First time here and it did not disappoint! The sushi was prepped very quickly and if you get one of the special rolls, you get miso soup AND ginger salad! I got a #8, (I think it was called the "munch crunch"?) and it was pretty good! The eel sauce had a sweet kick to it. I also tried the #10 which is called the Derby and I think that was more to my liking! The prices are reasonable. The service was terrific. And its quality sushi. Expensive and mediocre. If you're craving for Kbbq it's worth traveling north for really good food. I feel like downriver asian food is half assed because it may be new to downriver people so they don't know what it's suppose to taste like. So the restaurant doesn't put effort in cooking. This place may not seem like much pulling into it but it definately has the service game down. The selection of rolls is great some even come out on fire if you are into that. The food tasted good and it's nice that they have Korean grill options for the non sushi eater. My boyfriends sister didn't wind up liking the sushi as it was her first time ever eating it and the managers came out and suggested a noodle dish for her to try instead. This is a neighborhood gem! We stopped on our way from Washington DC to the Henry Ford Museum in nearby Dearborn. As my wife and I really enjoy Asian food, we found this by using Yelp reviews. The food and service were outstanding! We started with vegetable sushi and cha cha sushi (a tempura roll)....both were great and the cha cha was CRUNCHY and spicy! My first time trying this sushi place and I was not impressed by the service. The sushi rolls were good, but because of the service I will most likely not be returning. They took an hour to bring out three sushi rolls, and never brought out the avocado salads we ordered. The waitress didn't appear at all worried at the fact that the salads never came out. When we asked for the bill she said she'd remove the salads since they never came out. As if she was doing us a favor! This would be my second time here. The first time no so enjoyable. But this time it's was great. Our server Emily was wonderful and very attentive. They made a roll that was not on their menu and she even priced matched it. If you me looking for a nice place with a very calming environment and great sushi I highly recommend it. I placed a carry-out order through the Yelp app. I got a confirmation email that my order was received and would be ready ASAP. When I arrived at the restaurant approximately 20min later (Valentine's Day... I assumed they would be busy) I was told that they didn't have my order. I showed the hostess my email confirmation, and then she looked at the computer and said that she doesn't know how I received that as the order was sitting unprocessed in their system (so... they did have my order). Then I was told that they were too busy and stopped doing carry-out orders. Not only did no one care to contact me so I wouldn't have to drive there for nothing, but they were also unwilling to accommodate me. Unacceptable and horrible customer service. SUSHI Q is my usual go to place for sushi or hibachi, that being said I felt it necessary to write this review upon my most recent visit...this place has really went down hill since opening. They used to have very good service and waitresses. For this visit the waitress was terrible, I ordered shrimp udon and recived a vegetable soup, I would had mentioned something but she went MIA for about 40 minutes and that's when she brought us the sushi rool we have been waiting on for 50 minutes...also the other waitress jokingly said that the boss has been away and that they have been out of chicken...who the hell manages this place read more

They have a couple good rolls and nothing is bad in regards to taste very Baseline. However I could come in with a gift card they get rude as hell. Reminding the customers that they cannot tip from a gift card which I wasn't going to do anyway and it was very unprofessional and not appropriate to receive as a first-time customer. They have some of the best sushi around (the misty was my favorite!) for really good prices, free soup and salad with meal, and the staff was great! The waitresses were friendly and helpful. Horrible service. No one has any idea what is going on. There is zero communication here. The manager is no where to be found. Apparently he takes off all the time from what the workers say. I placed a carryout and paid over the phone with my credit card and when I got there they didn't have it. Apparently there was a shift change and my order suffered and it was a pretty big order. Then I got charged for someone else's order on top of my order i placed on the phone. Had to give me a refund for an order that wasn't even mine. I had to wait an additional 20 mins for my food, which should of been done when I got there. VERY SLOW. Got the California Roll with Cream Cheese ($5) and Philadelphia Roll ($6.50) I ordered online for pickup. Online said it would take about 45 minutes, but I figured that wouldn't be right since they weren't difficult to make. I got there in about 15 minutes (maybe a little more) and the girl had it all ready for me. I had paid online and just went in, grabbed it, and left. It was super simple. California roll was about how expected to be. It wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I didn't care much for the Philadelphia roll but that is more because I don't like strong fish taste (that being said, it was probably fresh which is good!) My boyfriend ate it and liked it just fine. There was only one other person eating inside from what I scene. I don't really pay mind to who eats there since I, myself, prefer to pick up and eat at home, so I can't judge a place for being busy or not. Overall the transaction and pickup was a breeze and appreciate, but the sushi was average. I might be back to try more on the menu. read more

I hate to rewrite a previously positive review but since my first visit and 5 star review the quality and consistency has gotten questionable. First visit was perfection!! Ordered a bunch of rolls and inari which was presented in a roll. Second time placed the same order and received the inari not in rolls but rather maybe 10 1 inch pieces....I paid 4 or so bucks for that?!?! I didn't complain or go back as its 25 min drive one way. Last night shelled out almost 50 for food....First they were out if inari second they were out of shiso. Got home and found that most of the asparagus roll was falling apart second the plum cucumber roll was also mostly all open and spilling out but also half of it didn't even have plum in it. The restaurant was NOT busy...yet its like they just half ass threw the order together and really didn't give a crap. I messaged the business and received no response. At this point I can say that the drive and money isn't worth the inconsistent food quality or preparation..VERY DISAPPOINTED AND IRRITATED! read more

Our first experience with Sushi Q was horrible - but after the owner found out about it they went above and beyond to make up for it. They really do care about their customers and business. The food was good - much better than we were expecting for the area that we're in, and it was well worth it.
