Came here with a girlfriend and we both loved it! She got the curry bowl and veggie tempura roll and said it was delicious. I got a salmon roll and tempura tuna roll and they tasted great. I was surprised to see tobiko on my tempura roll since I didn't order it, but I guess it comes with the tempura rolls- so that was nice! It's definitely a small restaurant and so noisy neighbors can somewhat affect the experience, but we just tried to tune them out and enjoy ourselves. The wait staff was incredibly polite and made some great food recommendations. Will definitely come again! read more

First, let me say, the sushi is excellent. Now for the rest: my daughter ordered the sushi and sashimi platter. We ( my husband and I) ordered 3 different types of nigiri. Separate from my daughters food. We all had our appetizer and the roll, waiting for the rest of our food. My daughters platter arrived and we continued to wait. She ate her food and we continued to wait. When I asked about it, turns out they put our order with my daughters platter. WTF. Who does that?? Who puts others food on someone else's plate??? I was craving certain sushi. I ordered it. And it ended up on someone else's plate and I was supposed to know that they did that. Because that's something normal to do. Again, their sushi is excellent. That's why we came back. Service sucked the first time, was a little better this time (I felt bad for the waiter because he couldn't figure why they did this either). The one star is because after $140, I didn't get to eat the dinner that I came for and ultimately paid for. Absolutely out of line. Never coming back here. read more

Solid sushi spot near UCR! Came around 6pm on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. My husband and I were able to sit down anywhere we wanted. There were options to sit either indoors and outdoors, but we chose to sit indoors. We ordered within minutes of being seated. The staff and servers were extremely nice and constantly checked in on us. We didn't time how long we waited, but it felt like 15-20 mins before we got our 3 sushi rolls. Spent $50 for everything. It all tasted great and our stomachs were content afterwards! Will definitely be coming back here for sushi :) read more

Came here at 9pm since they close late. The interior looks nice and clean. My friends and I each ordered a sushi roll and a miso soup. About 30 minutes later they brought out everyone's sushi rolls except mine. We asked if we could get our miso soups since they had not brought them out at this point. About 20 minutes later everyone was finishing up their rolls and I was still waiting for mine. I decided to cancel my sushi roll since we were leaving soon and I did not want to make my friends wait for me. I walked up to the cash register and the chef said it was ready and waiting at the counter. I still said I wanted to cancel since everyone was done eating at this point. I am not sure how long it had been waiting there or how much longer they would've waited to give it to me if I had not gone up to ask. I was able to taste a few pieces from my friend's tiger roll. It was just okay, nothing special but not bad either. The workers were nice but the overall experience left a bad first impression on me. They did apologize for the inconvenience and said my roll takes longer to make since I got a lobster roll. I looked around and other parties who got there after me all had their food so I'm not sure how accurate that response was. read more

Came to Sushi Times with my boyfriend and his dad and we enjoyed not only our food, but the service. Everything we tried exceeded expectations. Highly recommend the baked lobster roll, my personal favorite from the wide selection. The ambiance is homey and a good playlist going. Will for sure come back, we had a good time:) read more

I have to say this place is really amazing. They have really good quality fish and it never fails to amaze me how delicious and fresh it is every time I come. We are fish connoisseurs and tend to order lots of sashimi, nigiri, and omakase type orders. We recommend the albacore, kampachi, and toro! Melts like butter in your mouth, Paul and the waitstaff are very attentive. This place is never too packed or busy, leaving a calm atmosphere. read more

I was so excited when I found a place that serves curry Katsu near campus. The curry was delicious, and the chicken breast cutlet was cooked perfectly! I can't wait to go back and try their desserts and their mango drink. I appreciated that they consolidated the food to avoid wasting plastic and styrofoam. They way that they package their napkins, sauces, and chopsticks in the tiny bag was really neat (I wish I took a picture). When I drove by, this place was packed inside, and the parking lot was full, which made me decide to order delivery. I can totally understand why they're so busy. Keep it up, Sushi Times!! read more

