My first time in a rotary sushi bar... after seeing lots of videos of similar set up in Japan. This was very exciting as the food was coming on a conveyer belt or on a train! The place looked clean, interaction with the server was minimal. They did stop by if requested on the table tablet. I can't quite comment on the food as I had some vegetarian food, but this place is clearly for folks who eat fish.

Sushi Plus is one of our favorite spots for date night. We've been going to the location in Chinatown for years, but when we moved out to the suburbs, we were so glad that we could continue having sushi date nights at Sushi Plus. (Plus, our little stamp cards could still be used.) There are no reservations so if you plan on coming at a peak time, be prepared to wait. The times that we've dined here are "early dinner" times. We'll try to get here before 6pm, otherwise the place fills quickly and you could be waiting 30 minutes to 1+ hours especially on a weekend. If you call ahead to ask, they can provide an estimate for the current wait time. The process: sushi and other items (seaweed salad, hand rolls, nigiri, edamame, dessert) circulate on a conveyor belt, if you see something, you'll slide open the clear doors to the conveyor belt and take your plate. The plates are colored and expected to stack in a pile off to the sides of your table. The waiter will tally your total the end of your meal. There is a tablet at each table where you can order drinks, appetizers, sushi, miso soup, ramen, karaage, and other items from the kitchen. These items, save for the ramen and soup things that can spill, arrive on semi truck carrier that follows a track to- and from the kitchen and is programmed to arrive tableside. Your server will bring drinks, soups, and other items as needed/requested. The sushi and experience here is not the quality of an omakase experience, and it's not meant to be! It's casual, it's fun, and we love coming here for a date night to take a break from our routine. It's an entertaining place too; at the entrance there are several claw machines with cute stuffies that are rotated out once in a while. You can purchase tokens at the check-in desk. And I'm just making the connection now; the after a date night here, I feel the way I might feel after going to a carnival or state fair. Sated, entertained, and full of nostalgia.

This is my wife's and my go-to spot for fun, interactive sushi in Aurora. While there are plenty of other sushi places nearby, we prefer Sushi Plus for their large, thick-cut sashimi pieces--the quality for the price is tough to beat. I personally love the mackerel, which is one of their most affordable plates but still delicious. The vibe has been great ever since they moved to this location. It's also a plus that the staff is friendly and speaks Cantonese; they always provide excellent service!

Disgusting!!! While dining at a restaurant in Aurora, we were served water with full of ice in a metal cup. After drinking most of it, we discovered foreign objects at the bottom of the cup -- including what appeared to be a used tissue and a plastic lid.consider the serious food safety issue,we refused them to wave our bill and called the police to get the report.

We thought this place was okay. We likely won't make the trek out though again. Hosts and wait staff were lovely to be clear! The entire place is very flashy, and was visually stimulating and surprisingly packed with people for a Thursday at 6:30pm. Disappointed in the lack of a table dish return slots. And the majority of the options felt very Americanized. Put us back about $68 minus a decent tip which wasn't bad. The toddlers greatly enjoyed themselves but we just felt too overwhelmed in the space for a rotary sushi spot. Appreciated the quality chop sticks & high chairs though!

This is not a place to go for if you want good sushi. I've tried tons of places around the suburbs and in the city and this is by far the worst one. I love a fun revolving sushi place but the fish quality is just not there. I'm a big nigiri and sashimi girl when it comes to sushi spots and I could barely finish my first plate because somehow it tasted both fishy and without flavor? However, if you're looking for a fun activity this place could be it. The atmosphere is fun and modern, they have cool lights and a claw machine. I can see kids loving it here, but for how much they're charging for below average quality I wouldn't even recommend that. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because every staff member we interacted with was very attentive and kind, absolutely no hate to them!!

We're absolutely thrilled that this new location finally opened! We've been waiting for quite sometime! It's right next to Park to Shop. It has such a bright & inviting atmosphere with plenty of tables that give a spacious feel. The food quality remains the same, but the ambiance takes it to the next level compared to their old spot. The service was outstanding, our party of 10 was accommodated with ease. We had a fantastic time! Our total bill came to $327 before tips, so about $32-$35pp, no alcohol. Highly recommend checking it out!

Fun place to have sushi, I usually end up spending about $35-$40 per person. They do not take reservations and the wait can be very long if you come on a Sat. evening after 5p. About half the seating are next to the conveyor belt and the other half are not. It's more fun when you are by the conveyor belt so that you can pick up food that looks good as they go by. You can also conveniently order a la cart from the tablet that are at the table. Some favorites: dragon maki, hotate nigiri, tamago mentai nigiri, strawberry crepe Hot green tea $3 Sapporo/Asahi beer $6 Ikura/roe nigiri (2) $6 Shrimp tempura mix $8 .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

We have been coming to this place for a long time and truly love their food. After moving to a new location, the experience has become absolutely amazing! The food remains just as delicious, but now the visit itself is even more exciting. I really like how they have designed the space - the stylish interior creates a wonderful atmosphere. A huge plus is the power outlets at every table, which is incredibly convenient. And the delivery carts bringing the food are impressive not only for kids but also for adults! Everything is glowing with lights, adding to the unique ambiance. They also have a children's menu, which is very convenient for families with kids. And the presentation is fantastic - the food is served on a plate shaped like an airplane, which absolutely delights the little ones! On top of that, their bonus loyalty system is still in place, which is a nice touch. Overall, we love this place even more now--not just for the great food and consistently friendly service but also for the fantastic experience it offers!

