    DRAGON JB ROLL
    Shir F.

Sushi was great but the service was a little slow and overall our experience could have been a bit better. What we loved: The sushi was fantastic, they have an extensive sushi menu at a great price point and the quality of the sushi was great as well. We ordered the Dragon Roll, the Salmon Roll, and the JB Roll and the ceviche trio appetizer and everything was absolutely delicious. Love the presentation when the plates came out and the food was so good. What we didn't love: We came in for Happy Hour and the bartender was not in so we couldn't order any cocktails from the bar. We asked for the Happy Hour Sake instead (so the server wouldn't have to make the drink just pour the sake) but the server said he couldn't find the bottle for the Happy Hour Sake. He couldn't have offered to bring another type of Sake and charge us still for the Happy Hour price to make up for it but he didn't offer that at all just said sorry we don't have it. So we ordered the cold pressed espresso... only for the server to tell us the manager wasn't in who uses the espresso machine so no cold pressed espresso shots either. Ultimately we drank water, which again no big deal, but it took away from our experience there. The service overall was a little slow, our server was new and really sweet and friendly, but a little slow with the service. We asked for a side of spicy mayo and it came out after we had already finished our sushi rolls. Not a big deal but then when we needed to pay or wanted to ask about desert we had to wait ten minutes for him to come back to the table. There were no other servers around that we could call on for help instead. Service could definitely be improved. Overall the food was really good so we might come back another day to try this place again, maybe the restaurant was having an off day with the slower service and lack of drinks available, our server was really nice just new and obviously alone in the restaurant which seems to have been a poor decision on managements part leaving someone still in training alone with customers in the restaurant and not really the servers fault. We will try again and hopefully the experience will be a bit better.

    Miso soup

I ordered the hibachi chicken and the California roll and they forgot to include the California roll in the order itself, the miso soup was about a quarter of the cup full, the serving size of the actual chicken was very underwhelming for paying $30 dollars for it, the rice was actually the only good part of the meal I'm afraid. Me personally if given the option to tip before I will go a little extra so that the employees and cooks will feel a little obligated to make sure everything is properly handled and for this instance I tipped $10 on a 40 dollar meal. Over 25% percent. Safe to say they didn't feel obligated to do the job correctly either. All that said the taste of the food was decent, but it feels like they are trying to charge you double for a below average meal with very inadequate servings.

Stopped by for happy hour, server was attentive, food was delicious! 2x$15 sangria, quiet atmosphere.

California roll with big chunk of crab and no cucumber

We had a wonderful experience here with Anderson as our waiter. The presentation was spectacular and the sushi rice was very delicious. They made that well. I have attached a photo of the California roll with no cucumber because I have never had a better California roll. look at the big chuck of crab that's not mixed with all kinds of mayonnaise. the other two rolls we got were raw fish and they were excellent. The ONLY bad thing I would say is that this place is pricey but then again so are groceries. They should add more $$$ to the price description on yelp and google. We loved our service and food though. We do recommend Thank you again

This was the perfect late night meal to end an amazing night. After an a stellar performance at the Scottish Rite Temple I was in need of a delicious meal. I made it just in time, I was nervous that I would surely be turned away.... not at all. We were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile by Anderson. Anderson did not rush our selection. Anderson was knowledgeable of the menu and suggested the Caribbean fried rice and Crab Rangoon. Excellent choices! The kitchen wad closing but Anderson made sure to tell us to take time to enjoy our time with one another. That was so very thoughtful. Anderson went on to suggest the house sake. We tried mango , lychee, and the best in my opinion coconut ! Try it served cold. It was sweet and creamy without being too thick. Thank you Anderson, you made date nite great

Staff was friendly. The food comes presented in large wooden display plates. Quality was nice you can tell they use fresh ingredients. A decent location for a power lunch at good prices

Amazing food and great service by Lexi and the entire team. You can really tell they love to work here and the quality of service shows. We come often for the lunch special (the hibachi steak is our favorite). It comes with a miso soup, rice (white rice or fried), vegetables snd the protein for $18! The value for the price is amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and clean. L

