I love Sushi Q! I order from here all the time, one of my favorite neighborhood takeout spots. Everything is fairly portioned, fresh, and delivery is very fast. They know me when I call too :). The best! Order for myself or for a big group of friends - they always do it right.

The soup was rich in flavor but little tofu/ seaweed.

Good food. Happy with the maki lunch special. Spicy tuna/spicy salmon was better then usual spots as it had extra sauce... was not happy that I asked for soup and got salad... called and told them and they said there was nothing for them to do. I would have gave 4/5 if it was not for this. If you spend hard earned $ you need to know you are getting what you ordered and not get stressed out from a bad phone interaction.

1/1 Service; 2/3 Food; 1/1 Value Sushi Q is a modest, cozy eatery with a very warm and friendly staff. There are some tables with limited seating for a casual bite. The kitchen is open concept, so you can see the sushi chefs preparing the rolls to order. I ordered the spicy salmon, spicy kani, shrimp avocado, eel cucumber, chicken tempura, krunchtime fitness rolls and a miso soup for takeout. Miso soups are often an overlooked side, but the soup, albeit mildly salty, is incredibly rich, savory, and full of umami and deserves that recognition. My favorite rolls were the salmon avocado and the krunchtime fitness, both of which were light and delicious owing to each ingredient standing out with fresh and robust flavors. The spicy salmon, spicy kani, and chicken tempura were also rather good. These three were really jammed pack with their respective fillings. However, I didn't really like the amount of sauce that was both in the salmon and kani rolls themselves and then added again to the top. I felt like I could decant off all the sauce and dip other rolls into that spicy mayo, and it would still be enough. I did not like the eel cucumber much because of too strong of a saltwater taste, easily being the only thing I didn't enjoy. Overall, Sushi Q was a good experience with satisfying food at a superb deal! The $39.95 sushi roll platter with the five rolls and a special roll is sufficient for 2-3 servings at less than $7 a roll. I would definitely be down to patron a second time despite the few setbacks all things considered

Yum yum yum Prices are awesome as well Taste great. Love the avocado rolls and the spicy crab rolls! Fast and well packaged

I am a first timer, but we do know others who have ordered from Sushi-Q's and they love it. The place is small and can only seat about 8 folks at most. They do however seem to do very well in their pickup/delivery service. As for me I can safely say that this is now one of our "Go to" places. The service and food is absolutely fantastic! I love the fact that the staff made us feel confortable. Though small in square footage, I truly enjoyed eating there. A big thumbs up to the staff. Stop by or order online. Every order is made fresh and the delivery of your orders are made in a timely manner. Order now, you won't be disappointed.

This place is so trashy! I found a roach in my food today. Don't waste your money or risk your health. Aside from that the service was the worst. And the place has a dingy ambiance

Decided to give Sushi Q a shot at takeout. Was happy with the way everything was packaged. We ordered spicy crab salads and the HD construction roll. The salads were okay, they were very wet and saturated with Mayo which didn't make it so enjoyable. The HD construction roll was good but it was too powerful, a lot going on in that roll and too much special sauce. These were the only 2 items we tried, I won't order these items again, but I will eventually give Sushi Q another chance and order different items off the menu

I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

I also enjoy the kitchen apps and entrées- the miso eggplant and agedashi tofu are great appetizers. The salmon teriyaki is always perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh vegetables. As other reviewers have mentioned- the construction of the rolls can suffer at times- for me this usually looks like 1 at most 2 pieces losing their integrity when I pick them up. My friends and I agree that this is Riverdale, not A sushi hotspot desitation and we would rather sacrifice a point on the physical construction /proper sushi technique than go somewhere else that has beautiful perfectly rolled sushi- with less fresh fish or rolls that are more rice than filling. Also- the sushi IS good! I usually go for salmon, tuna and a sweet potato tempura roll The lunch specials (monday-saturday until 3:15 pm) are a really good deal and come with pretty good miso soup and a fresh side salad. I am appreciative that they run a little later in the day as well. Aoyu has always been very reasonable abt modifications- there is no upcharge for brown rice for lunch bento- easy to request veggie instead of pork gyoza, and I really don't like crab- imitation or otherwise- so they always let me sub a cucumber avocado roll instead. Thanks for being such a great restaurant in riverdale Aoyu!

I was a little disappointed but I decided I was there already so I would work with what they had to offer. I saw they had a decent happy hour menu, but I decided to order a drink that was not on the Happy Hour menu. Their version of a Lychee Martini. It was strong and flavorful, but very refreshing. For my tapas options I went with some Arancini and Zucchini flowers. I didn't want too much to eat after having such a huge breakfast. The arancini was flavorless but really good with the marinara sauce it came with, and to my surprise the zucchini flowers were amazing. It was piping hot, crispy with the most intense cheese pull, served with some spicy sauce and marinara as well. I went back and forth with dipping them into each condiment. I told the guy who took my order and served me that they should bottle that marinara, it was delicious. After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.

Between my first review and now, Ikko has maintained their relevance. They've kept up by offering decent Asian inspired apps and entrees. At the tail end of Covid they pivoted to include Seafood Boils as an option. Not a fan of boils so unsure how that option is going. Another option, Hibachi, which we also are not big fans of, unless forced upon us by friends or family. Is prepared on these red glowing tables and appears to appeal to the masses, so that's a good thing. During our visits, generally on the early side of dinner hours, service has always been attentive and our meals, most often than not are prepared as expected. There has been the occasional slight hiccup while dining in or when ordering for delivery, but nothing major. The aesthetics of this place continues to appeal with their colorful facade. And their interior is just as inviting with ambient lighting of red hues throughout the restaurant, enhancing the Asian inspired statues and textured wall designs. It's nice that Ikko has kept up with this large piece of real estate, providing decent meals and continuing to keeping themselves relevant within the neighborhood.