We love going to sushi plus! It's always a treat going there since it IS pricey. For the 4 of us plus a baby, the bill came out to 148 pre tip. I had the soft shell crab salad, fried shumais (yum), a kids bento box and plenty of sushi from the rotary. This time they had a psyduck coconut pudding, which seemed a bit less sweet and more dense than a typical normal one they would serve, but still good! It was definitely larger. Always great service as well. Going a on weekday for dinner is perfect, no wait and always impressed with the rotary constantly being filled.

    Salmon sashimi
    Annie K.

Came here with my boyfriend and to say the least we were very surprised. We came here for a quick bite, and weren't expecting much. But the salmon sashimi was so fresh and thick. I've never been to a place where they are so generous with the sashimi. My boyfriend also had a different type of white fish sashimi(I forgot the name) but he said it was the best he's ever had. Overall great sashimi, no fishy taste or slimey texture. It is slightly expensive but considering it is rotary I would say it's worth it to stop by for a quick bite. Definitely go to AYCE for a full meal though.

I have been to the Sushi Taku restaurant on Division countless times. I went with friends and did all-you-can-eat. My favorite item we had was the salmon and yellowtail carpaccio which we ordered separately off of the menu. It was flavorful and tasted fresh. It can be a little hard to remember all of what I ate since our group was grabbing plates based on how it looked instead of just the name. The Philadelphia roll tasted great. There were 1-2 tempura rolls which were okay. The sauce used on the octopus balls was amazing! I wish I could put that sauce on everything! It was so savory with some umami flavor as well. The creme brulee was okay, I wouldn't try it again. I think it could have had more flavor and-/or sweetness. The mochi as always was great. The coconut ice cream was a surprise in how great it tasted!

First time at a Rotary Sushi spot and I had an absolute blast! I visited for Valentine's Day dinner…read morebut had no issue getting a table for two at 5pm. They unfortunately don't do reservations for a group as small as 2 people; but for a bigger group, call ahead. The inside had an elegant aesthetic with four rotary lines all connected to the back kitchen area. One is sat at a table with an ipad to view the menu, ingredients in each item, and lists out beverages you can order. The table comes with chopsticks and soy sauce but one can call the attendant for utensils, water, or your check. It's $3.69 for every plate grabbed from the rotary. Once you finish the plate, you discard it into the table slot. The ipad tracks your plate count and for every 10 finished, you get a gachapon toy from the machine above the central rotary track. If you like wasabi or ginger, no worries as these are constantly in rotation to grab. Our favorites of the evening were the vegetable rolls, crab rangoon, tempura sweet potato roll, and the different nigiri's (umami beef, spicy kani, seared scallop, etc). If you don't see a roll on the rotary you wanted, check the ipad as you may be able to order for no upcharge. The nice robot on the top track will bring your dish right out to the table! If you're looking for a fun way to try new sushi rolls or give kids an interactive sushi experience, this is the spot to go! Tip: They have a punch card for every $25 spent. Once you hit 10 punches, you can spin the wheel for a discount. Pro Tip: While we got there early to avoid a wait, the more crowded the restaurant got... the better the rotary selections we saw.

Neat to try, good sushi, lots of gimmicks…read more In Illinois for a random trek. Decided to try a different style of rotary sushi place to see how it compares. Place is on the end of a shopping plaza. Not much to see but it looked clean and inviting. Staff was kind and explained the process. This place functions like I would expect. Each plate is a set price, you pick what you want and feed the plate into a chute on the side for your tally. If you don't find something on the conveyor belt, then you get a tablet and put it in to be shuttle delivered to your table. It's very cool to watch and be a part of. So that aspect was fun. The sushi was okay but heavily Americanized. Lots of heavily sauced and beef options. No seasoning of the rice, Tamago had torched spicy mayonnaise on top but was cold, some rolls were composed well but others were kind of bland. We did have a volcano roll that was not great. Still had to pay for the plate, which was not fun. Thankfully not much got wasted. A rotary sushi place is a gimmick in of itself. It's a good operating model, but it's a rarity in the states so there is that appeal to try something new. Then there's the plate game, if you feed ten plates into the chute you get a capsule prize. Then you get a frequent diner card that if you pay 25 dollars you get a stamp and if you get 10 stamps you get to spin the prize wheel. I appreciate game systems, but this place skirts that edge of too many. As a restaurant, it's neat to try and not too bad on price for decent sushi. There's a lot going on, but if you focus on the food then it's a nice place to have a bite.

One day, finding myself in the area of the Boystown location and not wanting something heavy or large, I decided to stop in. Just like the Chinatown location, this one also DELIVERS. My apologies if any information seems redundant. The quality and variety of the food are excellent! There is something here for everyone, from basic items to more creative options. While there are some things I don't get due to personal taste, I don't believe I had a single bad dish here. Next, I feel that the prices were reasonable for what was received. While some items are more expensive than others, we live in a world where the dollar store is now the "dollar-25 store." So, no issues there... plus, some cheaper places just load cheap crab sticks into everything, which is definitely not the case here. When it comes to the concept, I love the idea and how it is executed. Dishes roam around on the conveyor belt, and you can order anything you want directly from the iPad. Such orders arrive on the upper rail (road?) in under five minutes! There's also a button to call a server, who shows up within a minute. While the focus is clearly the conveyor belt, there is some pleasant, fun, and appropriate decor. Finally, I love that there's a long table specifically for pairs or individuals. This allows for much more efficient use of space when one person isn't taking up a table that could otherwise seat four. Especially since their space seems smaller than that of Chinatown, this indicates intelligent design (always a fan!). Thus, perhaps I shall soon become a regular here too. It all depends on what part of town I'm in when a sushi craving sets in!
