I always like the food at sushi mura. The quality is there, with fresh fish and cooked items. I like the mura bento box here as it is different from the usual bento boxes of teriyaki protein with California roll, salad and the same old nigiri of salmon, tuna and prawn at many other Japanese restaurants. The mura bento box has 9 items with miso soup. It is like a teishoku or makunouchi. I like how the items are not the typical stuff. Everything is delicious. The chawanmushi could be more delicate and softer. The portion is quite a lot if you're a small eater or had something before coming here. Service is good. Staff is pleasant. The other thing I don't like is the touch screen ordering system. You cannot swivel it to face you so you get a crick in the neck from tilting and turning your head to look at it. Not sure if they still have a physical menu for those who have limited neck mobility. I like that it's next to Paris Baguette so you can go there before or after dining here.

The restaurant is very clean, service is quick and they were happy to fill tea or water. The food is fresh, doesn't feel too salty or sweet as at the time of visit I had a bit of pain in my mouth, but their food were not too extreme. Would recommend this restaurant.

Solid seafood place near Coquitlam Centre…read more Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The place looks nice and modern. Comfortable cushy chairs, and wooden trim. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

Kids liked the Lobster Quesadilla so now we know for next time. Littlest didn't want the lobster roll so I ended up eating two Classic Rolls and 5 hours later, I'm still really full (also had ice cream elsewhere but you know, Mother's Day calories don't count). Will try getting here at 11 on the dot next time since it got busy really quickly. Very friendly, efficient service! No bathroom in sight and eating is only outside on hard metal stools. Maybe a rainy day would dampen the crowd.

It is conveniently located a few walks from Rocky Point Park and has a outdoor undercovering area to eat with about 3 tables that fit 4 and some counter seats along the wall. I order the Classic Lobster Roll and the Hot Lobster Grilled Cheese. The Classic Lobster Roll didn't have as much chunky pieces of Lobster meat as I would have expected in a Lobster Roll. The meat was minced and is a lobster mix as described. The Hot Lobster Grilled Cheese was the highlight for sure! It had large pieces of lobster meat with the gooey cheese! The Hot Lobster Grilled Cheese was described as a lobster mix as well but possibly it was just the of the luck of the scoop of lobster that made the difference! The service was quick and our order was ready within mins. I would love to come here again to try out their chowders and lobster quesidilla as well! This would be the perfect place for a bite before the park or to bring to the park or breweries nearby!

And while there are no shortage of seafood restaurants serving fresh crab on the Steveston waterfront, we wanted to give The Crab King a fair shake. I'm so glad that we did! My wife ordered a King Crab for herself which, after tearing it literally limb-from-limb, eventually declared it to be tied for her favorite boiled crab dish anywhere! High praise coming from such a consummate crustacean connoisseur! For myself and our son, an order of fish and chips, and the grilled chicken sandwich rounded out our order, both of which were crispy, tasty and delicious. Regarding the fish and chips, they appeared to be tempura-battered, and I'm still not 100% sure what type of fish it was. It may have been cod, but it seemed more like catfish, but either way, it was tender, juicy, flaky and delicious. No complaints here! More than anything, though, the employees here went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. Our toddler son, who is normally extremely well-behaved in restaurants, was having a bit of a fuss here and there. Without prompting, the servers brought us a little radio to play music for him, as well as a couple of toys to play with, one of them being a wind-up truck that they gave to him to take home! He loved it there, and still plays with it at home! They even played peek-a-boo with him from behind the counter, soliciting laughs and giggles, for the better part of 15 minutes! That sort of customer service is nearly impossible to find, and should be praised and cherished wherever it is found! Whatever the past may have held for this restaurant, the Crab King is an entirely new animal now, serving up fresh seafood by uncommonly wonderful employees, in a fantastic floating location. They even offer to cook spot prawns and other seafood purchased from the boats docked at the nearby waterfront marketplace, for a modest fee. With all these things going for it, there's no doubt who wears the crown of Crab King in Steveston Harbor!