NOT a Dynamite Roll. Idk what it is...‍

I went here for the first yesterday. I went with two family members. Our waitress was super nice and very helpful and kind. She brought my nephew the plastic piece in order for him to be able to use chopsticks. The manager was also great. I give only 3 stars because of the food and the kitchen. We all 3 ordered our own appetizers. I ordered a salmon skin hand roll (tamaki), my sister ordered some calamari, and my nephew ordered some gyoza. The gyoza and calamari came out in a normal amount of time; not really quickly, but not too long; maybe 10 minutes. However, the salmon tamaki took at least 30 minutes! (We were the only customers in the restaurant, so it wasn't because they were super busy). My family was done with their appetizers and had received their meals BEFORE I received my appetizer! Then, after taking a bite, the salmon was inedible! It was so tough and hard that I couldn't take a bite of it. It was very tough. So, I waited all of that time for nothing. I sent it back. My nephew ordered the California roll. It was good and he finished all of his food. My sister ordered the "dynamite roll". She did not receive a dynamite roll. We're not sure which roll she received, but it didn't have any avocado or several other ingredients. We were in a hurry and our food took so long that we didn't have time to send it back and get the correct order. I ordered the Black Jack roll. It was good, but it's one of the smallest rolls I've ever received at a sushi restaurant! The waitress had entered the correct roll, as it was on the receipt, but the kitchen made the wrong roll. The manager was very kind and helpful and took both the inedible salmon tamaki and the dynamite roll off of the check. They do have a happy hour too, so our check wasn't too bad ($50 before tip). But, I don't think I would go back just because the kitchen is slow, gets orders wrong, and the rolls are very small!

    Vegetable Spring Rolls

This is the first time I stopped by this Sushi Sake location for dinner. The place is small to medium size and looks renovated with an open kitchen. Something that got my attention right away, was the table set up. Each table had a small square dish but instead of a table placemat, they used a napkin and honestly, they didn't need to add that, they could easily just add the plate and utensil set on top of it like most restaurants do, so that was kind of off. We started with some wine and ordered the house Pinot Grigio, and it was ok. For appetizers, we got the Spring Rolls, and those were good. The order brings 3 of them so it's perfect for sharing. As the main entree, I had the Aged Tofu, which was ok, the tofu was pretty dry and the sauce was sweet, kind of like an eel sauce. The portion was pretty big tho. I also had the Veggie Fried rice, and I was surprised by the big portion it was for $8! The rice was delicious! And you can easily share that between 2 people. My boyfriend ordered the Dolphins Roll and it came in the weirdest presentation. The role itself was good but they needed to find a better way to present this dish because the aluminum foil was a mess. It holds the roll but most of the bottom rice of the roll just sticks to it so you were practically holding half of the roll and then trying to get whatever is sticking out of the aluminum foil. Now this is not a fancy place, i get it, the prices here are amazing but I've been to other locations of the same restaurant a little better.

The service from beginning to end was great. Speacially Key, this young man was friendly, recommended great items. The food was delicious! Daniella the manager was very involved and her team was a direct reflection of how awesome she was. Great stafff! Overall an awesome experience!

Found this gem on DoorDash and when I wanted sushi for lunch, I decided to stop in. The place is clean and cozy. Great for lunch and dinner. Sushi is fresh and delicious. A lot of options to choose from. I am a fan of the Tiger and Miami Heat rolls. Consistently good!! Plenty of seating inside and they do have a few tables outside as well. Friendly staff and great service.

