I love this place. If you are a sushi lover or would like to expose someone else to sushi and/or raw food this is the place. I'm usually slightly turned off at the all you can eat establishments because everyone and their kids are picking over the food. However here they have an order from the menu and they bring your order to the table process. I loved everything I tried. We visited two times to see if it was consistent and it was. The only thing that I feel is missing is boba teas and milk. They do have teas and milk teas but no option for boba. I think that would take it up a notch for the kids. The servers are kind and accommodating. The restaurant itself is beautifully themed and clean. It's actually quite pretty on the inside. They also have a bar. 10 out of 10, it has become apart of my rotation.

Good quality sushi. I definitely got my money's worth of sushi and appetizers with the all you can eat service. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. This is definitely a come back restaurant.

I came here on a double date Saturday and it was so packed. The waiting list upon arrival is a tablet you sign up on but we got lucky and found four bar seats together. The sushi is bottomless and the menu is extensive. It makes you want to try everything. All the sushi is plated nicely and is of decent quality. The last two I tried were my favorite though (cow boy roll and atomic volcano roll). Service was okay. They were pretty busy behind the bar, so I had to ask for a refill (they didn't notice) and plate clearing was not as fast as it could have been. Also, it took forever to get my miso soup. Overall if you can eat a lot, you'll get the bang for your buck. I'd come back. The inside aesthetic is nice. Many people were celebrating birthdays as there was singing throughout the restaurant during our time here. See if you can make a reservation before coming here on popular nights to eat out.

5/5 Stars - Amazing Girls' Night Out at Sushi Yama! We had the absolute best time at Sushi Yama for a fun girls' dinner on one of their all-you-can-eat weekend nights--they host it every Saturday and Sunday, and we were definitely not disappointed! The variety is seriously impressive--there's so much to choose from! We went wild with classic favorites like rainbow rolls and crab rolls, tried some bold ones with steak on sushi (unexpectedly delicious!), and loaded up on all the fresh nigiri and sashimi options. Everything came out tasting super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Must-tries: the mussels are straight-up addictive--so garlicky, buttery, and perfect! They only come with two per order, so if your whole group is doing all-you-can-eat, order extras right away (we kept going back for 4+ rounds). The clam soup was another standout--warm, savory, and the ideal palate cleanser between bites. To top it all off, we paired everything with plenty of sake--hot or cold, it flowed perfectly with the meal and kept the vibes high all night. The endless food, great selection, and relaxed atmosphere made it the ultimate group spot. No one left hungry, and we were all smiling. Highly recommend for anyone craving a fun, unlimited sushi + sake feast on the weekends. We'll definitely be back soon!

Love, love, love this place. Sapporo on draft and never a disappointing meal. So good! Tried the Sexy Jalapeño for the first time and it was great!

We had a great experience dining here. We came on a Friday evening and they were quite busy. There was a line of folks waiting to be seated. We lucked out and found two empty seats at the bar where we had dinner. There are two menus. One is the all you can eat and one is a la carte. We weren't that hungry, so we ordered a la carte. I started with the Kani salad. It was wonderful. I got the "not spicy" one. There were lots of crunchies on top of and mixed into the shredded crab and shredded cucumber. It was served over a bit of lettuce. The dressing was slightly sweet. The dish was very filling and could have been my dinner. After that, I had their shrimp tempura sushi roll. The fried shrimp were lightly battered along side of a nice chunk of avocado and pieces of cucumber. There were five large pieces to the order. My husband had a volcano salad to start. This was a combo of raw tuna, krab, and avocado on top of a seaweed salad. There were also masago fish eggs mixed into the spicy mayo dressing/sauce. After his salad, he had a salmon and avocado sushi roll. He said there was a very generous amount of fish and avocado in the roll. Prices for each of our food items were very reasonable. I think the most expensive item was his hot sake for $9.95. We had good service at the bar. We had nice conversations with everyone seated on either side of us and the staff. We can't wait to return.

The food was fine. The service was pretty good. The ambiance was surprisingly good for a converted Smokey Bones. Picture beams on the ceiling and rustic structure meets Japan. I enjoyed that aspect! My woman did not. She thought it was forced. The food was remarkably meh. Mediocre at best. All you can eat mediocre. If that is what you are looking for then this is your place. But...there are other all you can eat sushi places that are a much better experience for the same price.

Yummy and busy!! Wow does Wellington love this Japanese restaurant! All you can eat AYCE menu is $36 per adult for dinner, it can be a good deal. But we priced out the rolls we wanted and it was under $70 for the 2 of us so this particular night we didn't do the deal. I think in the future it would be fun in a group setting to order everything. Tempura was perfect and light. Great decor, lots to look around and see.

