Texas Fire Roll, Playboy Fire Roll, and Aloha Roll are excellent. The biggest problem is there are so many rolls to choose from. Me and my wife had 5 rolls between us and they were all excellent. This is now our favorite place for sushi. They are located where Kami Sushi was. read more

I can't say anything regarding the vibe of the restaurant itself as I've never been inside BUT I've passed by quite a few times and it seems to be a fairly lowkey establishment! Food was absolutely amazing, and this place definitely earns the "best sushi place I've found" award (if there can be one)! I can't say I'll order it through doordash again, though that's no fault of the establishment or my driver! I just compared menu prices for the exact things I ordered and well... their fees more than doubled the price... so that kind of sucks, but again, no fault to the restaurant or my driver... just the platform I used to place the order. Great food, just be leary of ordering from here on doordash. The waitress offered to connect to their printer to print it, but spent 15 minutes attempted to connect but to no avail. After wasting 15 minutes, I just gave up and paid full price and pending a refund from yelp. Ordered the Sushi Special (9 pcs sushi 1 roll of choice / fish roe sushi). Sushi was subpar, inconsistent. Some pieces were tender while other were borderline bubblegum chewy. Rice was old and microwaved before they used it. Miso soup was okay. read more

Too expensive for portions. And had a take out order. It was 28.39 and it was a tiny bowl of rice with chicken and shrimp. Look like plain white rice with soysauce. When I ask for hibachi rice which I thought was rice mad with garlic butter. I don't recommend unless you just like bland food. read more

I feel bad for what the wairesses have to endure with one if the chefs. I have been here a few times and would of continued to come back because i like their sushi however after tonight i will never be back and will make sure other people know because of how RUDE and uncalled for the 1 chef was. My friend and i ordered a few different rolls to split we were celebrating my birthday- the one roll we ordered was not what we ordered and totally differently than the description on the menu as well- the waitress was very nice and professional and made us feel like it was okay shed would take care of it and asked if we wanted to order a different roll so we did well we were going to until the chef starting talking about the waitress and belittling her and kept talking about us loudly too. It was the most uncomfortable atmosphere i have ever encountered at a restaurant. The waitress tried her hardest to compensate for his actions when she was the center of his remarks. I wish the owner was there to experience what happens in that place. I hope that waitress who was personable attentive and great at what she does can find a place that she does not have to put up with that! If it wasn't for that chef I would of continued going back and introducing more patrons to that place- get rid of that chef and maybe we will be back! read more

This place is so cute and the people who work here are so dang sweet. Jason, the manager, gave my family and I dessert on the house after we all ordered and enjoyed several different roles! I really enjoy this place every time I go and the waitresses are always awesome. The delivery through Grubhub is always quite on point as well. Tonight I ordered Sushi Q through DoorDash and it told me they were closed (which they weren't) and I also couldn't order half of the items I wanted to. I worked with Caroline at the restaurant to get my order correct and talked with a DoorDash representative to confirm they could put my order through. Although it took DoorDash forever to get their ducks in a row (2 hours), Caroline was awesome keeping in contact with me and calling DoorDash herself. In an attempt to find a better local sushi spot, we decided to wander into Sushi Q on whim. They were very busy! We ended up sitting at the sushi bar because of the lack of tables, but that's not a problem for us. The sushi was good, but not really memorable. In a pinch, it did the job. The waitress we had was incredibly kind and apologetic for how long the wait was, so it seemed like that was not the norm for them. We came here twice to try the restaurant. Both times we walked out without ordering. My wife orders gluten free, and I realize some restaurants cannot easily accommodate us. But this was worse than most--I would have been okay if they just omit soy sauce, but all their meats were pre marinated with soy sauce, and soy sauce was also added to their salad dressings. So no real options for her on the menu. Note the first time we tried it the owner came to talk to us in person and apologized--he said he intended to have Tamari sauce on hand but had run out. He promised to make us anything we like gluten free. So we promised to come back. But when we returned he was not at the restaurant and there was no Tamari sauce available. I was hoping for Korean food, but there are only six Korean entrees on the menu, none of them gluten free. So don't be fooled by the sign that says "Korean and Japanese" because it's basically just sushi. I don't think we will be back. There are plenty of Asian restaurants downriver that are more than accommodating to us. We went across the street to eat at Outback and had a fabulous meal and terrific service. read more

I used to come here back when it was sushi kami, and I was in the area and decided to stop for sushi. And to be honest it blew the old place out of the water. All of the staff were so friendly. I had the gyoza and shared a few rolls with my friend and everything was delicious. I saw that they had hibachi on the menu and I saw a plate on the table next to mine and it smelled so good. Our first visit here. Our family really enjoyed it. Friendly and prompt service. Food was terrific. We ordered a variety of rolls, 11 in total. The Sushi Q roll was amongst our favorites. We also ordered 6 orders of sashimi. Yellowtail, salmon, and tuna. All delicious. Cut and served very nicely. We will definitely be back and will also take advantage of their Door Dash participation. I went here on a Tuesday because Black Pine Tree was unexpectedly closed. I came in with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The night was off to a great start with the complimentary miso soup and ginder dressing salad. I like very simple rolls, to me the quality of fresh fish is outweighs any cool specialty ingredients. For a little under $6, the spicy salmon roll had the most fatty, fresh, and savory salmon! My friend got the vegetable tempura udon soup and that was tasty as well! This place is small but it offers quite a menu. The staff here is very friendly and nice and they are helpful to help you understand what each roll is. We had 5 rolls, Texas Fire Roll, Zig Zag Roll, Red Bull Roll, Monster Roll, Lobster Roll. They all were really good, the Red Bull tastes just like a Roast Beef sandwich. The lobster roll was really crunchy and a great flavor the Zig zag is a big roll and alot of taste in it, the Texas Fire roll has seared steak on top and they light it on fire when they bring it out. The monster roll just tasted like every other roll. Then afterwards I ordered a Sushi & Sashimi platter to go for my brother (I'm a nice brother). All in all the food is really great damn near perfect. The only thing wrong is they dont have a liquor license yet but the hot tea is really good and soothing. All in all the food was excellent I will definitely come back here again and i recommend this to all sushi lovers. read more

A great sushi stop! Don't hesitate to try out this little gem. We found this restaurant on Yelp after an evening hockey game, as we aren't from the area. Although it has only been open two months, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and guided us to exactly what we wanted. We ordered various sushi rolls and even tried the hibachi menu. The sushi and hibachi was delicious. Two things you may want to know going in... there are no cook hibachi grills and no yum yum sauce.

This place is 100x better than the last time I had food from Sushi Kami. I don't know what happened with them but I'm very happy with Sushi Q taking over. The food was great, prices are average, and the new interior is also nice. There definitely is an extensive menu but all the more reason to come back and try more. A lot of the rolls there are different from any other places around here which is exciting. My boyfriend and I went opening day and you could tell the employees were a little stressed and inexperienced but everyone still did a good job and were super nice. With time I can see this place becoming very popular. I don't remember the names of the rolls we had but I'm sure they're all just as good! read more

My girlfriend and I got takeout sushi for my birthday. It was the Maki deluxe Combo and it was delicious. We placed the order there and we recieved it in less than 10 minutes. Overall not bad! The spicy trio roll was top notch definitely deserves a 5. The kalbi dinner was just mediocre flavor was almost there but not quite sure it was worth the price. Shrimp Shumai was better than just about anywhere that I've had it. The put a small dot of some sauce in each one and it makes all the difference.