A perfect case of not judging a book by its cover. The location didn't have the best availability for parking & we were skeptical seeing the building location. We were grateful that didn't stop us. The ambiance was great & inside was very clean. They serve authentic Japanese sushi with fish options straight from Japan. My family shared edamame, teriyaki chicken bento box & three sushi rolls. Shrimp tempura roll, King Dragon roll, baked salmon roll. The King Dragon was one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. My wife's favorite was the shrimp tempura roll. Best of all my 4-year old son; who is really picky, loved eating the sushi rolls. He ate quite a bit including the teriyaki chicken. Can safely say that Sushi Times is one of the best sushi restaurants I've had. Highly recommend! read more

Food was wayyy too hot! I got ramen and a baked salmon roll and burned my tongue and roof of my mouth. My friend got curry with the chicken katsu and also burned their mouth due to the food being piping hot. The service was ok. The workers didn't check up on us and if we needed something we had to wave them down. When they dropped the food off they didn't ask if we needed anything else they just dropped the food off and left right away. Food was OK. Would be better if it was a safe temperature to eat. Definitely wouldn't come back. read more

My husband and I have come to Sushi Times a few times now and we always walk away satisfied. Service is great, the rolls are great, and the ambiance is enjoyable. Last time we came, there were only 2 servers (granted the restaurant is on the smaller end) and they were HUSTLING. Well done! They don't do AYCE, so we come here to get our sushi fix without needing to stuff ourselves. It is located in a tougher spot in Riverside and on a street with few restaurants/shops, so I hope they are able to stay in business! read more

You could argue that's only a dollar on my end, but I could make the same argument that say it's only a dollar on their end to honor the price that they advertised. Tacos were still delicious, but advertising the wrong price should not be at a customer to pay. Needless to say, I wouldn't support a business again that doesn't have honorable practices.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we stood at the entrance for about five minutes without being greeted or seated. We eventually looked over the menu on our own before someone finally sat us. After being seated, it took roughly 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order, and another 30 minutes before our food arrived. Throughout our meal, we were never checked on or asked if we needed anything, including refills for our water, which we were only offered after we had already paid the bill. While waiting for our food, we also overheard a highly inappropriate exchange between another customer and the waitress. The customer made an offensive comment about ordering a "Mexican roll" despite "not liking Mexicans," and the waitress responded with "that's understandable." Comments like this are unacceptable in any workplace and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The food itself was great, and the cooks were very kind, but the service and the unprofessional behavior we witnessed left us disappointed. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable leaving a tip. We hope the management will address these issues so future guests can have a better experience. read more

We ordered the Space X Step, which came with 10 pieces of sushi, 10 pieces of sashimi, and several specialty rolls displayed on a large wooden bridge. It definitely turned heads when it arrived at the table, but the food was more than just presentation. The fish tasted fresh, especially the tuna and salmon. The uni with king scallop was one of my favorite bites of the night--sweet, creamy, and very fresh. The tuna roll had a great balance of flavor, and the taco wasabi added a nice kick between courses. I've gone around 4 times now. Every time I say I'm not going to eat out, this is the one place that can change my mind. I'll spend my money here 1,000 times over. The rolls and sashimi are amazing. Truly couldn't recommend it more. I've been really late, before closing and the quality doesn't change at all. The Tonkatsu Ramen is very good. The noodles are cooked perfectly soaked with the flavor of the pork broth. The pork is cooked perfectly, the egg is flavorful and the fish cakes are delicious in general. The service was excellent and well on following the instructions or orders. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem! It's a cozy spot tucked away in a plaza across from the farmhouse plaza. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow at times. I always come here after my closing shifts at work and their atmosphere is so welcome and calming. Their philadelphia rolls, their ramen, and appetizers are always a go to for me. I would definitely recommend this place for late night dinner too for college kids (close by to UCR) as I've done this too and it was still an amazing experience. The service we had was fast, I still don't know who our server was because about 6 different people kept asking us if we needed anything. Our tablet worked fine and we were able to order everything from it without having it malfunctioning or not working as some others have stated. One odd thing to mention is the soda cup is about 2x as big as the water cup. The sushi itself tasted good, however my girlfriend and I try to get our moneys worth so we normally only pick nigiri and the standard apps, and avoid any kind of rolls. Our take is on the carpaccio, seared salmon, tuna, and escolar, and fresh water eel. All the nigiri we had weren't "fishy" or tasted not fresh or whatever some of the other reviews mentioned but again we didn't have any of the items other people have complained about. So if you're looking for an AYCE sushi place and are tryna get your moneys worth I'd say it's a good place to go.