Newly renovated and new tenants, this Sushi Yama location feels fresh and clean and just enough Asian decor. Worth ordering from the all you can eat menu, just pace yourself because excessive leftovers may be charged. We were a party of six and got there around 4pm on a Saturday and everything was made to order and came out quickly as it wasn't very busy yet, but even as it filled up with people, the food still came out pretty quickly-I think the amount of staff on hand helps with this. Everything was amazing, try at least two appetizers, hibachi meats, and at least one roll. Save yourself some room and skip the fried rice. I didn't personally have the fried cheesecake, but apparently it's light and fluffy, not like the typical dense cheesecake. I did have the green tea ice cream, not very strong flavor wise, but definitely taste the cream.

Perfect spot to go to if you love sushi and are VERY hungry. The menu is wide and varied, with all kinds of sushi's, appetizers, and hibachi dishes. I got the crab salad, double JB roll, and spicy tuna roll. The crab salad was light, refreshing, and flavorful; a nice way to start the meal. The double JB roll isn't your typical JB roll, so I was a little thrown off but it was still great! And the spicy tuna roll was a great classic to end on. Our waitress was nice and attentive. It was pretty busy the night we went but we didn't feel it because she was on top of things. Overall, a great sushi spot to go to with a group or just a really hungry duo.

solid AYCE sushi! cute lively place and good for large parties. they do not take reservations. large parking lot. fun birthday celebration :) nice diverse menu - noodles, rice, sashimi, apps, special rolls, soups, salads and more! something for everyone. AYCE quality usually makes me skeptical but everyone thought the food was great. service was a little slow and wonky but it was packed in there and we were a large group. red dragon roll was super tasty. i would definitely come back!!!

We finally made it to Sushi Yama and it was an outstanding experience!! We walked in and were seated right away. You could tell a lot of details went into decorating this restaurant. Japanese art on the walls, lanterns, bamboo patterns, and Bonsai trees along the ceiling of the bar. The servers were kind and fast. And to top it all off, the food was delicious!!!! The rolls had a lot of pieces and had so much flavor. Our party of 4 was blown away with flavors from all the dishes that came out. Thanks for a great night out!! Ginger salads & Miso Soups Pan fried dumplings Bubba Gump Roll. So delicious !!!! Volcano Roll. The presentation was chefs kiss!!! Chicken Yaki Soba

We waited for menu which seemed ridiculous as we were literally the only people there. The server did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. I asked about the size of the TomKha soup and if they made their own tonkotsu broth. (He said no so ramen was off the table). They didn't have a big pot of TomKha which seems odd for a Thai restaurant. So then I asked about the curries. Which was his favorite. He really didn't have an answer. I asked about massaman curry and asked if it was yellow curry (traditional red, green and yellow curry can be found at most that restaurants). He said it was a little orange, yellow. But it had potato, which is generally a yellow curry, so I just ordered it. When the food came it was beautiful! Colors were vibrant and ingredients were fresh. I'm really picky when it comes to pad Thai, and this was excellent! The yellow curry was really good but would have liked to have been able to add a little spice to it when being prepared. Broccoli was a bit al dente but overall it was very good. We had to get up and request the bill and to go boxes. The server just disappeared. Again... There was one other couple that came in while we were there. Why are we waiting? Clearly we were done and ready for the next step. The service was just really bad! Anyway.. overall, the food is definitely good. We will be back to try the other curries and menu items. I just hope the service is better, because this time around it was really lacking!

All rolls tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would not order the dumplings or the toro sashimi again. The filling in the dumplings was bland and mushy, while the toro sashimi was weirdly cut. It's usually the melt-in-your-mouth tuna, but instead it was meaty in a bad way. The calamari was just okay. Restaurant was big, spacious, and clean. It was my first time trying an all-you-can-eat restaurant where everything is made to order and brought to your table instead of the traditional buffet. You pay one fixed price, then everyone just keeps ordering until they're completely full. The sushi selection is extensive, along with a variety of other dishes, although you probably won't need much else. Plate after plate of sushi keeps arriving at your table, freshly made, incredibly fresh, and cut to order. I really disliked the tempura roll, it was mushy, it felt like a warm purée instead of a roll. Go hungry--you definitely won't regret it. The service was very good, and while the restaurant itself isn't particularly memorable, it's clean and pleasant. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the seating. Some booths are placed very close together, so instead of feeling like we had a private table for three, it almost felt like we were sharing one long table with nine people.
