For $130, we were supposed to get a certain number of pieces of fish. The first thing we notices is the deep fried small barramundi fish in the center, which I guess was supposed to be 8 pieces of fish since it was cut in 8 tiny pieces. We had ordered this piece as an appetizer in the past. It is ok, but it is not shashimi! Other pieces were cut small so it brought up the count I guess. We don't normally complain, as we generally never return is such a thing happens, but my mellow wife complained and we got two additional orders of yellowtail, slices very thin so you could almost wee thru them. The kind you get at all you can eat buffets. This is all the chef's fault, thinking we were schmucks perhaps or maybe he ran out of fish. To the Maitre D's and the waitresses benefit, they tried with the extra fish and a free dessert, and we tipped well, as we always do, but we will never return and we will let the many people who we referred over the years know. While the do offer Full Omakase for $189, Nigiri Omakase for $140, and Petite Omakase for $65, they also allow you to order nigiri, sashimi along with multiple other specials and cut rolls. On our first walk in experience, we ordered the Petite Omakase which included 4 seasonal dishes, 6 pieces of sushi, a light fish broth, and a small dessert, we also ordered some add-on sushi. On our first reservation here, we opted for the Full Omakase, which was absolutely amazing. It is hard to find any fault in the experience here as everything is done with such meticulous care, and exceptional service, making you feel welcome. I cannot recommend Soichi enough!
