Fried stuff. Fried chicken.

Amazing taste! Extremely delicious. Great looking. What a nice looking and clean restaurant! Highly recommended.

Teriyaki salmon roll...delicious!
Kellie R.

The food was delicious! The sushi tacos are bite size (I wish I had know because they're too small for the price) but we're amazingly delicious. My boyfriend doesn't like salmon but he tried my salmon tacos and actually liked them! His spicy shrimp and mango burrito was great and the teriyaki salmon sushi roll was also great! My boyfriend also ordered a small bowl of ramen and he really enjoyed that. We loved our visit and hope one day our city opens up something like this place!

Strolled along the street and came upon this little store. Tried the Tuna and Salmon tacos, it was delicious. The price is reasonable, tacos were small, good for snacks not a whole meal

Ohshingu Roll (not sure if I spelled that right) and a Veggie Miso Ramen Bowl

So I was walking back to my hotel in 30 degree weather and I passed by this spot and saw one word- Ramen. I definitely couldn't say no to some hot miso broth. You can create your own bowl with the base which made it great for a vegetarian option. Also everything is marked as gluten free, vegetarian etc so it went in and got a roll as well! The Japanese pickle roll looked different and tasted amazing. I would've given them a 4 star because they didn't have 4 of the desserts on the menu when I went (dessert sushi rolls are my goal to eat to I was pretty disappointed). But the service was so great, and the prices are so worth it that they deserve a 5 star. Great spot, love the ambience, and come here for sure!

Sushi salmon tacos

They were opened late on New Year's Eve 2019... surprisingly not a lot of people, so we ducked in for some quick takeout. Service was polite and quick! No concerns. Loved the sushi tacos (lots of avocado) and the petite ramen-- devoured it all. Perfect yummy snacks on a cold night and to end the year.

Dragon roll in the middle, lobster balls on the right and I forget the left. Amazing!!!

Meh. Nothing special. Odd thing - they hoard the spy sauce like a precious commodity. Never seen anything like it.

Priced reasonably and they were not cheap in the ingredients…read more Ordered their no. 1 with tuna, salmon, shrimps tempura and caviar. The bowl was packed with shrimps...there was at least 5 shrimps! Flavour is decent but too much leafy greens in my opinion. Would recommend it.

Did you know that Poke means "cut into chunks" in Hawaiin?…read more The origin of Poke, pronounced poh-kay, like okay, comes from the days where local fisherman would slice up smaller reef fish, while seasoning with what was available such as sea salt, seaweed, nuts or algae, and then served it on vegetables and rice. Today there are many more variations. At Poke Bol, you'll find an assortment of healthy and savoury selection to choose from, at different price ranges, where each bowl is fresh, flavourful, and fully loaded. Whichever choice you select, don't forget to douse it with the house sauce and spicy sauce: Deluxe: Tuna, Salmon, Tempura Shrimp, Red Snapper and caviar. Crab & Shrimp: Snow crab and Shrimp. Eel: Grilled Eel and caviar. Tempura: Eggplant, zucchini, sweet potato, algue. Vegetarian: Algue salad, brocoli, asparagus, cherry tomato, sweet potatoes and onions. ... and many more on the menu. If that's not enough, there are also some appetizers such as dumplings with peanut butter sauce or fried dumplings. Come and meet the owners of this family-run business and taste the difference in freshness and remarkably fast service!

Review for 6/26/22. Got to-go order for dinner. Stayed at the hotel nearby and craved for some…read moreAsian food. Little bit pricy with the fish potion but food was freshly made. The Spicy 5.0 had pretty much the same ingredients as the spicy salmon but had both tuna and salmon. It's also $1.00 more. I liked the salmon itself as it was hardly to taste the tuna from the salmon with the sauce on. Overall a good choice for a quick dinner. Liked the idea of adding mango chucks in- a different tropical approach than the regular Hawaiian poke. Not heavily seasoned.

I have ordered from this restaurant for take-out multiple times. Although to call Poke Bolbar a…read morerestaurant would be rather a misnomer: it is more accurately a stand with counter service that shares an indoor dining area with another stand (Banh Mi 79). Service has always been no-frills, swift, and courteous. The food has also been consistent all the times I have patronized this place. I usually get the "Hawaii Poke Bowl" which consists of "Ahi Tuna and Salmon, Lettuce, Cucumber, Wakame, Kimchi, Edamame, Green Onion, Crunch Mix". I customarily request they replace the crunch mix and rice with more salad (no judgement please), and they always happily oblige. You can also personalize your bowl by adding extras such as avocados, kimchi, and so on for an additional cost. If you like salmon, I would recommend the "Bora Bora Poke Bowl"; if you like tuna, I would recommend the "Tahiti Poke Bowl." All things considered, I cannot say this is the best poke bar in town, but it also isn't the worst. I wouldn't plan a date here, nevertheless I would come here alone for a quick lunch fix, or a light dinner.