We started with the hamachi, which was beautifully balanced with truffle-ponzu, jalapeño, wakame, cucumber, carrots, masago, and just the right touch of heat. The spicy edamame with chili garlic sauce was addictive and came out hot and perfectly seasoned. For rolls, we ordered the Crunchy Joy (shrimp tempura, chopped crabstick, tempura flakes, topped with avocado, yellow chili sauce, and eel sauce), which had such a satisfying texture and flavor combo, and the spicy hamachi roll, which was fresh, flavorful, and well-executed without being overpowering. One of the surprises of the night was the salmon burger with fries -- genuinely so good. The salmon patty was juicy, the avocado portion was generous, and the dressing tied everything together really nicely. We also tried their ramen, which is new to the menu, and it did not disappoint. The broth was deeply flavorful and comforting, with a soft-boiled egg, edamame, and mushrooms. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. We finished with the biscoff cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and inviting, with a lovely outdoor patio option as well. Overall, this place feels like a true neighborhood gem -- great food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I'll definitely be returning.

This has been one of my top go-to spots to bring my family, so it was disappointing to have a different experience this time. We ordered a variety of dishes, including some of our usual favorites. I got the spicy edamame, which unfortunately seemed a bit overcooked--the beans were much softer than I prefer. My daughter ordered a chicken dish that ended up being mostly breading with very little chicken inside. I also ordered my usual salmon teriyaki, but this time the sauce tasted overcooked, almost burnt, which made it difficult to enjoy. I even had my daughter and her boyfriend try it to make sure it wasn't just me, and they both agreed. That said, not everything missed. The service was amazing. My daughter liked the miso soup. The Crunchy Joy roll (I believe that's the name) was very good, and the deep-fried pork gyoza was amazing as always. Overall, I was very disappointed since this place has consistently been one of my favorites. I'm hoping this was just an off day and that my next visit is back to the quality I'm used to. This is the reason for my three stars.

I found out about this spot from New York Times list of the top 25 restaurants in Miami and I was not disappointed. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with FLAVOR. The restaurant opens at 4:00 p.m., so there are no lunch specials. We arrived just a few minutes after opening and had our pick of seating. The dining room is on the smaller side, and given its high ratings, I'd recommend arriving early. Not long after we were seated, the tables started filling up quickly. Our server was friendly, attentive, and offered several excellent personal recommendations. To start, we ordered the vegetable spring rolls, which were delicious and came with five generously sized rolls. For my entrée, I chose the chicken Pad Thai. When I asked about adding spice, our server suggested ordering it on the side, which turned out to be the perfect recommendation. The Pad Thai arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, and being able to adjust the spice level to my liking made the dish even better. My partner ordered the red curry, which arrived piping hot and was thoroughly enjoyed. Before leaving, we ordered the crab fried rice to go, and it was packed with noticeable chunks of crab. One thing worth mentioning is that the portions are very generous--large enough to share in many cases. Other than the somewhat challenging parking situation, I have no complaints. The food, service, and overall experience were excellent, and I look forward to returning whenever I'm back in the area.

Everyone on the staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. The Happī Hour menu stands out as one of the best values in the area. I had 2 Classic Mojitos, Shrimp Cocktail, Lumpia Shanghai Roll, Pinoy BBQ Skewers and Kurobuta Corn Dogs from the Happī Hour menu. From the full menu, I had Salmon Tiradito, and the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode for dessert. Standouts for me were the Salmon Tiradito which had a beautiful presentation. It comes plated like a work of art with gooseberry, fresno chili, annatto oil, mustard oil, sea salt, white nikirisoy aioli. Wish I had taken a photo. This is the only place I ever order corn dogs (and I ALWAYS order them here) which are made with a Japanese sausage and come with a special spicy mustard that gives it an interesting, gourmet kick. Don't go heavy on the mustard if you're sensitive to spice. Hot! I am told the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode is inspired by the owner's son, and it is magnificently-plated and delicious. This is not the campfire version of S'mores. This is the haute cuisine version. You cannot beat Sushi Bichi on quality of food and experience for the price, especially during the Happī Hour which runs 4-6:30pm. You can walk onto the beach after your meal, if you'd like. It's right there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Parking tip: there is a large public lot on Collins Avenue around the corner that I've always found a spot in. Short walk to Sushi Bichi.
