chunks of boneless duck, scallions, and bean sprouts. I took some of the leftover noodles and broth home. I'd definitely get this soup again. Another local dinner outing and my wife discovered this spot. Small interior seating but a two top was leaving as we arrived and was cleared for us. Drink orders were taken and delivered in short order. We placed our dinners and noticed that the "Take out" orders were coming out and bagged while inside diners had empty space on their tables, including us. After 40+ minutes our orders arrived. Our server apologized, stating they only have two Woks and during heavy volume, orders do back up. (My Sushi bowl did not require the use of a wok, Nor did my wife's Duck Soup.) My Salmon Sushi bowl was quite good and my wife said she would come back for the Duck Soup. An opportunity observed and needs to be remedied ... I just moved to Boynton and wanted to try a Thai place out of the many that are available. I called to order and it was promptly ready in about 20 minutes. Everyone that works at the restaurant is super nice and kept checking on me until my food was ready because I got there a little early. Presentation is great, now to the food and the taste. Edamame were just regular edamame. Nothing crazy. The house spring rolls were stuffed with shredded chicken and it was a little too much chicken in my opinion and a tad dry. The sushi rolls were very good but for some reason the soy sauce that came with it was extremely salty...like not normal tasting to me so I couldn't even use it. The Pad Thai had a bunch of big juicy shrimps and a lot of egg and peanut and onion however, the sauce was a little bit bland. Visited Payathai Restaurant for the first time with friends. They told us it was the best Thai food they have had in the Boynton area. That is a true statement. We settled in to a table off to the side of this low key restaurant. A friendly and knowledgeable waitress greeted us and answered our questions concerning spice level and made great entree suggestions. Soup was ordered as well as Crab Rangoon. The soups were amazing. The Crab Rangoon took a while to get to us and was good. Not something I would order again. The main meals however were outstanding. We ordered beef and vegetable dishes, beef with cashews and shrimp pad thai. Each was a 1 or 2 spice level. The sauces were tasty and unique. The beef was tender and flavorful. The shrimp was plump and delicious; the peanut sauce on the pad thai was thick, spicy and soo good! We will be going back soon!! Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. I got a salmon teriyaki vegetable box. The salmon was fresh and didn't have a fishy taste at all. The tempura was not overly greasy. I liked the little dumplings. It also came with edamame and a spring roll, which was also very enjoyable. For me the highlight was the mango and sticky rice dessert. Not sure how much $12 lunch Special with 2 Soring Rolls became $21. A bit pricey for a weekday lunch. However, it was made on time and rasted great. Location was convenient for me from work. I opted for Shrimp PadThai. It's was okay, sauce needed a little pizzaz, but had 4 large shrimps. Pork Spring Rolls were crunchy and filling with lots of meat. Loved the dipping sauce! We stopped in to order some Specialty Rolls to go. We have been to this restaurant before so we thought we knew what we were getting. Unfortunately that was not the case. The American Dream Roll with eel sauce was totally black! The Mexican Roll was salty and not crispy or crunchy in any way. The food was terrible and we threw it away. A waste of $35! This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. I was there last night and the food was not even close to the past. The Miso Soup tasted very fishy. The Chicken coconut soup was full of onions and was more like a onion soup with no coconut flavor. I sent it backand they simply added more cocconut milk and heated it again. AWFUL! The chicken red curry was also mostly flavorless but seemed to had quite a bit of paprika. Maybe tey used that instead of the red curry? Tha atmosphere is decent. The service is ok. This is one of the best little hidden gems that you will find, I was working at JFK hospital for about three years and went there at least two times a week for lunch. Everything is exceptional. I've introduced this place to so many friends and family members. Last night I came in with my boyfriend and although they were busy , all the food was still spot on and perfect. I always get everything spiced to level 4 and if your a fan of spice I highly suggest you ask them to spice up your noodles, rice or protein. The staff is always super nice and smiley! When I got to the place, after 15mns the food was still not ready and I had to wait a few minutes but thats okay. Food: I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it came with a soup. The soup was alright nothing special, nothing particular but the noodle was really good, a little bit sweet but in total it was good. Price: $11. Best Thai we have had in Boynton! Let's start with the quality of ingredients ,,,,Fresh, top quality!! We started with an included Miso soup. A small starter bowl with the typical Miso delicacy's, tender tofu, seaweed,miso and Scallions. Nice way to start this meal, very satisfying! We moved onto appetizers. We had two different types of dumplings. The steamed shrimp dumplings and dipping sauce was delish, light and flavorful. We also had the fried pork dumplings with its dipping sauce, that verges on decadent , not to be missed! We finished with an order of Beef Pad Thai, we were asked for the amount of heat we wanted. 1-5 1 being No heat and 6 being Thai heat. We opted for 2. We opted right for us! There was heat but not overwhelming This Pad Thai is the best Pad Thai we have ever had. The beef was tender and sliced. The portions are very generous. We also had Shrimp Chop Seuy, this is not your grandparents Chop Suey!! The veggies were so fresh green and sautéed to perfection. This was a very healthy light dish and I highly recommend it! Ordered takeout from here a few days ago and it was quite enjoyable. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. And what we ordered was good. My only complaints is that the sushi menu is incredibly varied. Most of the rolls feature pretty simple choices, shrimp, Kani. I ordered what they bill as their most popular roll and I can't help but feel like any true sushi enthusiast would have judged me for it. I even wondered if the individual who made it had to roll his eyes at another stupid american ordering american-fied "sushi". It was just smothered in that mayo. Of course I don't blame, the restaurant, it was probably designed for the unsophisticated palettes who make up their business, and it was well executed for what it was. I just would have preferred more variety in the types of fish offered and a more simple roll. Also, the ratio of rice to fish in the roll was little off. The prices were great, though they did have a sign warning that the prices would be going up, which was nice of them to advertise, so it doesn't just suddenly change one day and is a total surprise. All in all, I would go back, perhaps try to see if I could get something customized. I bet the chef would be like, fuck yeah, let's do it! And the fish was incredibly delicious. The tuna I picked off the top of the "sex on the moon" roll (I know, I feel silly saying it) was extremely delicious, some of the best tuna I've had recently.
